Actually, the Rams were in Los Angeles for most of their existence. They started in Cleveland, but moved to LA in just a few years. This was in the 1940s. They moved to St. Louis in 1995, and stayed there and got one Super Bowl. But Stan Kroenke wanted to move the Rams within the next 15 or so years. In 2015, the Rams, Chargers, and Raiders filed for relocation for the 2016 season. The Rams won by 21-11 votes by the owners, and the Raiders and Chargers had to make choices. The Chargers decided to join the Rams in LA for the 2017 season, while the Raiders stayed in Oakland while waiting for their shiny new stadium in Vegas to open.

Are these people brilliant? That roof is suspended by cables AND supports that video board! They have sort-of-like train wheels on the columns so that in an event the roof doesn't pull at the columns OR the columns don't pull at the roof.
They didn't go by trial and error. They built it like smooth sailing. No going back and correcting boo-boos.

I really hope that this does not become the new standard for stadiums. I just got back from my first Rams game and the entertainment produced and delivered to this screen made the actual game itself a side show.
Part of this was due to the content production choices but most was due to the inescapable distraction that this screen created in the venue.

Usually with screens this size, it's many smaller panels, I'm not sure what size each panel is, but most likely a few feet by a few feet. So if a football does smash into it, only a very small part would be out

Not quite. This one is double sided so you can see it on both sides. This stadium is massive ,no hate but doesn’t appear to have that “home” and welcoming feel like the Benz. There is so much to see and do around the Benz. I’d be interested to see what the concessions areas look like and the food prices

Dumb to have the empty stadium, you could at least allow the Luxury Boxes, even if you limit them to approx. 8 because that many arrive in a group, one RV or 2 cars anyways perhaps the same 1 or 2 houses even family that always visit eachother anyways, the regular seats, I notice sections that could be divided into 4 to 8 sections & allow 8-12 people per those section, only allowing seating on the inner seats of those sq off sections, perhaps 20% of the Stadium, but at least 10% allowing 10,000 + the Luxury boxes, 20% better, BUT personally, I'd just go 4 seats on, 4 seats off staggered per row & get 1/2 the stadium filled w/ real fans, like 40,000, still less brushing elbows than shopping for groceries. my 1st suggestion 'at least" is less than going to the beach.

I'm curious about the temperature inside the stadium. It seemed to be pretty hot even the journalists and the players seemed to be sweating to much. I guess we have zero control over the climate inside. I think that's going to be an uncomfortable situation to say the least. Does anyone know if we can control the temperature inside?

46 of the 302 canopy panels can be opened to increase air flow. Also, the average high in Inglewood in September is 77F (66F in December) -- not exactly Woodland Hills. Lastly, ETFE panels are designed to disperse and scatter light rays, through something called fritting, which significantly reduces greenhouse warming effect inside the building.

Aldo The Stadium is the South Bay which always cooler than inland Los Angeles. Also, the canopy can open some panels to let out any trapped heat. Lastly, it’s a canopy, meaning all sides of the stadium are open for cross ventilation

the renderings were way more ambitious than the final result. The end result looks rather tattered. Speaker fabric underneath the board looks awful. Speakers take up 2/5 of the wall. The worst part is the ugly diagonal trim piece! Funny that wasnt included in any of the renderings lol
