    My biggest complaint with TH-cam videos is that the people do way too much talking and very little action. It's not that case with you Dylan. Fantastic video just what I needed.

    Wow! These are great features to add to a slide show that will make it truly professional. And the couple behind Affinity Revolution are just so dang charming.

    This is just superb. The markers trick is so simple but so clever. I didn’t know you could alter the slideshow transition images that way! Thanks again!

    Hi Dylan, random idea for you. I was looking around for a "slot machine" effect. You know the old school machine that spin three barrels, and then randomly stop one of the symbols. If the three match up, you win something. I couldn't really find much in the Final Cut Pro realm for it. Basically, multiple drop zones, one of which is predetermined to complete the animation for each. The closest I found was a vertical scrolling plugin that supported 7 drop boxes. Putting three of them side by side might achieve the effect, playing with speed in, speed out, and some nice sound effects. In any event, something like that might make a neat Motion tutorial and/or a cool addition to your Patreon. I'm sure you'd jazz it up with start and end acceleration, overshooting, and motion blur. Not sure if folks just haven't done something like this for Motion/FCP, or if I just missed it in my cursory search. I commented on your slideshow, because my thought is that it's essentially a vertical slideshow of a stack of images with some changes in acceleration (and a much faster speed, of course).

    This will work if you have few photos. Will be very tough if you have over 100 photos (vertical and horizontal). Ken Burns will also not work for all the photos.

    Hey Dylan, I used your techniques here to make my latest video and it looks awesome! The feedback on it so far is limited because my channel is so new, but but I've heard some very positive things from people who contributed images. Also, unrelated, I use your Zooms plugin constantly. Amazing stuff! Thanks

    What the heck.. ok, I was totally blown by:
    - crop ken burns multi selection applies random ones automatically!
    - those photo/picker handlers on the transition. That can’t be done with Motion as of now can you? Apple is cheating there.

  • @artincorona
    @artincorona 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Excellent video however when I tried to add transitions i had a pop up say not enough media beyond the clip edge....etc, but I chose to create it anyway but for some reason the transition isn't created. My clips are also 4 seconds long. Any ideas what's happening?

    • @TheFinalCutBro
      @TheFinalCutBro  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I’m curious are you applying the transitions onto photos or videos? And if it’s photos, are they in a compound clip?
      This warning usually pops up with the beginning of a video doesn’t have enough media to cover a transition. An easy way to fix that is to either trim the beginning of the clip (so it can pull from the trimmed media) or to press T then click and drag on the clip so you slide the media to a later point in time.
      However, if it’s in a compound clip, you can double click on the compound clip. Then extend the photo / video to be much longer so you have enough media to work with. Then you can follow the earlier steps of trimming / sliding with T.
      Hope that makes sense!

    Great tutorial, thanks. It all worked well for me until the part where you added extra photos around 7:12 point. My photos were added, but didn't pick up any of the attributes that the original photos have, such as Ken Burns, have I missed a step?

    • @swizzlebeatstv
      @swizzlebeatstv ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You might just need to select and copy the original photo (with the effects on) and then highlight the other photos and then paste the attributes again which should work.
