    A lot of people nit picked James but that was because he was a free spirit, did things his way and didn’t give a grasp. Thats what I loved about James. His individuality and his genuine heart.

      The National Guard gave me a leave of absence to work as a security contractor in Afghanistan. People always asked me what it was like. @@jfk767none4 Wow I really appreciate you willing to answer as some people get weird about it. That's pretty good money for sure but I think as sure as you do that you earned every penny and should've been more. Could I ask you a couple questions if you don't mind?.... Are you former military? (Thank you for your service if yes) and when in country where would you stay? Seems it would be really dangerous being in country and not on a base so I was curious. Also were you security for a company doing work there? And did you run into any trouble with the people there during your time? If you don't want to answer any of these nosey questions no worries brotha. But I do appreciate letting me know what you guys get. Thanks 🍻

    • @jfk767none4
      @jfk767none4 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@cwatson42785 like I said, I was in the National Guard at the time. I had a few years active duty Army before I went into the reserves and then the guard. I was probably the worst paid security contractor in country and in fact when I finished my contract I was the director of security for our program and I was paid less than the gate guards at dyncorp's other programs. When I started we were dyncorp's only firm fixed price contract and the program manager has so screwed things up our program was $16 million in the red.
      We didn't have any real serious incidents. One of our perimeter guards got shot in one incident and we had two riots targeting our compound but no injuries came from it. We also had an armed standoff with another security detail but again, nothing serious came of it. After an airport run there was a serious bombing outside one of the embassies and some of my Afghan detail, former Afghan Special Forces soldiers wanted to go help out so we went. One of my guys was a SF medic and he rendered aid to a dozen or so wounded Afghans. When he ran out of supplies we left as there were hundreds of first responders on the ground by then.

In that time frame I was working as contract Security Officer for Homeland security. I first talked with James shortly after He returned from Iraq. He encouraged me after I got Injured In 2008 worked with K-9 EDT for 3 years and got took out by a 23 feet stairwell. I remember when 2003 Iraq Kicked off someone had actually convinced W that Iraq would pay for itself with it oil reserves I hope whomever that was got fired.

    I recently bought a new shotgun and thought of James as I was setting it up and taking the first few shots with it. I realized it had been a really long time since I checked out his videos. They're also trained in disaster response and recovery procedures. Training equipment is sophisticated and cutting-edge. I watched and listened to James often. I was attracted to Jame's personality, heart, humor, and knowledge and the fact of how well I could relate to the man. The being misunderstood and judged, mostly by people less principled and honest than yourself. I can handle UPFRONT - to your face people, such as myself, rather than the backstabbing chicken-chits who deny deny deny when confronted. Jame's style speaks for itself, The love and respect from the people who did know him, from his friends speaks volumes. I listened to Sootch's words honoring his friend Yeager, his words "THAT WAS JUST JAMES" says it all. America cannot afford to lose more men the caliber of James Yeager
