It was said that David has been a little under the weather....He just got back from the Philippines. I'm sure it took a tole on his voice and he has said that just talking can be hard on ones voice. He did 20 interviews in one day there. It doesn't matter if he is under the weather, he still goes on and never disappoints anyone.He did it when he was sick on the American Idol tour and now.He is an amazing performer and certainly an amazing singer. Oh well, haters will be haters. Every singer makes mistakes. And the best that we listeners could do is to appreciate music and not focus on the mistakes and all. And above all, he could make a song an entire mistake and still cheer people up with his mere presence. :) He can sing. He loves doing it. And people like his sound. Those are the things that really matter.

As he said on 1:35 sorry for my bad voice.on watch?v=bZGQlADHYkg he was sick. I am huge fan of Charice and David. In same time 3 years ago in 2007 I discovered both of them on YT and since then I follow them. I hope that we will hear more live duets from them.
This was an important show for David and he was sick. So sad for his voice. You can't be 100% all the time. He was in Indiana the night before singing at a tree lighting outside in the cold too. And having to travel from Asia then to Indiana then back to LA without rest must be really tiring. But David never complains though, which is what is great about him--no excuses. Charice has a big voice and can sing loud but her tone is just ok.
@jovani5576 David was most definitely in tuned his voice just cracked due a cold. He even said in rehearsal he couldn't sick well that day. Over all he's one heck of a talent. Charice is a nice singer as well/
If there is any reason his voice broke it's probably because it is raised a full tone from the key where David performs it himself. Best I can figure out, it was recorded in F, David performed it in Eb for his whole Christmas tour, and here it is back the full tone higher in F. My guess is the raised key is for Charice.

I will admit his cold got the better of his voice but all in all he was in tune and still sung beautifully. David is one of the best LIVE male singer out there today. Charice was great as well but David is magical.

David did not miss a note, he's a little sick and yes his voice cracked, in saying that his singing sick live is still better then most singing live period. Did anyone catch the AMA's. that'll tell you right there.
It's like a batter hitting a home run after fouling off a couple of pitches. The bottom line is that the final product is a home run. That's what took place here. David is the "Babe Ruth" of singers.

you know, there'd be singers who would refuse to sing because they're sick and sometimes they choose to do a lipsync. I see more of talent, professionalism and guts here over pitch problems.

I was trying to explain that him missing some notes was not just about being nervous, but other reasons as well. We as fans can get overly protective of him.
