Glad they are putting the Federal Building to good use. Hope they are able to expand their exhibits. Back in 1972 while attending San Diego Senior High School across the street, (That’s how it was known at the time and when the school had its original buildings before most of the buildings got torn down to upgrade for earthquake safety) ) our P.E. class would walk over to the Federal Building to play badminton. Played some mean badminton back in the day.
What a varied group of exhibits! I loved Star Trek reruns when I was a kid. Trouble was it always came on TV at dinner time, so occasionally my mom would let me watch while we ate. Interesting that you have a personal connection to the building, with your Dad. That building looks so big...hope the museum is a success.
In the Summer of '14 I was given a quickie tour of SD from Rancho (skin your) P, thru the Comic Con (?) area and out to Point Loma. Was fun to see the costumed characters walking the streets and sidewalks. It's nice the museum has rotating exhibits. Hope public support continues. Thanks for another great video. And I'll take Betty and Veronica, too!
I went to L.A. Comic Con this past weekend, all three days. I have never been before and I loved it. I made up my own costume (OC) too! I will check out this museum in San Diego. Thanks for the tip
Hadn't heard about this exhibit! You're absolutely right though... Looks like loads of space to grow into. The Pac-Man exhibit looks awesome and is that Labyrinth costumes I spy?
I'm not sure if those were from Labrynith, it has been so long since I've seen it! That was one negative from the museum, a lot of stuff wasn't labeled.
Kinda sad there weren't more people there opening week. There certainly is a lot of room to grow. Perhaps they should show exclusive past clips of shows and trailers in the basement movie room or even have creators of comics do certain talks
I imagine they'll have more events there as time goes on. I was surprised how few people were there too, but I'm not sure how many people know that it has opened and it really doesn't have that one centerpiece exhibit to wow people yet.
@@SidetrackAdventures not yet anyway for the center piece. There has to be some beloved piece at a previous convention or maybe a whole exhibit from items at the very first one. Really anything comic book related item could be showcased
THANK YOU SO MUCH. A MUST VISIT!!!!

That's really cool. The building really has a crazy history. It's been used for so many different things over the years.

Yes, the building is huge. There is so much they can do with it.
