I'm a trans woman who used to have epilepsy (been seizure free for almost 20 years now!). Unfortunately, I didn't transition until age 29 (almost 33 now) mostly due to the fact that my gender journey had to be put on the backburner until I had my epilepsy dealt with.

I am so happy to hear that your seizures have been controlled for almost 20 years now! This month I reached my 20th anniversary of having my seizures controlled and no longer losing consciousness. I identify as genderfluid and I can empathize with the challenges of dealing with gender dysphoria and epilepsy. I am not receiving any treatment, but I had a bilateral mastectomy and as hard as it has been to deal with cancer, having the surgery has created some euphoria knowing I feel better within my body.
