For me, nothing says vintage Christmas like the big C7 colored lights on the tree. I remember as a child those lights would warm up the tree and the scent of pine would be enhanced. My favorite Christmas memory.
That’s a perfect display! I have two rooms in the house to display all my vintage Christmas decorations. I’m a bigger fan than my wife. 😂 I have about 700 Shiny Brite and other vintage glass ornaments. Just recently started collecting blow molds, ceramics, etc.

Just watched your tour again.. 🤩 I've seen many xmas home tours on websites, blogs & on TH-cam... but I realised yours was the 1st that I genuinely wished I was there in person to enjoy the lovely, homely atmosphere your decorations & lights created.. & your adorable little dog running home, what a cutie.. Love all the xmas trees & fairy lights, especially all the silver trees (I'm definitely coveting the blow molds, especially the reindeers, & the 2 silver, pencil trees in your dining area, ooh, & the silver tree you had last yr where the aluminium tree is.. ☺️.. & the big coloured lights on the tree in your livingroom window.. we had similar lights when I was a little kid..).. Aw.. & the vintage aluminium tree & lightwheel in the middle is in the perfect spot.. & the vintage pictures, decs, ceramic trees & blow molds (which sadly we don't get in the UK), it all came together beautifully. Your display made me feel very nostalgic & wishing it was xmas now, so I could get my own decorations up... It also made me think of my mum, who would of LOVED your decorations too (& your dog).. She especially adored loads & loads of sparkly fairy lights, & when I was a kid, often left strings of coloured fairy lights up for months after xmas in our livingroom (It wasn't common to hang up lights in those days except at xmas.)... Anyhow guys, thanks for sharing your lovely decorations... 😁 Would love to see you do a Halloween home tour in October.. @@scottdayvault The effort you've made REALLY shows.. 🤗 Which is why I think you'd have a great take on Halloween decor too... & I can envision an array of fantastic Halloween trees in your home, either using branches/twigs (possibly spray painted in gold, black, white, or ...?!) & decorated with loads of lights & decorations, or even using xmas trees decorated (not somet we really see in the UK but I've seen some fantastic Halloween themed xmas trees decorated online in home tours).. Honestly, I REALLY think you'd have a great eye for vintage/retro/traditional style Halloween decor.... so please consider it... 🙏🏽🤗 I've realised while I LOVE Xmas decorating, that Halloween really is my favourite time to decorate now, as it's SO much fun! Between 30 to 50 or so kids come Trick or Treating at my door each yr, & they really appreciate the efforts I make just decorating my front door & tiny enclosed porch & the lights I strung up last yr went down a storm.. Love the trees try a real Tree at Dillon's and decorated with LED Lights red orange green blue and white silver tinsel strings Ornaments Red Orange Green and Gold the 1st big red ornament has mini Glitter trees and the last red one has Gold Glitter Stars with a green ribbon and a Color Changing star on top.

I found the male and female deer in early October at two different Cracker Barrel’s. I think I paid $29.99 for each of them. The mini candle was purchased at Big Lots. I was there last week and they had 2 or 3 left at 50% off. You might get lucky if you have one in your area! Happy New Year!
My mom still has all of our old Christmas ornaments from when I was a child. Even the old bubble lights. .
