JonathanCarlin Maybe babies manifest many powers when they are younger, and they start using a few more than others because they fit their personalities more. The ones they don't really use "atrophy" like unused muscles. Like what if Violet had 5 different baby powers, but used invisibility and force fields more because those are what fit her in those moments, she gravitated towards using those because she was shy and wanted to hide, so the ones she didn't use weakened and she eventually lost them. It is like how often, kids are ambidextrous but then they gravitate towards one hand and eventually can't write with the other anymore. And maybe the portalling is just intangibility or just vibrating so fast he goes through walls, like the Flash.
I believe Jack-Jack has fewer powers than you think. Edna says that Jack-Jack is a polymorph, "Poly-" means many, and "morph" coming from the greek "morphē" means "form" while coming from "Metamorphosis" means "to change." All in all, this roughly translates to "many changing forms" and I believe this is Jack-Jack's primary ability. To change his body to suit his needs, a shapeshifter in a way. I don't think "demon baby," "fire baby," "steel baby," "giant baby," etc. are all separate powers, I believe these all stem from a single solitary power, the greatest power, the power to change.
Cecilio Mendoza the fact is you know what he meant and you just tried to act smart but that’s making you seem dumber for not noticing or blatantly saying it to try and act smart even though you know the fact it isn’t that just for recognition good job 👍
Cecilio Mendoza actually yes. Omnifarious shapeshifting, also known as “perfect shapeshifting” is a power that lets you change your genome down to the molecular level. If jack jack had this form of shapeshifting he could give himself whatever power he wanted
Check out the deleted scenes. Jack jack has even more powers. Water form, tiny form, mist form, emp burst, and super speed. For a grand total of 26 powers. That's if you count these from the delete scenes 😁
Me and my wife have our own theory like that. We believe that the kids powers do most definitely come from their parents. Dash, as a speedster, has super strong legs and durability, much like this dad has a super strong upperbody and durability. Violent is more like her mom, with the ability to bend light passively, such as invisiblity, or actively, such as a forcefield. Elasticagirl can bend or flex her own body. Jack Jack has a perfect blend of these both. He has the ability to rearrange his entire molecular structure to anything he wants, and thanks to his inherited strengh from his dad, this allows him to bend his molecules into other ways, such as fire, lazer eyes, etc.
I thought it was to copie powers from supers he has met. The family just doesn't know he has met supers because they had to hide their identity. Also one power could be to shape shift into any from or material (even fire?)
I believe Edna is a super, and her power is youth. She stays young and looks the same for like, 20 years. From the wedding of Bob and Hellen to Incredibles 2!!!
Didn't Edna say that Jack-Jack is something of a special case because he is a Polymorph? This could mean he has the potential to keep ALL of his powers and even gain more.
Yeah, but that doesn't make a good story. If the writers did that, maybe they would incorporate some kind of limit, such as "He has too much power and its killing him." Would make a pretty good premise for a spinoff involving older JakJak.
Fun theory: Dash is quick and has blonde hair because bob still wants to be a super and live life fast so when dash starts to show signs of powers, they are powers of speed like the emotion of bob at the time. Vi has darker hair like Ellen because when Vi starts to show powers, the emotion of the family is hiding powers, hence her invisibility.
Violet’s name has a double meaning: the first is that she can control ultraviolet light, but the second is relating to her personality. A shrinking violet refers to an exaggeratedly shy individual, much like Violet’s personality at the beginning of the first movie
I feel like Jack of all trades might mean his metamorphosis Will be his final powers (fire, metal, rubber, Demon, duplicating, giant, turning into others, etc) And the other ones like teleportation, laser eyes and telekinesis might go away
I would maybe cut demon out of the mix, but that is just me, since i think his power would potentially be Morphing, as you said, but more so i think it may be the ability to change what material his body is made out of, so that covers the fire, steel, rubber and maybe even his phasing through stuff thing, then by extension it lets him change his appearance aswell as a finer version of that.
sergio vela you know what they say jack of all trades master of none it could be that even with jack jack’s power having immense power but he’d never be able to use it as well as someone with say the giant power on it’s own.
Falloutlover1011 That's what i was thinking I was thinking that he can use all his powers but at a limited way so if he can fly he can do it easily but it can be a bit of a struggle or something.
I agree that Jack-Jack’s duplication powers will be one of his future powers because his name is Jack-Jack. Basically it’s Jack two times, meaning more than one.
Actually the "ex machina" moments do make sense, because a babies first and only instinct is to survive and therefor, change to meet the situation. Jack-Jack is the survivor of the family, something he would have to be when you have pishy/loud big brother and sister. I believe that demon Jack-Jack is the most likely power to reocure, as the angry toddler and scrappy brother is something they could use for him later on (if they make further movies)
@@simplii_rotting9381 I think it's listed as its own because J said it's not likely to be something he can control or would even list if telling someone what his powers were, instead being more of something that just, happens. Of course this doesn't mean it's *not* the same power (plenty of existing characters of all kinds use their powers in unpredictable and often frightening ways when emotional), this is just why I believe it's #8 here instead of being part of #6.
*JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK JACK*
I like this idea. "Hello, I'm Eve L. Badguy." "Hi! I'm Jack Jack *starts cloning* Jack Jack Jack Jack..." with a new Jack-Jack popping up with every "jack" after the second.
I feel Jack Jack will become a shapeshifter. We can already see from Incredibles 2 before the Raccoon fight he wanted to be like his mom and be a hero. As well as having 2 other siblings who he might look up to, I can see it fitting in like "wanting to be someone else", and thus shapeshifting is the most probably power.
I think that Jack Jack's power is simply the power to change his form. The majority of his powers have something to do with changing his body, for example demon baby, steel baby, rubber baby, the "super biting" (it would be obvious if he always had super strong teeth and/or jaw strength), the metamorhpinsm, and his super strength. Some of the different teleporting techniques could be argued to be Jack Jack changing his form into small particles and rearranging them to pass through different objects. It would also make sense with both the supposed genetics of super powers and the personality based origin of the powers. Both the Incredible parents have powers that modify their physical makeup; Bob has super strength, which is a change in the physical makeup of a human and Helen can change her entire body's shape in seconds. As for personality, you said the youngest sibling is thought to be manipulative, as in manipulating his shape and form?
Edna explicitly says that JJ is a polymorph, so I think all the powers that involve transforming will all stay no matter what (Fire, Steel, Demon, Chewing-Gum form, Giant, Imitation). Laser Eyes seems to be the power he has the most control off already, so it will surely also stay, alongside Strenght, Super Durability and Flight/Levitation to fit the quartet of the Superman reference.
Since his name is Jack Jack I'm thinking something along the lines of shapeshifting. It's a very versatile ability, plus since he does seem like the type to me who enjoys outsmarting others, shapeshifting would be the right (annoying) fit for that.
How about the power of adapting. Like Darwin from x-men first class. He does seemingly get random spurts of powers we never see again that are usually just used to fix the situation hes in.
I can argue the idea that Jack-jack only has 5 major powers (certain powers fall into one of 5 major categories). - Inter-dimensional travel - Teleportation: disappearing from one place and reappearing in another using inter-dimensional shortcuts - Portal jumping: shrinking the distance between dimensional gateways without having to disappear and reappear like teleportation - Dimension hopping: being able to travel to other dimensions - Molecular manipulation - Turning to metal: changing his own molecular structure - Turning to fire: changing his own molecular structure - Turning to slime/goo/gelatin: changing his own molecular structure - Growing: changing his own molecular size - Molecular mimicry: changing his own molecular design - Demon baby: changing his own molecular design - Duplication: replicating his own cells to make more of himself - Invulnerability: changing his own molecular structure - Super strength? Nope. Manipulating the molecular density of other objects - Molecular vibration: changing the speed in which his cells vibrate - Energy surge: changing the electrical magnitude of his cells, creating a surge of electricity to burst from his body - Gravitational manipulation - Levitation: creating a separate gravity field around himself - Telekinesis: creating a separate gravity field around targeted objects and being about to move them around - Wall crawling: creating a separate gravity field around himself - Laser vision - Mimicry: matching others’ behavior Boom. Inter-Dimensional Travel, Molecular Manipulation, Gravitational Manipulation, Laser Vision, and Mimicry. 5 major powers.
Awww Jon you sir will soon learn that real babies are able to turn themselves into jello and then become completely solid strong non bendy especially while trying to put him in a car seat! Babies are full of super powers and they can switch from jello to steal in one attempt to buckle them into something they really don’t want to do! Lol
Imagine if Jack Jack was able to use those powers to the extent of some characters in Marvel. Like how the metal in Colossus' body is as tough as Wolverine's claws, or if he can create a supernova like Human Torch, or if his Telekinesis is as good as Jean Grey's.
When you were talking about the names it reminded me about a conversation with my friend.... Me: You know, not only their personalities reflect their powers but also their names. Dash is really fast so he can dash around. When Violet turns invisible she turns ultraviolet. Then Jack-Jack is the jack of all trades. My friend: what about Bob and Helen ? Me: well... super strength is kinda a basic power and a lot of super heroes have it. Bob is kinda a basic name. As for Helen..... My friend: They just took a stretch on that one 😉
I’d say two forms with three powers each Mad Jack: demon, fire, laser eyes. Handsome Jack: face changing, duplication, teleportation. One form for combat, the other for espionage
"A child flew right over me and blasted a car with it's laser vision!" "I tried to run from it but it picked me up with it's mind powers and shook me like a dog", so I guess Jack Jack traveled to the Monsters Inc dimension :o
I'm the youngest child in my family and; 1. I'm definitely not social, I'm very introverted. 2. I'm not confident. I try to be, but that doesn't really work out. 3. I can be creative when it comes to certain things. 4. I think I'm fair good at problem solving, not sure if I actually am. 5. I guess I can be fairly manipulative at times. Am I just an outlier in the 'youngest siblings syndrome'?
Honestly there’s very little actual scientific evidence that suggests that birth order affects your personality in definable ways. While it does seem to make sense that it would most of the evidence is circumstantial at best. So no you’re not just an outlier, you’re a typical, complex human who can’t be defined by their birth order.
Jack Jack could still keep all those powers but they will only activate in any bad situation. He could be like Darwin from X Men who has the power to adapt to survive.
HOLY FUCK I WAS THINKING THE EXACT SAME THING. I DIDN'T EVEN SEE YOUR COMMENT YET AND I WAS SCROLLING DOWN AND SAW THIS AND FREAKED OUT. GREAT MINDS THINK ALIKE.
+Emma Brennan Darwin usually actually avoids the issue of being overpowered, since his power is entirely defensive. He adapts to survive anything, but there's no guarantee that the power he gains will be useful in the fight. The most obvious example from the comics, is when Darwin tried to stop a raging Hulk. He seemed like a good candidate, since he could survive anything Hulk might throw at him. However, it turns out his powers adapted in a different way. When he fought the Hulk, his body responded by teleporting him away from the fight. A very effective way to survive the Hulk, but not at all helpful in stopping him.
I'd say Violet is so named, not for anything to do with ultraviolet light, but because she is shy, "shy as a violet" as they say, and her powers reflect that.
I agree! Also her forcefields are violet coloured. I don't remember hearing anything about ultraviolet light in the movies. It's possible that her invisiblity works by shifting the spectrum of light that hits her past ultraviolet so it can go through her, then shifting it back to visible light (although that would increase her chance of getting cancer :( ). I can't think of a good way that ultraviolet light could be related to how forcefields might work though...
I think Jack Jack will have 3 powers: shapeshifting (demon baby, fire baby, water baby, gas baby, metal baby, size manipulation), interdimensional transportation (when he teleported to another dimension and was only heard), and electronic emission{when he creates lightning[maybe around him](which means maybe superspeed )}which comes from 3 traits:anger, curiosity, and happiness.
I agree, but I think it'd be cool if he has 3 main powers he uses because he some control over them but the rest he has no control over so he doesn't use them because they may put others in danger. However if they do make a jack-jack movie or something I'd like to see his powers being taken away at some point so he has to learn not to use any powers. But over time, adventures and experience learn to master them in unique, funny situations like him as a baby.
Do you think the famous saying of "Jack of all trades, master of none" applies to Jack, Jack?? Maybe he will keep most of his powers but will never be able to master all of them perfectly. ALSO Edna Mode seems to know how to study Supers more than anyone. She was very excited to babysit Jack Jack to study him for her creative inspiration. Maybe she knows more about how powers are developed than anyone else. I mean it's a science to know how to design and make costumes for supers.
I think he may keep all of his powers but their power will decrease alot because their powers are so insane and it would also fit the phrase as for at the end it is "Master of none".
He is usually very agreeable and has a great sense of humor. People with these traits are wonderful until they reach their limit, then Katie bar the door. I think you may be overlooking all the cute giggling and resilient use of his abilities.
I was thinking Jack-Jack would end up with the multiplying power as one of his actual powers when he gets older because his name is the same name twice (well, at least his nickname, his actual name is John Jackson.)
I think birth order effects your behaviour not because of you actually being born in a certain order but because how the PARENTS hand children as they become more experience raising children. The first born child; parents are new and unexperienced. Everything is a big deal and it is first for everything. Parents also tend to follow parenting trends and advice of others. The second child; everything is a lot more complicated you cannot give your full attention to either child because there are 2. parents tend to have more conviction in there own parenting style not everything is fresh and new so they are more willing for children to entertain themselves and be independent. The third child; often when parents decided this is there last child so they want to soak in every moment. They don't want to let go of their "last baby" so they tend to coddle that child a lot more trying to keep them little as long as possible. THIS is where the personality traits come from.
I think your quite right, but being the youngest child in my whole family I can`t quite agree, for example I`m definitely not a social person. I`m an introvert and hate having to interact with other people. on the other hand my older sister pretty much fits the description of the first child, so I`m not sure.
Dani Alexandria My parents didnt have time to look after me as a first child so much so I had to play alone, causing me to do things alone, causing independance. My brother, however, had me to play with and rather than learning to play alone, always had someone else, so I am more independent. That is how that works, I guess.
Meme Addictions I am sure your parents were doing the best they could. I know those tropes are not going to apply to everyone. All I was trying to say is that that is the story for many parents which is why you end up with a hard bunch of children with similar personality traits depending on birth order. It is not because of their actual order of birth but has more to do with the parents
*Jack-jack's power will be a power I call... jack of all traits, basically he keeps ALL of his powers... pixar purposely gave jack jack his name cause of the phrase "a jack of all traits" meaning he has not just 1 or 2 quirks, HE HAS about... 20!!!*
Luca Jenkins-Pugh I like this idea but to add, the phrase Jack of all trades/traits means you can do/have everything but not perfectly. So I think that his powers will never be perfected but could grow into more
He also has a form of enhanced intelligence, given that he understands and perfectly mimics Edna and also has a sort of understanding of his powers and how to use them without hurting his family.
Honestly, you could take out a few of the powers and just put them all under shape-shifting. But for manipulative he might become the first psychic/mind-controller, you never know :) Also I think laser eyes will stay too because why not Also I'm the middle child and I feel attacked
I feel like polymorphism, fire baby, metal baby and maybe phasing are part of the same thing: Some kind of "alchemy" power over his own body. The 3 teleportation kinds might also just be the same; but at different speeds.
Jack Jack loves cookies, so he might as well grow to be a chef, a Gordon Ramsay type for his anger issues. But the racoon scene shows he has a passion for crime fighting. His time with Edna is surely gonna give him some artistic and technological skills. I predict that he will have multiple passions along with his multiple powers. I hope the third movie will tackle Jack Jack being an indecisive 10 yr old trying to find his purpose in life.
I thought they were going to analyze the things he does in the movie to show his personality, like the racoon fight, instead of pulling up this fictional talk show list of assumed character traits. Things like his love of cookies or bursts of temper say more about him. Even though he's a baby, some babies take things better than others so his short fuse is already a hint.
i always thought the names where puns on the powers. Jack of all trades-Jack jack dash-if you can't put 2 and 2 together for that one then your a idiot violet-turns into ultraviolet light to become invisible
I have two questions about the Incredibles that I wanna see as theories. 1. What if Mr. Incredible didn’t turn Incrediboy down? 2. What if Oliver Sansweet, the man who caused the whole “No superheroes” thing after Mr. Incredible saved him when he didn’t want him to, didn’t sue and the law against superheroes never existed?

Incrediboy would die on that fight with Bomb Voyage, Mr. Incredible would be considered guilty, and both Deavors would be their foes. Evelyn would be the same, Winston would be still pro heroes, but would blame Bob for the forbid.
Honestly I just want to know what kind of superpower I could possibly have in the Incredibles universe. I'm constantly procrastinating, I'm very sensitive, and I have a very creative imagination. I think my superpower would be something along the lines of shapeshifting, shapeshifting is basically the most creative superpower of the bunch, I might just shift into something small and fragile whenever I'm in a sensitive state or something along those lines, and I don't think there is any better way to procrastinate than being able to shift your body into literally anything
Originally when I saw the first movie I thought he could transform. He has alot of different "forms". I think his different forms (fire, demon baby, steel baby, ect) are all part of one power of "transforming". I also think his splitting works as a part of that power. That's just me though.
Their names usually have to do with their powers (dash being super speed, violet referencing ultraviolet light, bob being a generic name and super strength being a generic power) for this reason I think that jack jack will be a JACK of all aces
We actually learn that Dash's real name is Daniel in Incredibles 2 ( when they escape in the car when voice activating it) and Dash is probably a nickname.
The part where Ben came in and interrupted J about Nord VPN using Harry Potter, the dragon, and his broomstick from the first Triwizard game was hilarious!!! 11:34
I think Jack Jack will have the multiplying power because JACK JACK, his name is twice, and using the 'name method', there would be multiple, jack jack jack jack jack jack jack jack, that was fun to type, so there would be may jack jacks and this is why i dont have a youtube channel because i can explain
I am the youngest of 7 kids in my family and all of those traits apply to me very well expect for two... social and confident... I don’t know if this is just me but as the youngest I am a big introvert, I’m not good with communication or being around others. Also, I am definitely NOT confident I am VERY shy, insecure and awkward...
The explanation of why Jack Jack and other super babies have so many powers before finally settling with one or two at an older age sounds similar to the reason why the girl from the golden compass has an ever changing soul pet or daemon. You see in the golden compass movie everyone has a soul companion that follows them around in the form of different animals like a dog, cat, wolf, bird, etc. The main character's companion doesn't have a specific animal form yet and keeps changing from one animal to another. Apparently this is normal for young children and their companions will eventually settle into one animal form when the child grows older.
Riri Pari then why is the rest of the family, Frozone and Edna all surprised he has multiple powers when they first find out. Edna was obvious and then when elastagirl asked about missing his first power mr incredible makes it a point to eagerly say the first 17.
I believe that Jack Jack will have at least five power when he is at least Violet sage and I think that they could be lighting himself on fire, portal teleportation, shape-shifting, laser eyes and Demon baby. (Except it would just be demon Jack by the time he's Violet's age lol)
This video made me laugh so much 😂😂 I'm the youngest and I'm all of that apart from confident, but Jack Jacks powers are awesome, fire is the one he uses most and that's why I thought it'd be one of his future powers
The Ice Queen what if his power is shape shifting. He just changes to look like someone and changes to steal or use powers. It also goes into youngest child syndrome as he could transform to fit in better
I've seen it twice, and if i'm being honest it doesn't feel like a Pixar movie. I still enjoyed it, and I loved the short-film Bao. But I wish it was more emotional.
I have a question... What happens if your personality changes? Like sure you can be brash and impulsive as a child, but your personality can change as you grow as a person. I like to think I'm less of a brat now than I was as a kid, and people in general are subject to change, right?
I was also thinking about that. Specifically towards Violet because she changed from being very shy and kinda EMO to being confident. She hides from people and blocks them out less. So when she is older I’m guessing invisibility and force fields would also be less fitting for her personality in the future.
i feel like it relies on very core parts of the personality, Violet can be confident and hides less, but can still need to be invisible at times. i know when i was younger i related so much to Violet because she was so shy, and i'm definitely still shy, but i've gotten much better. but either way, i'm still very much an introvert and need to be invisible in some situations or need to be alone. plus her shyness could result in a big personality trait being her need to feel protected, thus the force fields. its not so much based on their personality as a child, but who they are at the core of them if you know what i'm trying to say? plus, a lot of childhood shapes us INTO the kinds of people we are and our personality for life, so it would make sense that the powers go through the same
Sorry, the only reason middle children ever do anything for attention is because we don’t get enough. Parents are always to busy raising/keeping the youngest out of trouble, and worrying about wether or not the oldest is going to crash the car.
Personally, I always (and still) thought Jack Jack's power is shape-shifting. Fire baby, metal baby, monster baby and some of the other stuff are all the same power. This also fits with the manipulation thing.
Maybe babies manifest many powers when they are younger, and they start using a few more than others because they fit their personalities more.
Aaron D. Rodriguez what if Violet and Dash COULD KEEP more powers but losing powers was easier for their parents so they urged them to lose most of their powers?
I think Jack Jack will have all of those plus telekinesis (just because manipulation seems to fit that). I love the layout of the video. And just putting this out there-my eldest brother has youngest child syndrome.
The Super gene is like eye colors. The Brown eyes are the average citizens. The genes that the family have are like blue eyes, different shading. However, the green eyes is Jack Jack, a possibility that is rare.
The forth dimension is a very theoretical thing and if someone were to see the fourth dimension they probably could not comprehend what they're seeing like in H.g. wells novels the characters go crazy if they see the fourth dimension so it's probably a pocket dimension or an alternate universe so I think it is a pocket dimension or since there's a lot of empty space in the world maybe jack is shrinking then flying to someplace and this would explain why he can hear his dad
Two theories since this is Pixar the first dealing with soul an inside out which will help determine his life term (I know it’s not a sentence) power or powers. The other is that the unlimited potential is actually protection because he’s a baby so he’s literally given everything and maybe as evolution of supers go he was given more than his siblings. Just a thought🤷🏾but I also like the idea that this is his super power “to change for his current needs”
I am from Austria, so I grew up watching the movie in german. I think it is interesting that they changed some of the names. First Violet became Violetta - wich I kind of get because it sounds more german (I mean they still pronounce the other Names english sooooooo there is that). (They also did that in Harry Potter with Hermione (Hermine in german) while still pronounce ANY OTHER name english (including her last name) anywayy that was not my point haha) But they also changed Dash in Flash wich is strange since it is just another english name. Like it doesn't even sound more german... I guess they used it because the word flash is more known by germans but still.
In the Hungarian version Violet is Illana, which comes from the Hungarian word illan, meaning to fastly disappear. They call her Lana for short. Dash is named Will, I think because hungarians don't know a lot of English words, so they just went with a common English name. Jack-jack's name is Furi, that comes from the Hungarian word fura, meaning strange. Also, that plus i makes it sound more like a baby's name, so Furi basically means 'little one who is strange'.
Wasn’t steel baby in the a short or deleted scenes with Edna when she was carrying him and he just went limp. Like most babies do that but essentially cause of his powers he just goes to steel baby. Actually if you think about it, all his forms relate to typical baby antics just in superpower form. When he gets mad, he turns into the torch or hulk baby especially if he’s messing with people. When he wants to go where he wants he just teleports instead of crawling really fast or running. When he sneezes or has allergies, laser eyes and the weird torpedo launch thing. The creators literally made him a normal baby with normal features that were exemplified as superpowers and that’s actually really cool!

Jonathan Carlin I think the third one you considered as teleportation was more a combination of phasing through walls and levitation
Hi J. Nice profile pic

And maybe the portalling is just intangibility or just vibrating so fast he goes through walls, like the Flash.
Jonathan Carlin sup
Bailey Castaneda and maybe levitation is just him using telekinesis on himself.
Kind of like Mystique or Darwin from X-Men: First Class, being able to alter his appearance to suit the change in environments
Which would explain why he "happens" to have whatever power he needs for each situation
He shows the highest form of Shapeshifting too. Omnifarious.
Good point.
I agree with this comment through and through
Quite a few of these can be categorized under "shapeshifting".
Cecilio Mendoza umm
Cecilio Mendoza the fact is you know what he meant and you just tried to act smart but that’s making you seem dumber for not noticing or blatantly saying it to try and act smart even though you know the fact it isn’t that just for recognition good job 👍
Cecilio Mendoza actually yes. Omnifarious shapeshifting, also known as “perfect shapeshifting” is a power that lets you change your genome down to the molecular level. If jack jack had this form of shapeshifting he could give himself whatever power he wanted
Wafflemonster33 we’ll know your just showing off with that level of science lol
Otterax it’s not science. It’s fake. And if you read any amount of comic books you would know it
Check out the deleted scenes. Jack jack has even more powers. Water form, tiny form, mist form, emp burst, and super speed.
For a grand total of 26 powers. That's if you count these from the delete scenes 😁
Somebody else noticed! Yes.
Yeah, they do count
Raven's_Haven that deleted scene was awesome tho
these powers are the same as they ones shone in the auntie edna short
I don't think so. It's deleted so therefore we shouldn't count it in the canon

Oop-
Alright
what if jack jacks power is to change powers
True Ninja36 that would make a lot of sense
woah. deep. that..........that just blew my mind right there
Me and my wife have our own theory like that. He has the ability to rearrange his entire molecular structure to anything he wants, and thanks to his inherited strengh from his dad, this allows him to bend his molecules into other ways, such as fire, lazer eyes, etc.
woahhh makes sense
I thought it was to copie powers from supers he has met. The family just doesn't know he has met supers because they had to hide their identity.
Also one power could be to shape shift into any from or material (even fire?)
I believe Edna is a super, and her power is youth.
She stays young and looks the same for like, 20 years.
From the wedding of Bob and Hellen to Incredibles 2!!!
Omg why didn't anyone think about this before!
No that just how Asians age

What about jack jack
Didn't Edna say that Jack-Jack is something of a special case because he is a Polymorph? This could mean he has the potential to keep ALL of his powers and even gain more.
We don't know yet...
But it is possible, they are painting jack jack like he is going to be a special and powerful super
I really hope so
Yeah, but that doesn't make a good story. If the writers did that, maybe they would incorporate some kind of limit, such as "He has too much power and its killing him." Would make a pretty good premise for a spinoff involving older JakJak.
Gain more like Infamous second son
Fun theory: Dash is quick and has blonde hair because bob still wants to be a super and live life fast so when dash starts to show signs of powers, they are powers of speed like the emotion of bob at the time. Vi has darker hair like Ellen because when Vi starts to show powers, the emotion of the family is hiding powers, hence her invisibility.
Violet’s name has a double meaning: the first is that she can control ultraviolet light, but the second is relating to her personality. A shrinking violet refers to an exaggeratedly shy individual, much like Violet’s personality at the beginning of the first movie
woah.
Elastic Girl originally Wore the color red, mr. Incredible blue. Red and blue mixed together equals violet. Boom 3rd meaning
*WOKE*
*[Color mixture is intensifies]*
I feel like Jack of all trades might mean his metamorphosis Will be his final powers (fire, metal, rubber, Demon, duplicating, giant, turning into others, etc)
And the other ones like teleportation, laser eyes and telekinesis might go away
I would maybe cut demon out of the mix, but that is just me, since i think his power would potentially be Morphing, as you said, but more so i think it may be the ability to change what material his body is made out of, so that covers the fire, steel, rubber and maybe even his phasing through stuff thing, then by extension it lets him change his appearance aswell as a finer version of that.
sergio vela "Jack-Jack" says to me he'll also keep duplication
sergio vela he could use the portals for other people like the portal gun from portal
sergio vela you know what they say jack of all trades master of none it could be that even with jack jack’s power having immense power but he’d never be able to use it as well as someone with say the giant power on it’s own.
The duplication would also play into his name: multiple Jacks.
We only have 13 years to wait to find out

"I'm gonna go for more powers rather than less"
*Minutes later*
"How are we going to narrow down all these powers?!"
If he didn't do that, I'm sure Violet could have put a forcefield out... but I enjoyed the giant baby scene more.
Powers that J thinks Jack-Jack may retain into adulthood:
1. Self-duplicating
2. Super Strength + Invulnerability
3. Levitation
4. Portal Teleportation
5. Spontaneous Combustion
6. Morphing
7. Laser Eyes
8. Demon Baby / Hulking Out
demon baby hulking out is kinda morphing so 7 powers
How good would Jack Jack (in adulthood) be against the Omnidroids (if he were able to fight them)
@@simplii_rotting9381 I think it's listed as its own because J said it's not likely to be something he can control or would even list if telling someone what his powers were, instead being more of something that just, happens. Of course this doesn't mean it's *not* the same power (plenty of existing characters of all kinds use their powers in unpredictable and often frightening ways when emotional), this is just why I believe it's #8 here instead of being part of #6.

Watch Jack Jack become angsty teenage supervillain
Jack Jack... like blackjack... 21 powers... also called 21...
He keeps all of them!

Mileena Kahn that would be so cool if that becomes his superhero name: Blackjack!!
Sarah Quartuccio And what if he becomes a super Anti-Hero like the punisher or Deadpool (not really a villain but not a super hero either)
Insomnia Zombie that is so wicked!!!!
I like this concept I hope it happens omg
Maddie Romanoff maybe after a time skip.. Jack jack as an angsty teen
Everybody forgets about jack-jack reality distortion. In the scene when they are in the car about to go to the yacht
Fletchtooth that would make sense with his name! Jack - jack as in copying which would be good for shape shifting
In fact of all his powers, he seems to have the more shapeshifting abilities than anything else.
The Time Pony Ooo what If when he shape-shifts he gets the others powers!? That way he would be able to keep having the multi power ability.
Oh my god you are actually so right
I think that Jack Jack's power is simply the power to change his form.
@@jacobpedersen-banovcinyear2965 curiosity and wonder

Edna explicitly says that JJ is a polymorph, so I think all the powers that involve transforming will all stay no matter what (Fire, Steel, Demon, Chewing-Gum form, Giant, Imitation). Laser Eyes seems to be the power he has the most control off already, so it will surely also stay, alongside Strenght, Super Durability and Flight/Levitation to fit the quartet of the Superman reference.

So Frozone has ice powers cos he's cool
Since his name is Jack Jack
I'm thinking something along the lines of shapeshifting.
It's a very versatile ability, plus since he does seem like the type to me who enjoys outsmarting others, shapeshifting would be the right (annoying) fit for that.
Lune - chan It would explain several powers seen in the sequel (Demon Baby, Fire Baby, Goop Baby, Jumbo Baby, Edna-face Baby...)
How about the power of adapting. Like Darwin from x-men first class. He does seemingly get random spurts of powers we never see again that are usually just used to fix the situation hes in.

Dakota Ryals Yes... yes I did 😉
I can argue the idea that Jack-jack only has 5 major powers (certain powers fall into one of 5 major categories).
- Inter-dimensional travel
- Teleportation: disappearing from one place and reappearing in another using inter-dimensional shortcuts
- Portal jumping: shrinking the distance between dimensional gateways without having to disappear and reappear like teleportation
- Dimension hopping: being able to travel to other dimensions
- Molecular manipulation
- Turning to metal: changing his own molecular structure
- Turning to fire: changing his own molecular structure
- Turning to slime/goo/gelatin: changing his own molecular structure
- Growing: changing his own molecular size
- Molecular mimicry: changing his own molecular design
- Demon baby: changing his own molecular design
- Duplication: replicating his own cells to make more of himself
- Invulnerability: changing his own molecular structure
- Super strength? Nope. Manipulating the molecular density of other objects
- Molecular vibration: changing the speed in which his cells vibrate
- Energy surge: changing the electrical magnitude of his cells, creating a surge of electricity to burst from his body
- Gravitational manipulation
- Levitation: creating a separate gravity field around himself
- Telekinesis: creating a separate gravity field around targeted objects and being about to move them around
- Wall crawling: creating a separate gravity field around himself
- Laser vision
- Mimicry: matching others’ behavior
Boom. Inter-Dimensional Travel, Molecular Manipulation, Gravitational Manipulation, Laser Vision, and Mimicry. 5 major powers.
TayJay Pro Huh, that does make sense

The adult supers were given their names by the government. The kids got their names by their super parents.

Some of birth order is true but I have to say I think it is the parents role and how the parents just teach their kids.

Imagine if Jack Jack was able to use those powers to the extent of some characters in Marvel. Like how the metal in Colossus' body is as tough as Wolverine's claws, or if he can create a supernova like Human Torch, or if his Telekinesis is as good as Jean Grey's.
Mark Prosper which version of the avengers are you talking about?
Anne Frank Hiding From Hitler which one?
When you were talking about the names it reminded me about a conversation with my friend....
Me: You know, not only their personalities reflect their powers but also their names. Dash is really fast so he can dash around. When Violet turns invisible she turns ultraviolet. Then Jack-Jack is the jack of all trades.
My friend: what about Bob and Helen ?
Me: well... super strength is kinda a basic power and a lot of super heroes have it. Bob is kinda a basic name. As for Helen.....
My friend: They just took a stretch on that one 😉
remember that Bob and Helen most likely weren't born with their super power.

Smart Jack: telekinesis/telepathy
"A child flew right over me and blasted a car with it's laser vision!" "I tried to run from it but it picked me up with it's mind powers and shook me like a dog", so I guess Jack Jack traveled to the Monsters Inc dimension :o
I'm the youngest child in my family and;
Blueminer117 nope I'm the same.
Honestly same
So am I
Are you the 3rd child?
He died tho ;(
Ender Wiggins not in the comics
+Emma Brennan
Darwin usually actually avoids the issue of being overpowered, since his power is entirely defensive.
I can't think of a good way that ultraviolet light could be related to how forcefields might work though...
shes a shrinking violet
I think it's because Bob and Helen's old suits were colored Blue And Red
@@bheronz agree. first kid, just name it as our most representable things.
Actually, Violet was named Violet because their old suit colors (Bob & Helen) create violet when mixed.
I think all transformations will stay because he has a lot. A jack of all trades
Anonymous Bacon he literally pointed that out in the vid
Jack-Jack of all Trades. Kind of clunky, but it's accurate...
I think "Demon baby" Could translate to Jack Jack being very hot headed as an adult or teenager.
Low tolerance threshold indeed.
3:43 Did you not see the Auntie Edna short? It was included in that. Incredibles have their shorts to showcase Jack Jack.
Sad sad

Kaylee Carter actually his name is Dashell! Helen calls him ‘Dashell Robert Parr’.
the writer's confirmed that. it was a joke that they wanted to but in for the fans
Then what about Helen? Saying her name is related to elasticity is quite the STRETCH... I'll see myself out
@@alpharabbit2353 haha ha.... ahhahahahah. HaAAAaAAaaaAaa
You might be overthinking it
I am the youngest of 7 kids in my family and all of those traits apply to me very well expect for two... social and confident... I don’t know if this is just me but as the youngest I am a big introvert, I’m not good with communication or being around others. Also, I am definitely NOT confident I am VERY shy, insecure and awkward...
Kawanna ! Shrek could help with that
Yeah same I’m the youngest of 5 and I’m not social or confident at all
Every TH-camr who discussed jack jacks powers has failed to mention his high intelligence as a possible super power.
Didly Bo Bidly yup
0:23 Well, he's a polymorph, right? So he could literally have EVERY power.
7:57 so true I’m the oldest sibling and my little sister shows all of these traits, whereas I’m just a depressed nervous wreck.
I believe that Jack Jack will have at least five power when he is at least Violet sage and I think that they could be lighting himself on fire, portal teleportation, shape-shifting, laser eyes and Demon baby.
(Except it would just be demon Jack by the time he's Violet's age lol)
The traits for child birth also work pretty well for Hela, Thor, and Loki.
This video made me laugh so much 😂😂 I'm the youngest and I'm all of that apart from confident, but Jack Jacks powers are awesome, fire is the one he uses most and that's why I thought it'd be one of his future powers
I'm youngest and I'm an introvert with social anxiety
The Ice Queen what if his power is shape shifting. He just changes to look like someone and changes to steal or use powers. It also goes into youngest child syndrome as he could transform to fit in better
I saw incredible 2 today, and it was so good! Normally the sequel is terrible compared to the first one, but this was amazing!
Mishumydog me too! I saw it and couldn't stop talking to my family about it lol 😅
It was definitely worth the 14 year wait. Going to go see it again.
I disagree
I've seen it twice, and if i'm being honest it doesn't feel like a Pixar movie. I still enjoyed it, and I loved the short-film Bao. But I wish it was more emotional.
I have a question... What happens if your personality changes? Like sure you can be brash and impulsive as a child, but your personality can change as you grow as a person. I like to think I'm less of a brat now than I was as a kid, and people in general are subject to change, right?
I was also thinking about that. Specifically towards Violet because she changed from being very shy and kinda EMO to being confident. She hides from people and blocks them out less. So when she is older I’m guessing invisibility and force fields would also be less fitting for her personality in the future.
i feel like it relies on very core parts of the personality, Violet can be confident and hides less, but can still need to be invisible at times. i know when i was younger i related so much to Violet because she was so shy, and i'm definitely still shy, but i've gotten much better. but either way, i'm still very much an introvert and need to be invisible in some situations or need to be alone. plus her shyness could result in a big personality trait being her need to feel protected, thus the force fields. its not so much based on their personality as a child, but who they are at the core of them if you know what i'm trying to say? plus, a lot of childhood shapes us INTO the kinds of people we are and our personality for life, so it would make sense that the powers go through the same
The Unholy Smirk well maybe 'cuz of the confidence she can use her shields to attack as she do in the second movie
If your personality changes a lot, like from shy and academic to outgoing and athletic, your powers might change from mind-reading to superspeed.
I, as a youngest sibling, think yes most of those are indeed true.
Im also the youngest sibling in my family, and I’m regularly considered a brat
1) Highly social - kind of
2) Confident - again, kind of, but less so
3) Creative - Nope
4) Problem solver - Yeah
5) Manipulative - Not at all
And I, as a youngest sibling, laugh at how absurdly WRONG they are. At least in my family.
(rolls eyes)
Awesomizer 2000 sane just yes on creative
Maybe babies manifest many powers when they are younger, and they start using a few more than others because they fit their personalities more.
Aaron D. Rodriguez what if Violet and Dash COULD KEEP more powers but losing powers was easier for their parents so they urged them to lose most of their powers?
So Jack Jack is kinda like Franklin Richards?
You know, in the sense that he's an Omega level super/mutant, that's the child of two supers/mutants.
However, the green eyes is Jack Jack, a possibility that is rare.
i think he will have the 4th dimension because incredibles 2 focus on this pretty well
The forth dimension is a very theoretical thing and if someone were to see the fourth dimension they probably could not comprehend what they're seeing like in H.g. wells novels the characters go crazy if they see the fourth dimension so it's probably a pocket dimension or an alternate universe so I think it is a pocket dimension or since there's a lot of empty space in the world maybe jack is shrinking then flying to someplace and this would explain why he can hear his dad
7:53 eh, I have a younger sibling and he’s not really like this
Right? My lil brother is antisocial, very insecure, not much of a problem solver, idk if he's creative, BUT hes manipulative...
Love how you are quoting Seamus xD So cool
You guys are so awesome at commentary for Pixar keep up the good work

(Ben comes in and yells at J) XD Lol
I think jack-jack will have shapeshiftng and laser eyes when he's older also his fire metal demon rubber giant and mimicry forms are all shapeshifting
I'm an only child. Well unless you count my cat then I'm the oldest
mrs mozzarella sticks me toooooo😂
Unless you count my dad's chicken sure. I'm the oldest too
Same!
Same lol
What an amazing product placement!!! You guys are the best
Should Toy Story 4 be made?
th-cam.com/video/umDr0mPuyQc/w-d-xo.html
No.
1)We don't have all of the vocie actors
2)Not the same Director
Jaden Easton it's should be called B4
Well it will next year anyway weather it should or not
It’s a perfect trilogy already and ended perfectly, I heard that most of the script was scrapped and John lasseter is gone.
