This kit is a joy to build. Everything fits so precisely. I've just finished your Andys HHQ 1/16 Panzer III Ausf. J and the 1/16 M8 Greyhound kits. After finishing those, I wanted to tackle something a little simpler, so I found this little gem from Tamiya in my stash and am now working on it.
Thanks. Really nice build. "Waltz of the Flowers", nice touch.
You're the reason I tried hobby modeling :)
Hi Andy, would just to say how much I enjoy your videos . I have acquired so many hints and tips from your videos, thanks ( Ian from the 🇬🇧 ) 👍
Looking back Andy....I love your OOTB reviews and builds....really brought the fun back into the hobby Andy.
Prayers for Arizona and the rest of the country to come to its senses.
And reopen
God's Speed Andy
Amen!!!!
Rooting for you!!!!
Dear Andy
I've recently returned to this wonderful hobby after 25 years. Now in my forties I have a lot more patience and I want to finish my models as well as possible. Your channel is by far the best thing I've discovered. Your videos make the techniques so easy to understand and your video quality is top-notch. I can't wait to build my own Jagdtiger.
Keep up the awesome work!
How's the moddeling going so far in these past few years?
I have this kit on my desk right now! I just finished painting the camo and I'm currently working on painting the details like tools and cables. A really nice kit to work with.
Really great looking kit and as always with Tamiya the kits just fall into place
Love the weathering effects
Subbed. Perfect teaching and preview of possible kit buys. Invaluable.
Outstanding video, build and presentation to wathach again after a few years. Thank you Andy!
Just bought this Kit from Tamiya, quite excited to get working on it. not going to be quite like yours but practice makes perfect. thanks for the great help andy, Love your videos.. keep up the GREAT work!!!!
Andy, Great job! I enjoy seeing your builds.
really great build Andy. got to love Tamiya there just the best engineered kits out there.
seems to me those are dragon sprue,s. its exactly the same, its not the first and not the last time modelmakers use the same sort of moulds with different color plastic. maybe they use some of their own ideas, but thats it.
cyberhobby and takom do exactly the same both use the old dragon moulds.
torro and hobbyboss 1/16 tiger , same mold different color plastic.
i don,t have a problem with it, good is good, but credit must be credited to the right maker.
and since you can,t have all the models from all the makers you can compare them simply, and thats where the money is made.
mouldmaking and mouldusing is very much like making a song and covering a song.
you can change it up a bit, you can even improve on it, but its still not your song.
if you think so,
i build a jagdtiger from dragon and it has the same sprue form.
everybody has their own favorite modelmaker, me don,t care about that stuff
i know from my local hobbystore manager that its very common to buy each others molds, change them up a bit and then pass it on as your own.
and even if they don,t i still don,t care, i like them anyways.
quality of trumpeteer, dragon, tamiya ,meng is outstanding , not many others are that good.
*they're
Yes some brands use the same stamp/sprue but I think Tamiya use theyr own made sprue. When they rebox few italeri models the sprues come from italy
I never knew Nutcracker music could make such an amazing soundtrack for building tanks! I actually found myself humming The Blue Danube while working on a chieftain yesterday.
Keep up the videos! I've been inspired to finally dig into a mass of kits that I've accumulated over the years but haven't made the time to build till now. Got addicted to Gundams.
Nice Job Andy. This is so different than the Tamiya Jadgtiger in the 70's I built. Much more detail.
Great video Andy, respect for your work!
Good timing on this video Andy. I've just finished putting the dark yellow coat over the shadow coat on my Tamiya Jagdtiger so it's nice to see your paint scheme and weathering. Definitely going to steal your polish and rain effects as I've not tried those before. Great kit and another great video. Chris
Happy New Year 2020. Thank you Andy. Looking forward to visiting your store in Glendale, Arizona again soon to purchase two more kits (armor, of course!), and more paint.
Great Video. Glad to see the Jagdtiger, I've got one coming and always nice to have a look before building.
Thank you
This is my new favorite channel, I'm learning so much!
Friggin incredible. You rock. Keep them coming
Great work. Nice camouflage job.
Big Modeller does some great "wearing" work with a black oil wash.
Love your vids Andy! Keep doing what you love, and it will be fun to see your channel grow throughout the model making community!
Thank you I do love it
I like the addition you have done on the rust with the pigment. I will have to try that or add to other models I have. I have done a rust effect with rust colors and then adding chipping fluid and then a color I want to use. then chip away gives it some depth and color as well.
why are these videos so interesting? like I've watched idk how many today. I've tried my hand at this with a ford mustang. and failed miserably. but I enjoy watching this.
Amazing attention to detail as always. Can't wait for what's next!
Thank you for watching
22,020 views now. Your videos are some of the best (OOTB) Out Of The Box builds that I have seen. Very easy to understand and enjoyable to watch.

@@itsmeracoon7907 sheesh calm down, some (ppl) people wont know what that means. Lol
Great build Andy! I'm actually working on the Dragon kit and I'm hook to it cause it's awesome but I can't wait to get my hands on the Tamiya one. Please keep the videos coming!!!
nice job Andy, looks great!! your painting job is fantastic
I love how often you build new kits, you must be a fast builder!
Andy says he knocks models out in A WEEK!!!! tgat is crazy
Looks wonderful as always!
Amazing Andy
great tank model!
This will be very helpful when I build my Tamiya 1/35 scale Jagdpanther. Nice work. While there are thousands of different ways to paint and weather a military vehicle, I like the subtle treatment best.
Wow! Amazing detail. You make this look soooo easy.
I learnt so much about modelling from you great inspiration
Good video Andy. It's been about 50 years since I built my last model. I think I'll get back into it,..... really enjoyed how you painted the tank. Cheers from Canada.
Hello Andy,Excellent job on the Jagdtiger, just might buy one myself.
Looks like a nice update of the kit from the late 1960's/early 1970's.
Thanks Andy. Great Video. This model looks really cool, I must get it.
Thank you for watching
Wish their was more stores like this where I live, I do have a tamiya store, I'll have to check it out. I love this!
Your work is really very good. I am loving your channel, thank you.
perfectly bild Andy!once again!thanks for sharing!!

Very informative and clear.Thanks Andy.
Great video! Definitely gonna get this. The Jagdtiger is my favourite tank
Love your work!
Dude knows his stuff and does amazing work
cheers Andy. it does a good job
Beautiful work!
I asked you to bo this TD about 3 months ago and you said you would, thanks it looks fantastic
Great video andy, built this kit myself and i love it. Keep it up. 👍🏻
Thank you
Great music at 1:58. When I was in 5th grade my class took a field trip to listen to music like this and all the classics. 1812 Overture Flight of The Valkyrie Flight of the Bumblebee etc. To this day I enjoy what my folks once called longhair music. Barely a year or 2 later *the longhairs brought to America the Beatles Rolling Stones Buffalo Springfield and all the others.*
Great video Andy! Really enjoy the painting portion of it.
Thank you
What I love about this kit is that it goes together so quickly
yes that's Tamiya, Thank you for watching
I had that kit it was brilliant to make no problems at all
Best channel on youtube. Thank you for the great content!
Thank you
Excellent job & video too!!
Very informative and well done!
Great build!
Loved the video Andy nice work
GREAT WORK!
Outstanding video and presentation.
Great build Andy a very nice kit
Great job as usual!
Great build!
Do the tamiya Somua s35 please
Nice work, Andy) 👍
Thanks for the video great work
I've learned a lot from your videos, the only part I haven't figured out is how your decals don't silver over the flat finish. I always have to gloss coat my kits before decals, then another coat of gloss for weathering, then a coat of dull after it's all dry. But no matter how you do it, you're a bad ass modeler, no doubt about it.
Hi Andy that came very nice keep up the good video's there great
Great video!!!! Thanks
its awesome tank Andy love it plz make more videos soon ty
This one is a joy to build, it just shows what Tamiya is capable of these days.
yes it is
Andy's Hobby Headquarters
I just wish they would retool some of their older kits, which leave a bit to be desired. I think they'd blow Dragon and their $100 kits out of the water.
good build great weathering well done Andy
thank you
....another great video and beautiful model buddy! 👍👌👏
Thank you for watching
Awesome as always Andy
Thank you
very nice video again and nice paintjob
Hi, when I paint thd German 3 tone camo. pattern l usually cut out the colour band patterns from Tamiya modelling tape, works pretty well, wish I could figure out how to use an airbrush, a bit of a pain to clean up after using each colour tho. I think.
Great vid ' keep 'em comming
One of the best kits you have ever build
Could you please do some british tanks: Churchill/Matilda/Cromwell/M3 Grant/Universal Carrier. I really like them and your tank looks really good so please build them.
I build the Mk. VII Churchill and its a wonderful kit
Thank you I will be doing some british Tamiya armor soon
+Andy's Hobby Headquarters well i am looking forward to that
Love the Jagdtiger
poly caps are such a great idea and so simple, I just don't know why all manufacturers don't use them nice build video Andy. excellent result too
yes very helpful
Beautiful. Just beautiful!
thank you
+Andy's Hobby Headquarters where do you get those vallejo pigments
Wow, I spent a lot of time building military models when I was young. Very familiar with Tamiya as well. Kids these days don't build models it seems, but when you look at the price of them, its no wonder. Quality model kits have become very expensive.
In the early days of Tamiya, their kits were not as detail, but more detail than most. I purchased this kit in 1971 and it wasn't quite like this. As years gone by, I just simply don't have the time to build models, but it's nice to watch you to build it though. PS, I think Tamiya started selling model in 1969.
Like the way you do your models, not too technical and "artistic" but just great for the kind of modeler who does it like me,for self gratification and not to serious.
I like your channel/videos more and more, i dont know exactly why. Maybe because you are trying do make the best models, always a new good idea for a diorama an you are bringing always content for the viewers. So keep it up. Greetings from austria ;)
Love your channel and your vids.
My first ever model is the 1/48 version and I did it when I was 12
That poor Panzer 4 box!, it has been violated lol, nah great build, I have this model at home, need to get around to doing it, thanks for the handy tips :)
I always have this phobia of doing small parts. Sometimes it just fly off my twizzers and into the never to be found zone :(
Happens to me too
oh you dont even know how bad it is with 1:72 scale models xDDD its awful
@@bloro2812 thats why i stick w 1 35 and 1 16
@@bloro2812 1: 350 ships is hell
The trick to working with small parts is to cover an area of your bench with tape facing up. I use gaffers tape. This way if you drop a piece instead of it bouncing it gets stuck on the tape.
One of the best kits tamiya can offer imo
.Awesome Andy.>!
Epic work Andy Ray from uk
very good work, greetings from Germany!!!
I tend to use regular Tamiya cement on really teeny-tiny parts because it is more viscous and holds the part in place while the cement dries. Just a tiny dot is all that is needed.
very nice channel, enjoyable videos
thank you
15:34 inside crew open hatch: "hmmmm do somebody said luftwaffles???"
Rubberband tracks... Tamiya need to lift their game in the track department
I like your videos, you are really great
When you put on decals they always adhere better on a glossy surface. You run the risk of the decals silvering when they are applied to a flat painted surface. I would have applied an acrylic clear gloss before I put on the decals, and then an acrylic clear dull coat over the finished decals. I like this model and I've always liked Tamiya tank kits.
nice job
very cool video again mate
Thank you
