We just returned from a 2 week trip to Japan. We watched this video many times before our trip and we used nearly all of these phrases. We used some of them many times per day. It made all the difference for our trip and the Japanese people we met were really happy that we made a small effort to learn these basic expressions. @@Zayous I’m in Japan right now & a lot of people speak English, like 90% so far in Tokyo and Kyoto, I’m heading to Osaka in a few days so can’t tell you about that area just yet. I also have been using Google translate and it helps a lot. You can definitely get by with no Japanese but it’s helpful and polite to know some words.
