We stopped at the same Raceway in Palatka. That was our first SAG stop of the day doing the route east to west. There was a group of 10 of us. I’m sure we passed you at some point. I’m actually wondering if you were the group we saw stopped at the Circle K now that I see your video. Lol
Hey Doug, that had to be us, because we spotted nobody on course heading the other direction. Yankeetown must have been a bit desolate by the time you arrived?
@@GravelCyclist nice! Thanks! I am considering doing the "official" ride in August. We have a place in St Augustine so I will have a nice bed and shower when I am done. 😂
Wow, that’s one helluva ride, awesome job. I thoroughly enjoyed every second. I honestly don’t know how all of you finished, you should be proud of that one!
Great ride. Back in 92 I did the old cross Florida ride from coco to pine island. It was 165 miles on pavement only. That was difficult enough, can't imagine 200 miles with some on gravel. You guys are animals.
You kooks were packed very light. Did you make it to motels, or did you just ride straight through?? We spent 2 nights in motels on our much slower paced ride last year. Watching this video made me wish I did the ride again this year.
@@cujomtb250 Thank you, this was a shared effort. Could not have done it without my Gainesville friends in the video. We all rode very well together, took our turns, and so on. Good stuff.
What date did you do this? I just rode the Saint Augustine to Palatka trail for the first time since setting up here last week. Looking for some decent gravel trails.
Incredible. Thank you for videoing this.
Legend! I'm doing it this year, hope to see you there!
what an epic adventure and to be able to film the whole thing too well done man well done
Thank you Gravel Pack!
Nice to meet you at the start.

What's the percentage of gravel vs road on this route?
Guessing somewhere about 65%?

That looks fun enough to do again.
What was the total climbing?
Not a ton, close to 2,500 feet. Mostly a pretty flat course, you would need to head further north in NorFLA to find more expansive hills, etc.

AWESOME! A Ride to Remember. You RULES! Cheers from Portugal

Almost non-stop, three store breaks, straight through. See towards the end of the video, you'll see my total ride time, and total moving time.
@@GravelCyclist you're a beast!

You people are animals! That was badass! Love those parts of Florida. Highly recommend Wekiwa Springs for pure crystal clear water.
Great stuff 👍 have you or anyone else posted a gpx of the route, I would enjoy doing this with the wife

Did you suffer any hand numbness since you change from bike to bike 200 plus miles and my hands would be dead
No hand numbness, and I don't wear gloves either, unless it is very cold.
