The Plot measures 40' × 60' and it's 3 side open with 20' road on 3 sides. What will be the cost for 10 houses, 50 houses and 100 houses in a village? can the village people be trained to provide their own labor and reduce the cost further? The number I got earlier from someone at IIT was that 290 sq ft room costs about 2 lacs. This means psf is about Rs. 700. Why so much difference? can you work out a scheme with the banks where rural folks can pay over 30 years with a guarantee from the government and initial payments for the firs 5 years. In the meantime we can tarin these people to improve their skills and incomes to pay for it over 30 years. 290 sft is simply a joke to perpetuate poverty.
