Hobby-Lobby Senior Telemaster ARF Maiden September 25, 2018

Senior Telemaster maiden flight. Eight feet wingspan. 20cc Evolution gas engine. The servos for the rudder and elevator have been moved to the rear. Wheels have been changed to Dubro 8".
Location is Ash Creek Park in Azle, TX.

They still make this kit although another company purchased the rights to it.
Carolina Custom Kits is the name of the company.
Don't know why Hobby Lobby quit selling stuff like this. I took a trip in there this past weekend looking for R/C airplanes, rockets and helicopters. They had NONE and only a few models as well.
This came out in 1967 from what I have been told.

I bought an Enya SS45BB Ring from my LHS for 30 bucks still with the original box, paperwork. Inside it, from 1989, was an invoice. The engine was purchased at a Hobby Lobby that no longer exists located about an hour and a half from where I live now.

If it is a gas engine, then why did it have a glow igniter on it?

I am using an OS Max glow plug instead of a spark plug and ignition. It lets me eliminate the ingnition and sage weight. It is still gas but it is on a glow plug.

8' wing, it is a kadet senior arf with modifications.

Not at all. It has a 20cc gas engine up front. Servos were moved to the tail to help with the balance and get rid of the wood pusy rods. Oversize tires also contribute to weight balance. There is no extra weight added to the plane for balance. Only the battery position is used to tweak the balance.
