We just returned from a 2 week trip to Japan. We watched this video many times before our trip and we used nearly all of these phrases. We used some of them many times per day. It made all the difference for our trip and the Japanese people we met were really happy that we made a small effort to learn these basic expressions. Thank you SO MUCH for sharing this with our family.

@@Zayous I’m in Japan right now & a lot of people speak English, like 90% so far in Tokyo and Kyoto, I’m heading to Osaka in a few days so can’t tell you about that area just yet.
I also have been using Google translate and it helps a lot. You can definitely get by with no Japanese but it’s helpful and polite to know some words.

I have a question about shashin o onegaishimas- does it mean "can I take a picture?" or "can you take a picture of me?" ? Thank you for these very helpful videos.

      Great question🥰
      【shashin o onegaishimas】= please take a picture of me.
If you wanna ask “Can I take a picture?”, you can say 【shashin iidesuka? 】😎👍👍👍

Great video! I Just came back from Japan and found this video very helpful too! I used the phrase in Japanese to ask do you have medium size and it was really helpful!! I was wondering how do say small size in Japanese? :)
