Jim did a beautiful job. You can tell he's a perfectionist. My Senior Telemaster is about 25 years old and a little ragged but still flies beautifully. I converted it to electric a few years back.
This airplane needs flaps like bacon needs salt. Seriously though, the set-up in this video would make a most excellent trainer. With a qualified instructor, you are virtually guaranteed success. And, they can be fun, too. Or, a real workhorse. Can't say enough about them. The Telemasters are legendary, of course.
I was inspired by this video and when the opportunity presented itself I purchased a Sr Telemaster just like Jim's and I found myself flying it just like he did sublimely. I flew the plane for over an hour on one battery. Oh what fun!! I since have built floats for mine and intend to fly it at Joe Nall on floats.
Hi Dick: Long time, no see. I haven't flown very much lately, got interested in the shooting sports. My friend Jim bought the Telemaster and I monitored the build, not knowing he was actually building it for me. He knew I've been wanting a Telemaster for years, so he surprised me with this awesome Senior Telemaster. How's that for a friend? It's sitting here in my hobby/computer room and I've never flown it - except when I've been with Jim. I've only been flying a few years, but Jim has been in the hobby for 60 years!!
Hey buddy go fly it if you haven't.... They are a blast to fly. I just finished building floats for mine and I can't wait to get their bottoms wet. Fly Fly Fly
Hey Jim,nice Telemaster.Do you know your wing load?If not, what is the flying weight?I just finished a deluxe Telemaster that came out at 21.3 ounce wing load, that has not been flown yet,and was wondering if mine will float like yours.Thanks.Ed
I love the Senior Telemaster. I need to make a video of mine.
Very nice
