I have abh original norvina and I like the mattes and shimmers, even tho the shimmers are a little bit on the buttery creamy side instead of sparkly, but they are perfect for everyday/matural lookd ❤
@@stormofapril thanks for sharing that, recently I started to use shimmers like that as a base for toppers, I started to mix and match them, especially warm and cool tones!
Oh, my favourites are my Dior quints in the old formula, PMG Motherships and a Milani Luminoso, a stashed, that my friend gifted me when I used up mine. Mine was in the old packaging, this one is the even older! 🤣
@@StrangeQuack oh, these are soooo good.I tried Dior once when my friend let me!!!After application I didn't understand what it was all about (especially after PMG), but when I got outside,I got it!!!!By the way,PMG!How is it your pallette doing?still as good as new?
@@the-Artup yeah, the old formula just melted into the lid and gives such a sophisticated sheen! The easiest looks, perfect for quick application. I have several of the old megas (still fabulous!) and 5 Motherships, the oldest from 2018 Bronze Seduction, that one had problems with the metallic shades from the start, but I could make it work. The other shades are still stunning, super blendable mattes and the special shades sill hold up excellent! Just got Midnight Sun out of the stash, it's perfect for Autumn.
@@StrangeQuack I think you just made the the best Ad for Dior)I have Mothership 3, I always wanted it because of the color story. For a very long time it was out of stock, but then it was available and I snatched it because later it was out of stock again. The palette was amazing !But recently I feel as if my special shades were getting drier, mattes were still ok ...I got mine I believe in 2020-2021 so I was wondering if that is ok?
@@the-Artup oh, the Subversive. I don't have that one, too cool toned for me. I had two baked shades getting drier, but that's not a problem for me. Just use a sticky base, I use up a cheap eyeshadow stick as base. Somehow that one doesn't really set, so alone it's unusable, but as a thin base it prevents fallout and holds the special shades fabulously! Maybe you have something similar in your stash? Only the old Dior formula! The poured and baked shades, the current formula is, in my opinion, not worth the price. Btw did you try the Lancome Hypnose palettes? Lisa Eldridge is the creative director and the eyeshadows are stunning! Creamy mattes and satins and sophisticated metallics and shimmers. I got 2 on super sales (roundabout 20-25€) as they are somehow totally overlooked. So I would rather recommend these over the new Dior.
I don't use liquid makeup past it's time, too risky, but powder... Forever! Still have very old eyeshadows and blushes. I give them a spray of makeup disinfection a few times a year and they will be used up. If the formula changes I toss them, but so far most did hold up very well. I don't buy "clean" makeup, tho. Can't have stuff going bad on me before the expiration date and risk an infection.
@@StrangeQuack thanks for sharing that!I am also steering away from clean beauty because not only is the shelf life longer, but I feel like it expires even sooner....and thanks for sharing the tip with alcohol before, It actually worked)
I saw your video and thought it was amazing! With a bit more reach, it could engage even more viewers. If you're interested, I'd be happy to chat in a meeting to offer some help
I don’t even care if it’s past “expiration” As long as it doesn’t smell, look or function badly I will use it. Those older products had preservatives and back then it wasn’t demonized. I feel more selective with newer products because of the whole “clean” movement that has removed all the preservatives from their products. I know this stuff will actually expire sooner so I am VERY selective about what comes into my collection. I’m convinced makeup companies want to scare us with expiration dates so we will buy more to replace it.
What are your older but favorite makeup products?
And for the lip colour, it reminds me of Nabla Matte pleasure in the shadd Coffee Nude, I recommend you seeing swatches!

To think that 2020 is old… some older makeup was my dream cause I didn’t have any money or couldn’t order them to my country 😅 haha

Yeah, clean beauty can be tricky, I got Saie highlighter 4 months ago, and it is already bad.....
