I may be 4 years late, but with steely determination, and huge quantities of coffee, I have managed to track down and acquire almost all of the alloy upgrades. Damn it man ... you are costing me a fortune! :D Great build and video :)
Thank you for a nice video from you as always! The tuning and upgrade videos you make are always clear, imformative and to the point! Do the aluminum front and rear axels add so much weight, so it lowers the cars point of gravity, so much you feel the improvement when you drive? It clearly improve the looks of the car, the joy of ownership are certainly better, it get lot of admiration I am sure! Cheers.
i just stumbled on this video again, cant believe how time goes by. I can only dream of buying this before because we were poor, But now im working i can buy this expensive hobby of ours. LOL though not this kit only CC01. lol
Hallo Matteo, weißt du wo man noch die Alu Achs/Diffgehäuse herbekommt? Die scheinen Bei GPM und 3Racing nicht mehr verfügbar zu sein. Gibt es da noch mehr Adressen? Vielen Dank
awh, Matteo, that is better than any beautiful swiss watch, you have inspired me to build one too! my wife is sure to come and thank you, she will be that 350LB. woman, at your door, with the baseball bat ! LMAO!
Thanks the front bumper is from GPM Racing (discontinued), and the steering links are Tamiya HopHups. www.rcmart.com/tamiya-54206-cr01-turnbuckle-tierod-discountined-p-30446.html
Dear I loved ur videos it very intersted and I decided to buy RC CC-01 becuase of that What kind of CC-01 u recommend for begginer? How many gear has in its basic engine? What is the maximum speed it could reach? is it 4WD all time? upgrades and tuning could includes gear and engine? what are different bodies fit with this chasses? I had visited etamiya and found Ford, Toyota & Jeep
Looks Amazing I just hope you got a Real Servo by Now becouse That Little Futaba looks Pathetic. If you Dont, Get a SAVOX "SA-1283SG" it will match Perfectly with the Aluminum Axle.
hi buddy I have the cr01 and i'm having a few problems, when i'm crawling the body twists to the left and the tires rub on the guard, this happens driving on flat road as well, how would I set my suspension up so it will flex but wont get torque twist
Nathan Price The twist comes from the torque of the drive shaft, and this is normal in this type of cars. To reduce this effect Tamiya installed stabilizers, do you have mounted these in your car? These exist in different hardness.
AusSonic I use the Brushless crawler combo from LRP: www.stormerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/seekpart.pl?pn=LRP80628 But I think it's discontinued. Another good combo that I run in another vehicle is this one: www.teamnovak.com/products/esc/1832_timbuk2_esc/index.html Or a good choice is also a brushed system with a crawler esc, this is cheaper and less sensitive against water.
Luisa Molinié Because of the center of gravity. With the short springs the chassis its more down and also the center of gravity. This gives a better handling in steep sideways.
As first the short Barrel Spring set: Tamiya Item 54085, as second motor and esc, depends on your budget, the best is a brushless crawler system. As next better Tires, and steel punisher shafts.
dude, you really need to lose the music in your videos and do some talking about these mods. I mean everything looks great but this " shitty electrified elevator music has to go. I'm sure im not the only one thinking this Otherwise, keep the good work!

Plenty of shiny metal there. What would you say was the final weight of this vehicle after all the new parts were installed?
Ohh, I don't know it, it's long time ago. But I think its about 4-5 kg complete.

Nice tuning (Y)
+DazMonkey Rc Thank you!
That looks so nice :) do you order parts on internet or do you buy them in your local hobby shop?
Sometimes in the Internet, sometimes in the local shop, depends on the availability. A good address in the web: www.asiatees.com
Looks Amazing I just hope you got a Real Servo by Now becouse That Little Futaba looks Pathetic. If you Dont, Get a SAVOX "SA-1283SG" it will match Perfectly with the Aluminum Axle.
the white springs on the edges, is that just floating like that or got bar inside?
The springs have no bar inside. It gives more capabilities in the movement of the spring.
Love it!
Can i ask the alum parts for cr01 are still available or not
hi buddy I have the cr01 and i'm having a few problems, when i'm crawling the body twists to the left and the tires rub on the guard, this happens driving on flat road as well, how would I set my suspension up so it will flex but wont get torque twist

Matteo can you tell me what motor & ESC are you using in the CR01 please ?
AusSonic I use the Brushless crawler combo from LRP: www.stormerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/seekpart.pl?pn=LRP80628

MONEY. Dig it!!
Why is the short barrel spring better than the stock ones?
Luisa Molinié Because of the center of gravity. With the short springs the chassis its more down and also the center of gravity. This gives a better handling in steep sideways.
just bought a CR-01 what upgrade do you recommand first?
As first the short Barrel Spring set: Tamiya Item 54085,
as second motor and esc, depends on your budget, the best is a brushless crawler system.
