Sincere? What? The exaggeration (like "put in a frame on the wall") of happiness and awe is the opposite of sincere. Seems more like they are putting on a show to fool the viewer. I know how they speak about us Westerners especially non-Muslims behind closed doors. It's an act. If you watch the reactions closely, it's quite clear they feel disgust at the food and the translation also makes it clear they are insulting the way we cook and eat between the lines (subtext). This is not respectful, it's an act. Don't get me wrong, there are Pakistanis who honestly try to make an effort and understand our (european) culture, but the Pakistanis who came here since 2015...EVERYONE knows what's going on. In the refugee camps, they would insult the European food (some even threw their plates on the ground or at other people...yeah, this is how hungry 'refugees' behave) and demand they cook something from Pakistan. Though most act nice and submissive when they want something (money, mattress, documents, ...) but as soon as they are out of the room or you turn your back on them, they insult you in their langauage, thinking you don't understand them. This is how they behave here, how they actually think about Western culture. I wonder what the purpose of videos like these is. Nobody can guarantee that they are actually trying to get to know our culture, but then this isn't even authentic, because it's not a native cooking these dishes.

My mother would start the roast and then it was my job for the rest of the cooking to check, baste, and make sure nothing was burned. She cooked it on the stove, though, not in the oven.
I really appreciate the people you have chosen to be our Tryers. They're wonderful, compelling people. Loved Ruqaiya's happy food dance, that's clearly a universal human thing lol. In Canada, Pot Roast is very common too. Some times, if you need to feed more or just want a little more food, we will make dumplings as well. It is a bread (biscuit) that cooks right on top of the Pot Roast. It is very good, and very easy to make.
In Australia 1960s my Mum cooked huge meals for our family of 8. Dumplings in a pot roast or stew were beautiful to soak up the gravy. Golden syrup dumplings were lovely too
Sunday dinner, when I was a boy, was either fried chicken/mashed potatoes OR Pot Roast with potatoes/carrots and green beans. My Aunts and my Mother were Southern Country cooks.
Oh my we love pot roast, so easy to make! Part of the chuck, slow-braised... In America we call this "comfort food"... Usually eaten during the winter! I'm so glad you all enjoyed it, I love to watch your reactions!! 😂❤ May God bless you all 🙏❤
Loved Raffique's moment of honesty, " dont know where to buy it, so he and wife cant cook it and they cant afford the restaurant and thanking god hes able to try it in studio". This definitely hit stomach in a good way.
My mother used to make this in an oven roasting bag. She would put the potatoes, carrots, onions, green beans and peppers in the bag too. Everything was seasoned to perfection and we ate it with a side of cast iron skillet corn bread. It was buttery but unsweetened. Ohhh the memories!
Haha- make mine 2 ways ( different in liquid used - blend soups tomato base or a beef gravy type) Carrots, parsnip, onions layer a bottom of an oblong pot. Usually place a brown ( seared ) sirloin tip roast next. Surround with more vegies ( potato, onion, garlic, parsnip, *mushrooms ( sometimes 4 me ), then cover with liquid ( either a cream of mushroom, tomato and cream of celery soup blend made with half the water OR a beef liquid with Au Jus, broth, * gravy, Worcestershire - kind of thing ), add salt - pepper- dash Cayenne ( Chef John ) - onion n garlic powder, dash msg, Cook uncovered at 250 for most of the day adding soup when needed. Later turn up heat 325 or more and add a good amount of quality frozen peas on top and continue to cook. Essentially reduce liquid some and somewhat brown exposed peas. Love it. Serve with salt n pepper, cold beverage and bread or dinner rolls with butter. Sometimes a side Ceasar salad works too.
My mother's secret addition to this dish was a pinch or two of instant coffee added to the braising liquid, then into the oven. It gives it a smoky flavor. You don't taste the coffee. Delicious!! I want some right now!❤❤❤
Growing up we thought of pot roast as just a Sunday dinner. Still mainly only cook it on Sunday but it's a great for anytime when the weather is cold and you need a meal that's more filling and substantial. Kudos to the chef who prepared this for them to enjoy. It looks perfectly done! Please show Ruqaiya how to make it for her hubby and kids. It's a great meal that can feed many.

I never liked it, but the rest of my family loved it growing up. However, the next day you can make roast beef sandwiches with the leftover meat and that I did love.
My mom made hers in a big cast iron skillet on the gas stove. When she had browned the meat and the pan was good and hot, in went the vegetables, seasonings and water and she turned the flame as low as possible and just let it slow simmer till the meat was falling apart. No oven, and I'm sure it didn't take four hours, maybe 2.
been watching these for quite some time and love these folks. i am lower class and our pot roast is never separated individually. meat, potatoes, onions, carrots, garlic(maybe), salt, pepper, water and butter. crock pot for 8 hours. PERFECTION!

So glad all of you were able to try one of my personal favorites. The joy expressed on your faces has brought a smile to my face and filled me with love.
We always added onions, but they never seemed to cook right. You really need to get them above simmering temperature to start cooking fully. So I get mine to where they are just translucent before putting in the rest of the stuff. Much better!
Ah...warms my heart to see them eating and completely enjoying a meal that's one of my favorites! I have had this so many times, but never get tired of it.

The beef is stewed... Which means it cooks with the vegetables and gravy... The longer you cook it, the more tender the meat gets. And it's always better than the next day... Most people eat this with a French bread or an Italian bread

*Ahh, pot roast. A true comfort food, and the scent whilst cooking is mouth watering. Chaudhaury, Rana, Tahir, Ruquaiya, it is interesting that you can take the same ingredients and prepare them differently and it tastes totally different, isn't it? Corned beef and cabbage has same basic ingredients as pot roast, but with different spices and different cooking methods, they taste totally different! Pot roast is also easy to eat for those with tooth problems! The slow, long cooking makes tough meat so soft! Have you seen electric slow cookers, sometimes called crock pots? Thyme is what gives that aroma that is so wonderful. When I cook pasta sauce or enchilada sauce, it is always in a slow cooker, for at least 8 hours. Put it on in the morning, and come dinnertime, it is ready! Thahir, I could certainly use an amulet for good health, as I've been having some problems lately, more than the chronic issues of the foot/wrist.*

To the lady------ It is the easiest dinner to cook. Use beef chuck roast and throw in your favorite vegetables in an iron pot with seasoning and a half cup of any red wine. Cover if you wish. Cook at 350 degrees for ABOUT four hours. Enjoy
This was a Sunday family tradition for much of the United States.....it's been awhile since we have made it. Usually I add PEPPERONCINI peppers, onion soup mix, and maybe some gravy ingredients to the pot as well. You should show them "crock pots". We almost ALL have them in the southern US. and we use these exclusively just about to cook this. It's easy peasy throw it all in in the morning and pull it out at dinner, even us men can do it. I have a feeling they would find Crock Pots super useful at home there. It as an easy way to make tougher cheaper cuts of meat very tender, and melt in your mouth.
My family loves Pot Roast meals on Sundays. We serve with bread (biscuits or rolls). Sometimes rice. It’s a family tradition. I hope beef chuck roast is available somewhere in their area so they can cook this and share with their families.
They all loved it we call it in Britain a roast dinner because we eat it on Sundays we also refer to it as a Sunday roast. My favourite has to be the sister she loved the meal and wanted to cook it for her husband and children. One of my favorites! I am so glad they liked it. I wish they could come and try our pot roast called Manhattan. Roast beef over white bread, mashed potatoes, and gravy. A very favorite dish here.
I think that's actually called beef stew... Which is different from pot roast because pot roast is a combination of the potatoes, onions, carrots and meat. Whereas beef stew is actually stewed beef with onions over mashed potatoes...
That's interesting, I've never heard of anything like that being called a Manhattan (and I live about an hour from NYC). May I ask what region of the country you live in? It does sound like something that would have been popular here in diners in the 1960s-70s-80s.

As wise as Tahir is, he is wrong, humans evolved by eating meat as it allowed the brain to develop, then when we invented fire and cooked meat, this made it easier to absorb and our brains grew and grew. We have meat to thank for our development past apes.
I'm glad they enjoyed the pot roast. It is a simple dish, but so filling and good. It's wonderful on a cold winter's day after working all day on the farm. I make it, but it's never as good as my mom's.
As all of them are enjoying this pot roast so much, I wish they were provided with the recipe and got to see a short video of how to prepare it. I’m sure some of them would want to make it themselves or have someone make it for them for a special occasion. This is pretty much how I learned to cook dishes from many countries: I was made to taste them, and was then kindly given the recipe and instructions. Now, depending on budget and availability of the ingredients, I make them myself. Pot roast isn’t very hard to make. Its most important ingredient is time. The same goes for many Indian and Pakistani dishes. I think especially the lady in this video would be very happy if she learned how to make many of the things she gets to try… and one of them, this pot roast. I’m even wondering if some of the things she tries, end up influencing her cooking to a certain degree. I remember when I was living in Southeast Asia as a child, the lady that helped in our household wasn’t familiar with Western cuisine. Over time, as she was teaching us her cooking, we taught her ours. One day her husband came to collect her after work and he thanked my mother for teaching her a dish: she’d prepared her own version of it for his family and they tremendously enjoyed it. I often thanked her over the years for teaching us her dishes and to this day I still make them.
The combination and acceptance of different cultures, the lifestyles, the food and the beliefs is the best chance we have of survival on this planet. We can learn so much from each other and grow together. Make the connection with your neighbour's, it will enrich your life.

I hope they get recipes when they want to recreate something at home! Wish we could see everyone's reaction, I bet it's so much fun for them to bring things home to the kids, family and friends. It's especially nice to have Chaudhary back while Gull Sher is on pilgrimage.
In Canada, Pot Roast is very common too. Some times, if you need to feed more or just want a little more food, we will make dumplings as well. It is a bread (biscuit) that cooks right on top of the Pot Roast. It is very good, and very easy to make.
Dumplings are my favorite part.
Yes, reminds me of my childhood!!! In Ohio.
In
Southeast N.C. my mom always put cornmeal dumplings in her pot roast it was amazing & my favorite too! I'm so glad they enjoyed it.
In Australia 1960s my Mum cooked huge meals for our family of 8. Dumplings in a pot roast or stew were beautiful to soak up the gravy.
Golden syrup dumplings were lovely too
@@krpurple2678 I had to look it up. Golden syrup dumplings sounds like the ultimate 'My mum loves me' food.
Sunday dinner, when I was a boy, was either fried chicken/mashed potatoes OR Pot Roast with potatoes/carrots and green beans. My Aunts and my Mother were Southern Country cooks.
The two best meals on the planet
Asif Sahib has really relaxed now. He's a great addition to the panel.
Oh my we love pot roast, so easy to make! Part of the chuck, slow-braised... In America we call this "comfort food"... Usually eaten during the winter! I'm so glad you all enjoyed it, I love to watch your reactions!! 😂❤ May God bless you all 🙏❤
Yummy. This is what is meant by "Home Cooking",simple but delicious.
Loved Raffique's moment of honesty, " dont know where to buy it, so he and wife cant cook it and they cant afford the restaurant and thanking god hes able to try it in studio". This definitely hit stomach in a good way.
These videos never fail. Mainly because of the people. We must protect these people at all costs.
My mother cooked her pot roast like that too.
Haha- make mine 2 ways ( different in liquid used - blend soups tomato base or a beef gravy type)
Carrots, parsnip, onions layer a bottom of an oblong pot. Usually place a brown ( seared ) sirloin tip roast next. Surround with more vegies ( potato, onion, garlic, parsnip, *mushrooms ( sometimes 4 me ), then cover with liquid ( either a cream of mushroom, tomato and cream of celery soup blend made with half the water OR a beef liquid with Au Jus, broth, * gravy, Worcestershire - kind of thing ), add salt - pepper- dash Cayenne ( Chef John ) - onion n garlic powder, dash msg,
Cook uncovered at 250 for most of the day adding soup when needed.
That sounds delicious.
My wife does it the same corn bread or biscuits .
My mother's secret addition to this dish was a pinch or two of instant coffee added to the braising liquid, then into the oven. It gives it a smoky flavor. You don't taste the coffee. Delicious!! I want some right now!❤❤❤
The best compliment was when she said she wanted to cook it for her family.
Such joy! I’m glad they get to enjoy dishes from other countries! What a delight! Dr Tahir you are such fun to listen to. Thanks for sharing
I find it so enjoyable to watch their hearts melt after they take the first bite of some delicious food.
At around 4:42 when he chuckled at the forkful of roast and vegetables, such a genuine chuckle. Loved this channel for years. Thank you for uploading. Love from the USA.
I learned something watching these video's as a southerner. These men are polite genuine people. The wars this world takes part in are purely governmental. The people would love each other if we got rid of the politicians.
Yummy!! That meal is sometimes,...we will say typically served with bread and butter, or rolls, or biscuits, (not cookies) 😁,...so that you have something to sop the gravy and juices up with! 👍🙂 Looked great!
i had to watch this video. For 43 years I have loved making it for my family and watch them smile while eating. Makes me feel warm inside.
I’m so glad the gentlemen and lady enjoyed their pot roast meal!! Pot roast is one of my favorite meals, and my grandmother God keep soul, made it masterfully, and her pot roast was one of my favorite meals she made while she was alive. ♥️♥️
What wonderful & honest people! I wish I lived among these honest people!
I've watched many of your videos, & I truly like these folks. I'd be proud to be their neighbor.
Notice how the woman wants to cook it for her husband & children - that is a normal, healthy, clear-thinking woman! Kudos to the woman who knows her duty & does it! Her family is her strength.
I've eaten pot roast many of times over
the years and it's very good and I'm glad
to see that they really liked and enjoyed it
Thank You for giving them another great
food for the first time to eat.😊
❤❤❤❤❤❤
These are so wonderful people. Lovely. :) bless them all for a long and healthy and happy life!
What a great way to start a Monday!
Totally agree. And now I want pot roast! 😂
I love all of these videos! As a cook for over 20 years, the one thing we all as people can appreciate the food from other cultures! I love making people happy thru food!
Everyone loves Pot Roast! Now I want to make one! 😂
Mr. Chaudhary, you or your wife could absolutely make this! It's an easy dish to prepare, it just takes several hours to cook.
@@annainspain5176 I think there are a lot of different ways to make it. I remember my mom making it in a crock pot over night on low.
been watching these for quite some time and love these folks. i am lower class and our pot roast is never separated individually. meat, potatoes, onions, carrots, garlic(maybe), salt, pepper, water and butter. crock pot for 8 hours. PERFECTION!
This is one of our most favorite dishes here at home. Ours is very similar to this, but we use onion and some other spices. Either way this dish is good regardless of the recipe.
I always enjoy the veggies as much as the meat after they cook in a roast. I just really noted that we have two Rana's. WOW I am really glad you added the Lady.
Maja atta ha jab app log ittna natural expression dete hoon. Applog bahut aage bhade aur dusro ko bhi khusiya de videos banake. Lots of love from India.
Y’all should write a cookbook of your favorite dishes.
Chaudrey really had the spirit!!!! He loved it as much as I do. It's so delicious. One of my favorite home cooked meals from childhood. We ate more simply back then. Now I like to try world cuisine as well as my traditional southern comfort food.
So glad everyone liked the pot roast, as it really is a delicious dish. I also hope the ones that want to make it themselves get the recipe!
These lovely people have captured my heart! I would love to cook for them and have them teach me their favorite dishes. May they all live blessed and happy lives.
The beef is stewed... Which means it cooks with the vegetables and gravy...
The longer you cook it, the more tender the meat gets. And it's always better than the next day...
Most people eat this with a French bread or an Italian bread
Instant subscribe here! One of my favorite meals and it was wonderful watching these wonderful people enjoy it for the first time! This made me very happy!
It's been a hot minute since I've made pot roast for dinner but watching this makes me want to for dinner today. Great video as always, much love from the states. ❤
Glad they like it, it’s a favorite of mine. Simple stuff, cooked low and slow and it is super delicious. I make it all the time in a crock pot, prepare it the night before, refrigerate the crock with the food in it, take it out and put it on low in the morning, come home at night to a delicious dinner. A good comfort food. In the winter, it can’t be beat.
I can't remember her name but I really like the new lady. I love her reactions and comments on the food. I'm glad she was added to the cast.
Her name is Ruqayyah.
Same
@@TribalPeopleTryOfficial We are glad to see her back! Will we be seeing any of the other ladies from Tribal Women Try? It's always good to hear the ladies' perspectives too!
I loved the mom saying she would like to cook it for her family. Moms are the same around the world. I wish I could tell her this is a favorite of moms who are very busy or need to prepare dinner early in the day. They make it because it is very easy prep and has healthy food groups in one dish. I think she would appreciate that.
You all are making me hungry for pot roast!
My mom used to make the best pot roast! She cooked the meat in a pressure cooker, making it so tender. ❤
Ruquaiya’s reaction was surprising. I so enjoy these videos. It is a shame they have been demonitized… shame on TH-cam 😡
Comfort food...that's what pot roast is...if I'm having a tough time, pot roast is my go to meal...I love they enjoyed this so much...
I would just like to say I have watch this channel for a couple of years now I’ve seen several come and go over time I absolutely love all of y’all willingness and sincerity to try things of other cultures with such enthusiasm this is how the entire world should be. May god bless you all and families
I found this channel recently and have watched several videos so far. This is the first time I'm seeing a woman. Thank you for including women!
So glad to see my guys doing well! God bless!!!
Pot roast is one of my all time favorite comfort foods. I love these peeps so much. I wish we could all sit down and share a meal. Food is a universal language! Thank you for what you do! When we draw closer to each other, the foolish divisions disappear.
These folks are so genuine it’s so fun to watch them enjoy foods they have never seen before
I enjoy this channel. They’re always gracious and thankful to all god supplies. The pot roast you’re serving right now is the American version. I do believe from cooking Chanel’s that English pot roast is different. Pot roast is one of my favorite dinners.
Maybe someone will gift them with crockpots, they could make a lot of the dishes we have seen on here with one. Especially the southern American dishes. Pot Roast is a perfect example of a great dish to make in the crockpot. Blessings to all, this channel makes me smile every time.
I love how you teach us some words in these videos (starting a small notebook so maybe I can remember :) ). Now I know potatoes are called Aalo "aaaloo". Dr. Tahir, we completely enjoy your medical advice. I enjoy the smiles, laughs, and kind comments from all the participants. Ya'll are a pleasure to watch.
This looks great, and I can imagine the flavors. I love the way the vegetables take on the flavor of the meat! Beef is very expensive for me, and I haven't been able to have it for a long time, but when I can I'm going to need to make a pot roast! Great video, as usual!
Chicken or pork make a fine roast too. They cook faster as well.
@@jefferywarburton2116 I love to use a slow cooker for meat, and love pork roasts too. However, my grocery budget covers hotdogs and marked down produce for the past year or two. Not complaining, just explaining.
@@loraalderson9478 I hear ya. It's not always easy.
@@loraalderson9478 were all finding it difficult to buy groceries since covid and the cost of living crisis roasts are more of a luxury these days. And considering i rarely go out and don't drink alcohol or anything. But i have a cat on a special diet his food is much more important. I may have something nice to eat for my birthday next week kindest regards from the uk xox
All of these lovely people are so sweet and genuine and I just LOVE them and their reactions.
I love pot roast with potatoes and carrots and onions so good love you guys God bless ❤❤❤🙏🙏🕊️
To the lady------ It is the easiest dinner to cook. Use beef chuck roast and throw in your favorite vegetables in an iron pot with seasoning and a half cup of any red wine. Cover if you wish. Cook at 350 degrees for ABOUT four hours. Enjoy
Mr. Rana, I always eat my pot roast with bread (roti) as well. It goes great with the gravy.
You know someone really likes and respects your countries food, when they want to learn how to cook it and feed it to their familys. Bless you all absolutely loved this show.
One of my favorites! I am so glad they liked it. I wish they could come and try our pot roast called Manhattan. Roast beef over white bread, mashed potatoes, and gravy. A very favorite dish here.
In the Midwest, we call that a beef combo. Same thing, meat, bread, mashed potatoes, and gravy. Simple, but so good!
@tedmartz444 , In the central states we call that dish a “hot beef sandwich.” Usually made with left over pot roast.
@@patriciamorgan6545 This was a thing during the '60s in Central Illinois. I have never heard it called that anywhere else. I have also heard it called a hot shot.
What sweethearts to have open minds about food they'd never heard of. And they loved it! They'll be amazed at how easy it is to make! Just loved their responses and comments throughout the video, along with the expressions on their faces.
Tahir and him cracking himself up and laughing at his own jokes makes me laugh every time. 🤣
I love these gentle people and their food reactions!! They are so appreciative.
Any kind of meat you like as well as veggies. Roast them all together. With your favorite spices. Little oil, little water. Cover with top , put in oven 425 for half hour. 300 for 2hours , Enjoy ! Easy. 😄🤩
This meal was a Sunday special that we ate after going to church. Mom would leave the meal in a heavy cast iron pot on a slow oven and it was done when we got home from church. The house smelled wonderful😃😃😃😃😃🙏🏻🧒🏻👨🏻💁🏻👧🏻👦🏻👦🏻
As wise as Tahir is, he is wrong, humans evolved by eating meat as it allowed the brain to develop, then when we invented fire and cooked meat, this made it easier to absorb and our brains grew and grew. We have meat to thank for our development past apes.
He’s usually wrong, rarely funny, and talks too much.
Lord bless these beautiful people! Love from America!
Pot roast is a inexpensive meal that most American families can afford on the weekends, when all the family is together. 🇺🇸
It used to be inexpensive. 😂
Pot roast is great for a cold day really helps warm me up plus the leftovers are even better in a day or two
I'm sure they could cook this in their homes using any meat. Goat or mutton would probably be tasty. Chicken would be too.
We put whole onions in as well
I'm glad they enjoyed the pot roast. It is a simple dish, but so filling and good. It's wonderful on a cold winter's day after working all day on the farm. I make it, but it's never as good as my mom's.
I haven't had a good homemade pot roast in years. This made me miss my Mom!
This is one of my favorite meals ever. I'm glad they could try it
and on the flipside of this particular coin, I'm now craving a spinach and potato curry with naan bread.
😋
I love to see people happy and eating! This is why I love to cook! They have so much gratitude! We could learn from them!!
Take out the word ‘roast’ and you’d REALLY have some kinda video 😂
This made me laugh too much.
@@davidkomen5283 😆
They understand that every meal is a blessing.
The combination and acceptance of different cultures, the lifestyles, the food and the beliefs is the best chance we have of survival on this planet. We can learn so much from each other and grow together. Make the connection with your neighbour's, it will enrich your life.
They all make me so very happy. I love them all💞
Mr. Chaudhary, as always...is SO sweet and grateful! I adore him!
