What I mean when I said it hits differently is because the meaning of a song is subjective. Him coming out adds meaning to the song for me. Again, it's how you look at it.

This song should have been a huge hit. I still love it. Still catchy. David's 3rd album, The Other Side Of Down, didn't seem to be promoted well...and it's too bad because it is a really good one with lots of well-written, well-performed, beautiful and catchy songs. Still love that album. Never got the sales or promotion it deserved
...but that hasn't stopped me from listening to it all these years later. :) Can't wait to hear what David does next, musically~there is no other singer out there like him, that can do what he does so well.
