You shouldn't mix the External and Inner Resistance things in the engine. Its not very obvious but they will cancel each other out. If you hover over the resistance stat at the bottom it tells you this. Also the compressor should be at the bottom with two of whatever you choose stacked above it. It multiplies anything above it, not below.
@@avery1248 dunno, I found it weird two. Probably made to encourage you to tune your mechs the environment they are going to fight in and provide an additional resource sink through minor refitting.
I like how you pulled out the manual to show that it's helpful in teaching basic mechanics with more detail... right up until you gave up trying to find what you were looking for lol
Man, thank you so much for showing how to maintain the initial saves! It was really painful to go through that repetitive steps each time. It takes quite a skill to develop not obvious saving system
I believe, right now, when upgrading the upper factory and ordering components, the increased production speed is not applied to older orders. (Not 100% sure if this is just visual, but if you take a look at the number of days it'll take for an order to finish, it will stay at 8 instead of decreasing after you upgrade the factory.) So you may want to undo any orders you make before upgrading the factory, and order the production you want afterwards.
I swear to god I will NEVER understand why so many vids have ambience music turned so loud you can barely make out what the streamer is saying. Why not turn it off altogether? Is it so hard to understand that in a tutorial video the voice explaining things has to be the #1 priority? That said, nice video, thanks for the useful information :)
I have no idea how, or why this was recommended to me. Looks like an interesting game though. I think the game is a little bit too loud, there were times the music or the sound effects made it hard to hear your voice.
Has anything changed significantly in the last six months to make any of this advice not good? or have you gained any experience with the game that has changed your mind about some of the advice? Like I've seen some stuff about not mixing external/internal heat exchanging
Question: I saw another video that said if you combine both External Resistance and Internal Resistance modules in an engine, then you don't get any resistance, so you should just use one or the other, with two Resistance Multiplier modules. Thoughts?
It's more that you can only have one kind of resistance so it doesn't make sense to use both as one type will be completely wasted. You can even see this when he builds the engine. He starts with pretty high internal resistance but when he adds the components for external resistance, his external resistance not only stays at zero but his internal resistance drops to only 5. He made his internal resistance components much less effective by trying to do both.
5 minutes into this video, I realized 30 minutes from now I still won't know if I'm going to enjoy this game or not, I'll just have spent time studying to try out a game. Think I'm going to take a pass on this one but Good video.

why there is inner and external resistances if you cant mix them? is there another setup besides 4 resistances and 2 multiplier?

On the steam forum, there's a guide that says DO NOT have both external & internal resistance. Either one or the other, but NOT both.
that was meant to say shouldn't instead of should. I have edited it now
@@Vagabond_Etranger
is this still true? only one viable setup per internal / external config?

lol yeah. I have had a chance to read the manual a few times and better understand things. Thanks for stopping by!

You really need to mix the game audio in at a much lower volume so its not drowning you out.
Agreed, good content but audio mix is not great. Voice is more important than bgm
1.0 just released and I got it, heard about it randomly... about to install it, but saw your video... thanks
This is exactly the type of video I was looking for. Thank you. :)

I like your video. I just wish the game music/sounds were turned down so I could hear you better at times. Good Vid.
Thanks for doing this!

thanks without your video i would not have been able to try this one, as i don't have 4 weeks spare time of reading to understand wtf is going on.
this is like the real life version of the novel I am reading,"Mech Touch"
This game gives kind of a Duskers vibe
i want to like this game but everything is so confusing. i couldnt start first mission. thanks for the tutorial, it was very helpful
👏😊
Very helpful

Hmm... Ok thanks
thanks bro
The reactor build is wrong. By mixing and matching you lost your entire resistance.
You should try cogmind. A fun mechish game.

Just pirate and play it for a while and then buy it if you like it.
this game still confuses me
STOP TALKING ABOUT WHAT YOU WILL DO. JUST DO IT.
Even with everything you said and all that explaining this game looks super confusing 😢
explain what you find confusing. and ill try to explain
