- This is a short orchestral composition I wrote in Fl Studio which I thought kind of sounded like Studio Ghibli/Zelda BOTW music a little bit. It uses the Berlin Series as well as the Hammersmith Piano! Enjoy!

That sounds exactly like the moment where you're heading back home after getting rejected, and as much as you're mad and kicking rocks, you see a kid petting a dog, or two squirrels chasing each other. And then you sigh and think that maybe it's not that bad after all
Wow that matches the song perfectly! Thank you so much!
I love the melody at 0:53
very sweet sounding and intuitive.
Thanks so much! I also really like the melody!
i can’t explain how much i love this composition. it has such a narrative to it. the dichotomy between the beginning and that sorta triumphant ending is just so interesting. really hopes this hits the algorithm so more people can see it!
Thank you so much! I really tried to tell a story here, so I’m glad you like it!

What is the approach you give to harmony? Do you try to find the chords most used for types of "feelings" by analising other similar songs or you do it simply by ear/instinct?
Very nice combination of melody/chords!
Thank you so much! When it comes to music, I typically write the melody first and begin to look for chords afterwards! For harmony it’s a combination of by ear and some theory as I often like the sound of secondary dominants which I used several times in this piece as it gives it an emotional vibe. I also like to change keys relatively frequently in my songs and to do this smoothly, I transition to the next key by introducing chords with the next key’s accidentals. When it comes to jazz harmony though, I typically just do things by ear. Also I pay serious attention to what octaves each of the notes of the chord are in with inversions and voicings since these can also affect the flow of the harmony. I’m not sure if that helped, but if you have questions, let me know!
@@Ghidi00Oh, It helped for sure, thank you very much! I've always been really interested in music theory but never really got into the process of applying that knowledge into the making of a piece/song. I imagine it changes for every person, but it's always interesting to see different approaches to making músic!
No problem! Let me know if you have any more questions, I always respond to comments!
nice
Thanks!
