      Yes, you absolutely can, as long as it is your original artwork, Redbubble and Society6 allow you to retain ownership of your artwork 🥰

    Is there a reason that you select all of the possible products to sell? I would think that some of the products that don’t work well with this pattern like maybe the tank top (idk just an example) would only be cluttering up your page and would drown out some of the cooler products with this design like the curtains/wallpaper etc.
    Also curious how long it took to pick up traction on the site? Did you start getting orders right away or have to do some outside advertising?

    Great video, but I try to upload the pattern designs and it takes ages. What size and dpi did you upload? I read you did 8500x8500 at 72dpi. Is that right? My patterns are vector, but is 72 dpi allowed in Society6 requirements?

    • @DesignbyCheyney

      Thank you 😊 I have never learned how to. I was never taught how to make patterns so this is the way I taught myself to do them. There are some big gaps in my software knowledge since my Uni training was so long ago and the course I did focused more on conceptual thinking rather than technical skill. I have been using skill share lately, now might be the time to learn 💕

    Hope you read this Cheyney, I uploaded a seamless pattern of 8100 x 8100 but wallpaper doesn’t show as seamless. Any tips to do it correctly.

    • @DesignbyCheyney
      @DesignbyCheyney  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It won’t show as seamless across all products, but you will notice on the wallpaper product it should repeat nicely? If you want it seamless on the other products you need to tile it in your design software and upload it to the scale you want it for the products. Hopefully that makes sense 😎

    • @shaminia719
      @shaminia719 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I joined society6 only yesterday. The two designs I uploaded doesn’t show seamless on wallpaper in preview mode. Do I need to resize it to 3600x3600 instead of keeping at 8100x8100

  • @katestjames6226
    @katestjames6226 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Hello Cheyney, while your video is very good, the issue I have with using a repeat pattern tile is that Society6 doesn't allow you to scale the design appropriately for each product. Your design in this video has many of the same elements within the pattern, and it does look great across most of the products. However, depending on ones own design, the patterns can look awful on some products as the design is meant to repeat, not just be used larger or smaller if you get my drift! I just wish Society6 had the same repeat upload capacity as say, Redbubble does. Just my thoughts on this.

      Shraddha Patil are you exporting it at 72dpi, 150dpi or 300dpi? Try it at a lower dpi, it might be too big. My artboard is 8000 (ish)px and exported as a .Peng at 150dpi

    Hi! I’m hoping you can help me. I am finding that the preview of my file on the Society6 website is looking a little blurry... have you ever had an issue with that? I know I uploaded the correct file size and ppi.. any ideas?

    • @DesignbyCheyney
      @DesignbyCheyney  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Sami, thank you for reaching out. Hmmm, not that I have noticed. But it could just be the mockup. One way to test it would be to order a sticker or something low value to test the quality of the print (assuming it is blurry on all mockups/previews). If you uploaded a high resolution file, I wouldn't worry about it, it might just be a compression thing on their end.

    • @melpomene65
      @melpomene65 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@DesignbyCheyney 300 dpi

    • @katestjames6226
      @katestjames6226 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      6000x6000 is not large enough for many of the products on Society6. Unfortunately, I find their site lacking when it comes to the repeat pattern option. They simply don't have that facility as Redbubble does. To cover the larger products, your file will need to be made larger, but still keeping the same DPI. It's very frustrating I know. I always save at 300DPI, but again, your file will need to be large enough at that size to work with the specific product. For example, a table cloth file needs to be at least 15600px wide and 9000px tall, at 300DPI. I hope that helps, even though your query was 8 months ago!
