What about the backer plate, OR
is that solid steel on the back of the B550 TOMAHAWK enough??
the stock amd one is fine
Thank you, i see on 2:06 in that the backerplate is what the screws and spacers go into. Thought that was the case, was factoring few mm of the circuit material
Great video.
Thanks!
Nice vid..worrying it may hit the ram
Where do you put the excess fan cable? Is it safe to wrap it around the base of the heatsink or will that get hot?
Should be fine
Спасибо ! всё предельно понятно.
For some reason my motherboards whole don’t fit the screws?

Same here!! Idk what to do or what the problem is 😭
I don’t have anything to screw it into? Like my back plate doesn’t have pieces to screw the front plates to

Hey! Is it possible to install this cooler in a Motherboard called A320 A pro MAX by msi? Was really thinking to buy one of these but im not sure if it will fit correctly.
yes should be fine
I purchased the Ak620 cooler, but when I attach the backplate to the main board, is it compatible with the backplate used by other air coolers? Can I go ahead and install the original backplate without removing the motherboard? The cooler I used was an rc410.
It should
What if the AMD4 backplate is not there anymore, due to the new backplate was for my last cooler and is different.
you need to get one somehow
Not sure what I did wrong but there’s a bit of clearance between the bracket and cooler and I can’t screw it in :/

It fits inside a Gigabyte B650 AORUS ELITE AX ATX AM5 Motherboard? or its too big?
should be fine on there from what i can tell
Thank you!
You're welcome!
My bracket doesn't protrude out of the board for the plastic riser screws to go on the board. No side bar about this issue or possible solution.. 😢

Hey, do you know where I can buy the spacers from? I removed mine and cannot find them anymore. Without a spacer I cannot mount the cooler on top of my cpu! :(
i would ask deepcool support most likely they will send them out to you
I have mine sag a little bit. I am worried if i need to tighten the screw a little bit more.
Btw, I am using i5-12600k, LGA1700 motherboard
yeah check that everything is secure
why doesn't the DeepCool put an extra AM4 backplate in the packaging. I'm upgrading the cpu cooler that came with the used pc that i bought. and it doesn't have the backplate. so now i have to order one from amazon US and wait for international shipping which will take atleast 14 days for delivery. this sucks so bad
Why would they add a bracket when 99% of people already have one that comes with the motherboard, deepcool can’t be held responsible for the motherboard not being supplied with the mounting
@@mikesunboxing understandable. but sucks for the 1% like me. now i have to wait 14 days to get a backplate.
Thanks, subscribed. I got a question. My ambiance is 35 degree Celsius. After installing this I'm getting 55-60 on idle. And 70-75 while gaming. Is it too much or normal?
sounds a little high but you didn't mention what CPU you have or chassis
@@mikesunboxing I'm using Cooler Master H500M case, 3700x ryzen cpu 1660 ti graphics card, 32 gb c16, 3600 hz ram.
@@iamsurajsharma 55-60C makes sense if your ambient is 35C also 70-75 is perfectly fun under load, just make sure it doesn’t go over 85C :)
@@kingfu987 Thanks for the advice. It's running great 👍.
I installed this cooler on my 7900x cpu and im getting high idle temps around 50°c, is this normal or should i repeat the installation process to see if i screwed up somewhere?
could be mounting pressure, but 7000 series is nuts for wattage and thermals unless limited in the bios to 65w and / or undervolted or curve optimiser negative 20 or 30
Can you damage the processor if you tighten the screws too much?
it is possible i guess for LGA sockets, AM4 would be okay
Hello sir I'm from India
I'm using AMD 3700 x with stock cooler
My GPU in 2060
Cabinet deepcool matterex 55 tempad glass
Now while playing my cpu and GPU both reaching 80+ tem after side panel glass open tem gets to 70+ what should I do i was thinking to buy deepcool AIO but i saw ur vedio now I'm confused which should i buy ak 620 or AIO
if you have the room for it the 620 as great and never a chance of pump failure or leaks, but water cooling will run a little cooler in the long run
Will it fit with a ram having 4.4 cm clearance?
not sure what you mean there sorry
@@mikesunboxing I was that will deepcool ak620 cpu cooler fit on msi mag b550 tomahawk with rams having 4.4 cm of height without the need to set the front fan a little bit up
@@hamzagamer552 Did you try this in the end? The corsair vengeance I'm looking at has a clearence of 4.5cm / 45mm
if we loosen the middle screw at 6:54 will the mounting pressure become more or less ?
it won't make any difference
i have that same motherboard :D
Do you know if there is any difference in installing this on AM5?
should be pretty similar, i had the unit just before the AM5 launch so didn't have specific instructions or fitting guide
does it have enough clearance for g.skill trident z5 series RAMs?
not sure sorry
I have four sticks of Corsair Vengeance ram, the short ones. Will this cooler clear them fine or will I have to remove a stick or two?
Also very nice video, I learn mostly by observation so the amount of detail is really helpful (:
i think you will be fine there with the low profile ram, depending on your needs and budget maybe also consider the AK400?
thanks that is very kind of you
@@mikesunboxing thought i'd give you a lil update. Got the 620, bit of a stinker getting it on but i managed lol
Doesn't interfere with the ram, was worth it (:
@@MisterDemonTC Glad you're happy with it :-) Thanks for the update
Will this same installation guide work for AMA 5.?
Yes it will be the same process just a little easier as the backplate is fixed in AM5
Thanks so much
I'm struggling with getting mine into my motherboard, I'm using a B660 plus WiFi d4 motherboard and for some reason brackets are to low for the cpu cooler to be installed? (I'm hoping I didn't damage the cpu or motherboard because at one point I put a lot of pressure to try and get it on)

I just needed a lga 1700 mount which I've asked the manufacturer to send just for an update. For a first time builder I could have damaged my motherboard trying to get the other mount on without realising but luckily I stopped myself from putting to much pressure on it
@@andrewpaul6364 glad to hear they are sending you one, i was confused but then realised the ak400 comes with LGA1700 mount but the AK620 at present doesn't
Thanks you.
Always welcome
One of my mounting screws are broken. It just doesnt click in
Might need to contact support or check your mounting hardware
How do you cable manage at the end?

Hi there ! Is it compatible with asus b650 plus motherboard
yes it is
Can larger CPU coolers actually break or damage the motherboard?
Not on normal use maybe if in transit and bashed about
👍👍👍👍
Thanks for watching :-)
I’ve spent at least an hour just trying to line up the 2 screws to mount the heat sink, anyone have tips?
