umm... we already get tons of new stuff in updates, i personally think ea is allowed to actually make content and make money off of it:) thats kinda how games work
@@rebeccanilsen7240 no, no, this is literally bare minimum. there is a difference between working and earning what you deserve and treating your fan base like cash cows milking them for everything they’ve got. it’s disrespectful
@UCjciworv5e8jaXgf3-rUTiQ to be honest a few years ago having micro transactions in games was very unusual, so for a lot of people it's really weird to see games do it now. And there are still many games that don't keep their upgrades behind a pay wall, and knowing that small, or indie creators intentionally ask for less money, and give you more content than big brands that already make way more, it just feels bad. Like, I get the production on a sims game is hard, but this free update they did where they literally just incorporated cc content, that kind of stuff would be seen way more in an indie game, like stardew valley for example. The guy makes pretty regular updates that add several items and some new mechanics to the game, and he makes sure that the guys that make the mods for his game get the update early so that they can reprogram everything accordingly. That's just having a sense for your customers, and a lot of games that have loot boxes and payable upgrades kind of don't care that much

I actually miss cleaning from sims 3, I hope this one is slightly more intense, but I love the look of the dust bunnies. Add some more realistic gameplay
To be honest it started out as a off the gridd themed and eco friendly living, stuff like that. But it suddenly changed. And got Laundry Day, Ecolifestyle and than a off the gridd free update 😅
One thing that really frustrates me is that they don’t consider how people outside of America when pricing these things. All Sims content is almost twice as expensive in Australia. I don’t have nearly $10 to spend on a kitchen set. I understand it’s already a lot in the US but think about the rest of the world and conversion rates please.
In Canada all three kits cost the same as a Game Pack, but the three of them together have less content than a Stuff Pack. I can tell how much they sell will depend entirely on region, with Americans buying it the most and everyone else passing. I will be waiting for modders to upload the stuff for free, like I did with the TS3 store.
@@jodoodlyboi2963 yeah. i do really enjoy multitasking in the sims 4 and obviously CAS and build mode is great, but it's hard to maintain my interest in the full game. i'll go months without playing it.
Sims 3 will always be my favourite, but I don’t think I’ll ever get used to the graphics after playing sims 4 for so long which sucks. Unfortunately sims 3 Island paradise was my favourite pack, but it caused a glitch in my game that causes it to freeze if I’m in Isla paradiso :( never found a fix for that issue
@@stephrowles5520 same problem my laptop cant run the island paradise properly and i already get used to the sims 4 graphics but i also get boring really fast. So... I dont play sims for a moments now.
I really do think this is a cash grab. A lot of these “niches” could have easily fit into separate packs. Country kitchen and the vacuum pack could have easily been a part of laundry day as a general cleaning pack (or idk in the base game maybe?) and the throwback fit kit could have been in fitness stuff. The sims team is ignoring our concerns and just milking money out of us. Stuff packs already barely have any content and now they are giving us even less. The sims community needs to stop defending this, this isnt ok and if we keep being so passive about it then they’ll just take advantage of us even more. Sure, the kitchen set is cute, but I’m not getting it, because I’m not rich and can’t afford to use all my parents savings on a game I’ve already spent hundreds of dollars on :/
I disagree about stuff packs giving barely any content, the early ones yeah but the recent ones are pretty good. But I do agree with everything else you said. Also the kitchen stuff could've been in cool kitchen, because that pack is a joke; it literally has more good cas than actual kitchen stuff!
@@Spidertheidiot yeah but if you think about it, it took them a very long time to finally come out with decent stuff packs. I think paranormal and tiny living are very good stuff packs, the rest add little to nothing to the game, for the price that they charge at least.
@@__-_. I agree with that, most stuff packs are WAY too expensive, at least where I live, there about 15$. I guess have kinda a controversial opinion on stuff packs 😅 I actually like most of them that came after mosquito stuff, and I really like mosquito stuff itself.
ikr. btw, it's crazy to charge even more by adding small kind of stuff that could be freebies to a game with a collection that equals over the price of $700 usd (if you bought them at the original prices) which is more than the price of my pc. Smh.
i bought all the kits, i have got no dust bunnies, tbh i don't think bust the dust is worth it consider I GET NO DUST BUNNIES, apart from that its cool
Exactly this community lives to bash sims 4 but forgets the sims 3 store. It was the biggest cash grab in sims history. My goodness if you don't want it don't buy it.
Mark my words, most of these kits are going to be a “my first pet stuff” sort of situation all over again. Vacuums would have been a great addition to laundry day, wouldn’t it
What worries me is that by adding these small packs, does this give EA an excuse to not add as much to other packs? If they did this earlier, maybe they would have released Island Living without a kitchen, and sold the kitchen separately. The expansion and game packs are already so bare, it feels like they are using this as a opportunity to stretch their content even further.
@@AlinaMauMau they could do it tho. Just put more ”useless” items in the original pack and put one key item in a kit like an add on. But that would probably cause huge backlash.
The clothes should have been in fitness stuff, the kitchen set should have been in cool kitchen and the cleaning gameplay should have been in laundry day 🤡
Actually, the Country kitchen set doesn’t fit with Cool Kitchen at all. Country Kitchen should have been in Cats and Dogs or have been included in a future farming kit.

The free birthday stuff wasn't even that special if you're someone who already plays with CC from these creators. I already had a few of the pieces, so it was like getting something that was regifted.
I feel like the DLC of my DLC has DLC. Seriously, as if game packs weren't already an overt cash-grab to begin with, of course EA's marketing department has been been working tirelessly to come up with something just as good and blatantly offensive.
Yes i think they just want the money now it looks as if they havent really worked their hardest on this it probably was just to get the money and not to make us simmers happy-
I think I’d like the kit idea more if there was a “build your own kit” kinda thing. For example say you want the cas from snowy escape and the gameplay for get famous. You could build a custom kit and based on what you’ve chosen, a price would be calculated. It feels a little low shooting for the sims team to be adding these things you can buy when the game itself is so expensive, especially over the last year. This is just my personal opinion. I love the game I just don’t like how expensive it is.
That’s a good idea! I was thinking that they can separate the bigger packs to people who want specific things. For example if someone wants the cas from cats and dogs then they could just buy that. But I figured that would make them lose money. 😔
I feel like they were already doing that tbh, like Cats & Dogs, Laundry Day, Parenthood and such are packs that feel like they should've been in the base game.
At this point, EA is just doing whatever they want bc they know people will still buy it... I would much rather pay to support independent creators who actually listen to the community
i agree with you alot, there are so many people who would buy that its almost not possible not to make net profit at this point, specially when i look at twitch stream comments and see thousands of people willing to buy them makes me so disappointed at the community
They should have continued to co-op with content creators and create collab kits. Maybe they tried to but nobody in the community wanted to get behind their pricing strategy lol. Apparently console players can't get CC though, so I'm guessing this is all a strategy towards getting more from those players.
Welp, that settles it. Gonna start pirating every single one of these + every new pack. I'll use my money to support CC creators and small game studios.
@@usagiwhitenight yeah but it's not like they can't make a stuff pack out of these concepts. they're just saying one of the points of these kits is to introduce things that they "can't make a stuff pack out of". But they've already made stuff packs out of tiny ideas (e.g. laundry, fitness, kitchen stuff), but added some extra stuff to make it a full stuff pack. They could easily add things to make these stuff packs if they wanted, or update previous stuff packs to include this stuff, but they didn't because they want more money for less work.
honestly, they deserve people downloading the sims illegally. the prices for what they offer are completely ridiculous and not everyone can pay for it. If it was a little bit cheaper, i think more people would buy it and not download it illegally

Just don’t buy these. Don’t buy them now. Don’t buy them in a year. Don’t buy them if they go half off. If you don’t like them simmers need to start speaking with their wallets.
Why not just add this as free content to pre made packs. The kitchen stuff can go to kitchen stuff, vacuuming in laundry day, cas stuff in fitness stuff. They’re not big enough to pay that much for, I really don’t like this idea :,)
@@andrewmoeller1987 I mean yeah but since the stuff is all kitchen stuff i figured it would make more sense to add kitchen stuff to a kitchen pack rather than to a cats and dogs pack, y'know?
I posted this idea in reply to another video. Great minds think alike! I don't understand why she says these items wouldn't quite fit into other packs. Of course, I don't understand how anyone is defending any aspect of this. These packs cost $15 total. Does anyone really think there's $15 worth of content here? "Not a cash grab." Lol

There is already way too many dlc, this is just going to make everyone feel so inadequate for not getting everything... not worth it, don’t throw your money at them unless you’re sure.
they need free packs. not free updates. one other thing that bothers me is that i payed on ps4 and i had almost every single pack and when i switched to pc i cant transfer them. They should make it where the packs save to your EA account not your system. thats another money grab as well.

Honestly, I agree with you. I see no reason why we are paying 5 dollars for content that only amounts to 1/3 of a stuff pack. I honestly think kits should have been partnerships between cc creators and mod creators. It would be nice if they could put more of their things into the game considering alot of ps4 and Xbox players cant download cc.
RIGHT the country kitchen stuff would work so well in seasons or eco lifestyle, or even parenthood. And the vacuums could have fit with laundry day. And the cas kit could easily fit with the exercise pakc (can't remember the name lol)
I'm sorry but I'm a Nigerian girl who plays the sims on console, so I can't even get cc so I just play base game because I can't afford to pay for dlcs that come out because of how expensive it is when converted to my currency and I just feel alienated from the sims community. Its so upsetting to know that even if I tried to save up I could only get an expansion pack at most or a stuff pack at least and I'll have to save up for such a long time. So it really does offend me to know that the sims don't take into consideration players who don't live in the U.S.A. So this new dlc might be good news for some people but to me its just another thing I can't get on the sims 4 and honestly it makes me feel like I would have to stop playing sooner or later.
Same. In my country its like 40k Indian rupees for all the packs and the average pay is 10-15k indian rupees. This is why I pirate the whole game with no guilt. I won't pay them a single penny ever. But I do understand your situation since you're playing in console, you can't pirate it either :(
Save up your money for a second hand gaming laptop from 2016-ish and just pirate the game with VPN on. It's much more profitable than wasting your money like that.

These kits are ridiculous. Especially if you consider you can get thousands and thousands of maxis match CC for free! I don’t justify gameplay kits either. They literally added two animations and make it seem like a big deal.. they’re EA and have literal billions to invest. It’s honestly disrespectful to indie developers lol
Although I get what you’re saying and agree, they added a lot more than the 2 animations lilsimsie showed. These things should just be updated to previous packs imo.
It's not only disrespectful to indie developers. It's shows their full lack of respect for their customers. Rather than building a positive relationship with customers who may spend more in the long-term as returning customers, they're in for a quick buck.
@CatNoLikeBannana What if they COULD? The effort that EA and Maxis put into these packs could've been better spent by allowing CC or mods to be uploaded to the Gallery, as The Sims 4's equivalent of the Steam Workshop. They didn't, because this isn't about helping console players -- I said this in another comment, but NEVER mistake for altruism that which can be explained by greed. They don't want to help console players, they want to help their bottom line.
Ea makes some good games but holy moly are they greedy. For example, ea will make a new fifa game every year that’s pretty much the last one with a few changes for 60 dollars, while hello games (which has a studio of one room) that manages to make beautiful and game changing updates for free in no mans sky
What sucks is that in Australia, Sims games are even more expensive. So for example, expansion packs are $50 and game packs are $30. These Kits are going to be $8. It’s just absurd!
Canada here, and we have the same issue with it being even more expensive than the US. I have only ever bought a single pack full price (Vampires) because I had just bought the game and didn't know that they go on sale constantly. I love pointing out to US simmers that we pay ~$50 for an expansion and watching their heads explode with the idea of it being that much.
In the UK they just did a straight currency swap. $4.99 to £4.99. That's not even remotely the same price. I think EA just stuck their middle finger up at all non-Americans with these Kits. I might've bought one or two of these things on sale, but now I know the sale price here is basically just going to be how much the pack should actually cost EA can shove it up their arse.
but $40 in usd is equal to 51 Australian dollars. So, at least for expansions, you aren’t getting ripped off. Now for game packs on the other hand, you’re losing about 5 dollars

I love how we all bitched that we don’t like stuff packs and they should just stop selling them and make them all game and expansion packs& they said “alright, I see your stuff pack and raise you another, even shittier stuff pack!”
And if you think this is pricey and you're paying in US dollars just imagine how it's gonna be for the rest of the countries that don't use that currency
ea really just live in an American bubble. it's so infuriating how ignorant they can be to other countries (hating on the corporation, not players etc)
It costs 40DKK in Denmark which is about 6.50USD, and from seeing how expensive it is in a lot of other countries it looks like my country doesn’t have it too bad... even “just” paying 6.50USD is pretty expensive for what you’re getting here though.
5 dolars in Brazil is 25 reais, in here is almost impossible to have the full game, it's just to expensive, most of people who have the sims 4 just have the base game.
When you say that their intention isn’t for us to buy all of the packs, it completely negates the fact that the game is so bland that we would actually want to have all of the packs, so that we could have more things to play with. They’re monetising every single experience that you could have with this game and I don’t know how people are still falling for this, time and time again. It’s like having to buy a skeleton for your soul and then all of the organs and limbs separately in order to become a whole person.
Yup, totally agree. When I got the sims 4, I got it for free (back when they did that) and I realised how boring sims 4 is. I couldn't afford packs, so I started to download mods and CC. I have the same amount of gameplay someone with all the packs does, but I have it for free. It's like EA and the sims team had left over items, CAS and gameplay and decided to sell it to us in a cash grab, rather than add it for free (or at least for less money- 4.99 is a lot especially in other countries with conversion rates). There is NOTHING to do in the BG- the CAS and BAB are bland. And whilst I think 3 worlds is enough for base game, I think they should have added different 'vibes' in each world- for example, they should add simple things like bowling, or cinemas, or malls. In my saves, Oasis springs is this small desert town that relies on road side attractions and has trailer parks- why is it so difficult to make a functioning shop in BG? Simple things like lot traits (like a shop trait) would add so much more variety to the game. Sorry, I'm rambling, but hopefully you get my point. I'd gladly drop my Mods list (it is 40GB, though lol).
I feel like lilsimsie did a good job of addressing that in a way. She knows she's got content that most people either can't afford or can't run on their computer. It sucks and the youtubers seem to know.
I mean, idk, most of them started when the sims 4 seemed to go somewhere, i feel most of them just do it now for the money but have some negative opinions about the game, i personally would think it time to time

It’s not something you can easily add like a new fridge, you have to change how the entire worlds-system works and that’s just something they’re not going to pump money into this late into the game
@Sandy Ibrahim there’s a lot that goes into designing and building a world, even tho I do agree that the sims 4 is often, lacking. You have to think of a theme and environment, the build style, the families that’ll live there, maybe even some lore about said families, you have to build the houses, both homes for those families, starter homes and public lots. Deciding all of this already takes a lot of time and planning -> money. And then making it takes even longer because everything that is done needs to be checked and tested to see if the builds can be run on low end computers and do all the adjustments that come with that. Their worlds do often look lacking when it comes to builds but that serves a purpose. And the environment of the world always looks gorgeous in game, that takes a lot of time and money as well
Yes, it’s true. Not everyone can buy all this stuff. I mean I have “only” 3 packs and I already spent like around 75€ and that’s a lot for a game like this (and I only bought them in sale haha)
@Sam or.. we could have both good game play, good build items, and CAS in one pack. But because it's EA, the content either has to be half baked, or non existent so they can release it at a later date. Theres no reason that they can't please all players with a singular pack. Last time i checked, each "pack type" has it's own development team, so by creating these kits, they're only further dividing their staff, which may have consequences in larger future packs, as it's dividing the staff that could help build a better pack. Also, it's EA, if we ever do get a farming pack, it's still probably going to have one sad malfunctioning chicken coop
@Sam yeah my views on the kits are that Throwback Fit seems neat, but kinda wish it had more, Bust the Dust could have been a thing in Laundry Day and Country Kitchen would've been either in Cool Kitchen Stuff or a possible bigger country expansion.
I'm still annoyed that "Get to Work" is still the same price (when there are no sales) as when it was released... and it was released YEARS AND YEARS ago.
So that every pack is the same price, you could say the same thing for Get Together, Outdoor Retreat, Spa Day, etc. You could also say the same for the base game itself, considering that was released in 2014 and hasn't dropped in price.
@@kyledunn8205 sure, they're all the same price and so is the base game, but other game franchises drop their new release prices usually six months to a year after it's first release. it's outdated gameplay/content at that point. but ea is notorious for trying to get as much money out of their customers as possible, which is why people are upset about this kind of stuff. they don't seem to actually care about the players, when you get down to it.
@@bunnie5394 I can't think of any digital franchises that drop their game prices, maybe when a sequel game is released sure, but it literally never happens in a games regular life cycle outside of the obvious temporary offers

The sims 4 has been out for near six years already, everyones already speculating the sims 5 will get annouced soon enough or come out in one to two years. Dont get me wrong im glad they didnt introduce micro transaction hell sooner but this benefits nobody except the younger or really new incoming players who will have that choice. And even then we'll all probably move onto sims 5 not to soon after that if its any good at least. edit to add: something thats also likely to happen is modders hopping on this and making really similar and probably better content to these "kits" theres dozens of beautiful kitchen mods out there and even more clothes, and simmers have been adding little game play features like vacuuming into the game for years.
After spending a lot of money on the sims I wish they would just fix the games bugs and issues BEFORE adding more paid DLC to the game, adding MORE bugs and issues :( I love the sims 4 but this is a big problem on EA's part. Also, it's going to spend MORE in places like the UK and Australia...in the UK $4.99 is about £3.00 here...but they're selling it to us for £4.99...and it's worse in places like Australia where the price for these TINY packs could be around $10. EA only care about how much money is going to their pockets. I calculated that for the UK ALL of the packs plus the new kits (this is NOT including the base game price which I believe is around £40?) costs £706.60...seriously? This makes MOBILE games crammed with micro-transactions look good and I hate that this is true
To be fair, when do they not want money? It’s getting old. We shouldn’t have to pay extra money for things that could be free. But I love the sims 4. I know I don’t have to buy it,but it would be nice if they would make things people like.

I wonder if there is actually an issue with linking a sim to another object that moves around the world (neighborhood) in the sims 4 , and thats why horses and cars arent something they can do, because otherwise it seems like those are both things that would be easy to do if they could do it before.
Kinda what she mentioned at the beginning but all this does is further alienate a community who can't afford all the packs for a £600+ game. Using the gallery as a person who doesn't have quite a few stuff packs and the last game pack is already hard enough; now it's going to be even harder. Genuinely so disappointed; and I didn't think things could get any worse after the star wars pack but ea keep consistently lowering the bar 🙃🙃🙃 Edit: also agree with all the comments ea please fix the gallery filters: if I filter out my first pet stuff I don't want to see builds that use that pack.
Also the gallery filters don't work well filtering only things that use the packs you own. When you try to filter that, it shows you stuff that uses ALL your packs at the same time along with others. So frustrating
Yeah... That's the problem. People can say "Oh, why not just support them? It's not a big deal, right?" all they want. The thing is, there are people who have the kind of money to just throw it at every greedy company and not care, then there are probably a lot more people who get conflicted about it, to whom it is kind of a lot and who will have to save on other things to afford it, but they might or might not still buy what they want. And then there are those of us who don't even have the money to buy ridiculously expensive things like that. But oh well, EA, Apple and lots of other companies still make enough money off all their richer costumers. So they don't care if some people can't afford their stuff. It sucks. I hate it. But pro tip: at least in Germany it is quite easy to get the keys for packs cheaper on ebay, if you don't mind not knowing where it comes from. It always worked for me, just take popular offers.
i think it could’ve been SO FUN if there were in-game challenges (such as to reach to the top of your career or get married or like the plant-sim/easter egg challenge) and these mini kit pack things would be free rewards. then it could be part of the game and would incentivize players to play!

I’d love a Cosmetology/Beauty Salon/Barber Shoppe kit/s with hair, nail and makeup options, CAS and build items, maybe even a game or stuff pack. Kits would be good for things like adding Astrology/Horoscopes back to CAS or a tattoo kit, so on.
@@acehasaface948 We shouldn’t be entitled to have anything in base game lmao and I’m not excusing anything, I’m just not expecting to be given everything for free or for cheap by a company who peddles a nearly 7 year old base game.
As someone who can only afford basegame and who only builds, EA pushing out content like that feels very isolating. I don't mind when Sims creators on TH-cam use them all, I still enjoy watching them use it. But overall it really feels like EA doesn't care at ALL about their clients. I probably wouldn't mind it if basegame had better and more flexible items. All build items are so odd and don't really match. There's not one normal bed with basic swatches. Not asking for much lmao
I agree! I feel like before adding new buyable stuff, they should add more normal things to the base game. They really need to give more thought about other customers as well.
Honestly kits should be small free packs. I feel like that would be a bit more appealing for younger players or players who can’t afford to pay a bunch of money for all these packs.
Yes I am a young player who only has 2 packs and these look so fun and would probably make me play this game more than I do but I would much rather buy a game pack (or other packs) than spend money on these packs
@Ruby Fiddes cc means custom content so if sims has cc it is downloaded content that adds to your game and a cc creator is who makes it 🙃 hope this helps
I feel like only lilsimsie gets excited about these... Kits are going to be fun for the first few days and then I'm going to get bored again due to the lack of gameplay. Not worth the money, the clothes aren't that nice imo (there are far better cc stuff) and vacuums bring pretty much nothing to the game other then a moodlet. But my sims still have no personalities and their traits don't change the fact that I control absolutely everything that goes on in their life 🤷♀️
She’s not the only TH-cam who’s excited about these packs. Most of us are excited about them but we’re also on the fence because we know this isn’t how games work. We obviously want more content from the sims and are happy when we see it, we’re just not happy with the execution.
@@Jinglesbellez well she agrees with the idea of small kits and is only bothered by the pricing. I'm bothered by kits altogether, these are just a poor excuse for the lacking packs. We keep settling for less instead of boycotting these useless "additions"

I'm so scared that soon nobody will be able to use the gallery to the fullest! It's already hard to find builds that happen to only use the packs you own, but these little nickel and dime packs are going to kill the Gallery!
yeah I agree. or they could have just added these kit items with other stuff to create an actual entire pack. still could have been paid but now they just want more money for less content
I’m betting that they are making a bedroom kit because of the bunk bed update. They’ll probably release a bedroom kit soon after that includes one or two new bunk bed options, like how they added a ladder to base game right before eco lifestyle
Your so right! You are the “one” showing us the things we might not be able to buy but also I appreciate it because you make me realize I don’t need half this stuff
She said that and I immediately paused the video and shouted "Kayla, no!" As a completionist, I have most packs. Thankfully not most bought on full price, but still. I have the equivalent of 3 months of student debt in the sims. Lol
Kits cost 30 reais in Brazil. Stuff packs are 40 reais, game packs are 80 reais and expansions are 120 reais. In the US, a kit costs 5 dollars; 4 kits cost 20 dollars, same as a game pack. Well, here in Brazil, 4 kits cost the same as an expansion. This is getting ridiculous.
@@dede-fz1uk No they aren't. 20 dollars is 110 reais, not 120. Plus, they need to know their market. Minimum wage in Brazil is 5 reais an hour (0,88 dollars) and most of our population live on a minimum wage. Brazilians have to work 6 hours for a kit. Americans have to work less than an hour for a kit (actually about 40 minutes), as their minimum wage is 7,25. Plus, as previously said, a kit in the US costs 50% a stuff pack; in Brazil, a kit costs 75% of a stuff pack.
Idk, somehow with it being so bite-sized, I almost feel like I'm more likely to just download CC that might be similar instead? Even though I don't generally do that. This just seems like microtransactions for the Sims despite it not being a mobile game. :/
Problem with that is EA has an anti-piracy system in place inside the game. So, even if we crack it, there’s that one thing that would just make it unplayable.
@@ninefoxstar From what I was told (via a SimsTuber), there is an anti-piracy measure that creates a censor pixel block that grows and grows until it covers the entire screen.

One thing that really frustrates me is that they don’t consider how people outside of America when pricing these things. All Sims content is almost twice as expensive in Australia.

I think I’d like the kit idea more if there was a “build your own kit” kinda thing. For example say you want the cas from snowy escape and the gameplay for get famous.
They could‘ve just added the vacuums to the basegame...just like the few clothing pieces. Like..5 dollars?! For 2 Animations?!
Literally the FREE heyharrie Country collection CC is ten thousand times better and has way more things than whatever EA is doing
I hate them!!! Someone needs to stage a coup.
Ea makes some good games but holy moly are they greedy. For example, ea will make a new fifa game every year that’s pretty much the last one with a few changes for 60 dollars, while hello games (which has a studio of one room) that manages to make beautiful and game changing updates for free in no mans sky
You’re telling me they recolored the stone and are selling it to us instead of just letting us have it?!
What sucks is that in Australia, Sims games are even more expensive. So for example, expansion packs are $50 and game packs are $30. These Kits are going to be $8. It’s just absurd!
It's the same for New Zealand! It makes everything so expensive!
Canada here, and we have the same issue with it being even more expensive than the US. I have only ever bought a single pack full price (Vampires) because I had just bought the game and didn't know that they go on sale constantly. I love pointing out to US simmers that we pay ~$50 for an expansion and watching their heads explode with the idea of it being that much.
in Brazil it costs 29 reais for a kit. lol. so damn expensive
This annoys me, as someone who wants more clutter like cups and glasses etc for kitchen shelves, makeup palettes to go on dressers, and for the sinks to fit things like the toothbrushes and soap on them... I just dont think these are necessary when there's so much more things they could do

If it is 5 euro then it would be 6.05 dollar
its £4.99 in englnd and the currencys are worth different amounts s it doesn't make sense
ea really just live in an American bubble. it's so infuriating how ignorant they can be to other countries (hating on the corporation, not players etc)
It’s like having to buy a skeleton for your soul and then all of the organs and limbs separately in order to become a whole person.
well said
Yup, totally agree.
I'd gladly drop my Mods list (it is 40GB, though lol).
its the same for all ea games unfortunately
ea is becoming (has been?) apple. everything is sold separately 😂

It’s not something you can easily add like a new fridge, you have to change how the entire worlds-system works and that’s just something they’re not going to pump money into this late into the game
I’d love a world where you can place your own lots. (I think they used to do this in sims 3 or 2)
@Sandy Ibrahim there’s a lot that goes into designing and building a world, even tho I do agree that the sims 4 is often, lacking.
The Country Kitchen Kit would work with a farm pack...
Edit: thank u so much for the likes 😂
@Sam or.. we could have both good game play, good build items, and CAS in one pack.
@Sam oh i'm sorry, i misinterpreted you and thought it was defending ea's decisions lol, I apologise..

I think they need to start doing what MMORPGs have done for ages and start bundling old packs into the base game. edit to add: something thats also likely to happen is modders hopping on this and making really similar and probably better content to these "kits" theres dozens of beautiful kitchen mods out there and even more clothes, and simmers have been adding little game play features like vacuuming into the game for years.
I can’t even afford the packs I want so this feels like a nightmare...

It would also encourage those demographics to consider buying bigger packs, as a sort of little appetizer
Honestly kits should come with like 40+ new cas, and build items, then I’d consider purchasing one
At this point it’s just micro transactions with a “fun” name... :(
I feel like they prepare us for Sims 5 online micro transactions...
Why would anyone buy this just get cc
@@lovelyismydog I play on console, so CC is not an option....
@@IsaStracciatella yep. Bleh. Between this and having to constantly update Sims 4 mods, I usually just play the older entries in the series.
I feel like they also paid the cc creators to teach them how to make stuff
@Ruby Fiddes cc means custom content so if sims has cc it is downloaded content that adds to your game and a cc creator is who makes it 🙃 hope this helps
@Ruby Fiddes no problem :) glad to help
Not to mention her and other EA game changers pretty much gets these packs for free to review, but people like us have to keep paying for small add-ons like this. It’s honestly really frustrating. They’re playing us for fools at this point.
I'm so scared that soon nobody will be able to use the gallery to the fullest! It's already hard to find builds that happen to only use the packs you own, but these little nickel and dime packs are going to kill the Gallery!
“They have matching islands of course”, so we are pretending that island living counter issue never happened....
That was a subtle dig at them for the island living screw up
what was that issue?
@@lilred6753 the counters didn't match
17:17 "I guess it's the same as this one but recolored to be better"
Kayla are you hearing yourself? 🤦♂️
yeah literally why would i pay 5 dollars for a recolour of a wallpaper we ALREADY HAVE
It’s ridiculous.
does anyone else feel like ea is now making people pay for things that would normally end up in updates?
yeah I agree. or they could have just added these kit items with other stuff to create an actual entire pack. still could have been paid but now they just want more money for less content
When did an update came with a whole new kitchen set?
I’m betting that they are making a bedroom kit because of the bunk bed update. They’ll probably release a bedroom kit soon after that includes one or two new bunk bed options, like how they added a ladder to base game right before eco lifestyle
Your so right! You are the “one” showing us the things we might not be able to buy but also I appreciate it because you make me realize I don’t need half this stuff
Yeah no. This stuff seems like something that should be free (especially the cleaning pack)
Kayla: "the whole game costs $600+"
Me: "this is why I buy packs when they go on sale"
Same!!
Same! I bought all my packs when they were on sale 💀
Yep, sales are the only way to buy them for a reasonable-ish price.
She said that and I immediately paused the video and shouted "Kayla, no!" As a completionist, I have most packs. Thankfully not most bought on full price, but still. I have the equivalent of 3 months of student debt in the sims. Lol
YUp I didn't get the main game till it was free on Origin then only got packs when they were at least %50 off
Kits cost 30 reais in Brazil.
Woahh
aiai o brasil...
You still have to remember that the prices are all the same but just in different currency...
@@prismaticqueenx Oh sorry I didn't know that... I live in Germany and have EUR so one Kit costs 5€ and that isn't expensive at all😅
Idk, somehow with it being so bite-sized, I almost feel like I'm more likely to just download CC that might be similar instead? Even though I don't generally do that. This just seems like microtransactions for the Sims despite it not being a mobile game. :/
In conclusion: EA deserves nothing and y'all should crack the game and all dlcs to get them for free
Problem with that is EA has an anti-piracy system in place inside the game. So, even if we crack it, there’s that one thing that would just make it unplayable.
@@KittyFAN13 really? how does it triggered the anti crack system? ive never come across it
@@ninefoxstar From what I was told (via a SimsTuber), there is an anti-piracy measure that creates a censor pixel block that grows and grows until it covers the entire screen. If I remember correctly, it’s triggered by having your sim take a bath or shower. It could be removed or it was in an older game/older version of Sims 4.
@@KittyFAN13 I've got to say that i have the game installed. I got it with a cracked installer for free (I don't usually farther piracy, I always pay for the artists and coders work btw) and the programer who cracked it uploads updates with every new pack and it works perfectcly
@@caber0662 Oh! That’s great! I’m glad that someone found a way around it.
