I own the Jeep in this video! Got it with the stickers and moved the lights wiring from inside the grill to moving around it. Awesome seeing it here!! Still runs like new!
Wow great video. I took delivery of my 2003 Inca gold Rubicon in October of 2002. I ordered it with the soft top and half doors and manual transmission. It's almost 20 years old and It still puts a smile on my face every time I drive it. One of the best rigs ever.
Beautiful! Jeep Called it Inca gold pearl. I got it on the 2003 Wrangler sport in this color which looks more honey gold in person. Not the typical canary yellow that you see! And I got it at only 80,000 miles and a clean engine
Most Jeep guys like myself could care less about how rare a Jeep is in stock form. What matters the most is the condition and how well it performs off-road. Not if they only made one purple one ever.
Dealer near me had an Inca Gold TJ for sale last year and I admit I drooled a bit every time I passed by. Such a great color. I love my Solar Yellow but would not at all mind an Inca Gold.
Love your Jeep! I have a 2004 Rubicon w/ manual transmission. I love it! It will be with me for life although my 18 year old son is already asking questions about it!
Yep, same here. My dad has a 13’ Rubicon 10th Anniversary addition. Mom drove it daily for 4 years, though, so it has almost 200,000 Miles on it (living in a very rural area in Missouri). We bought a 16’ Jeep Cherokee last year to releave the Rubicon of daily duty. Rubicon is basically a toy now. Take it to Colorado every year, and drive it every Sunday, or whenever dad isn’t driving his company vehicle (a 16’ Wrangler Sahara). We are really a Jeep family. My granddad started driving them in the military, and eventually bought a old Yj when he couldn’t ride motorcycles anymore. He bought my grandma a 1989 Jeep Cherokee after that, and it was in our family for over 400,000 miles of use. Never broke down, and was still on the original 4.0 straight six, and auto trans. We bought Jeeps from there on out. My aunt has a all-original 03’ Jeep Tj Rubicon, in red, auto trans, with 25,000 Miles on it. It was the first one sold in Missouri. She went to special-order it, and the dealership didn’t even know what she was talking about with the Rubicon option. Anyway, my entire family drives Jeeps, the newest one being a 17’ Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit with the Hemi that my grandma drives. Yeah, my grandma is a badass... lol
Bought an 03 Rubi manual with 20,500 miles year before last and an 05 Rubi Auto with 85,000 this year. I enjoy them both . Expect to pay around 20k now for a nice one with low miles.
I have a white TJ Rubicon manual, bought from Stevenson Toyota in Lakewood last year after the hail storm, got a massive deal... just a few dings in the hood is all!
I have 03 Rubicon with 60K Miles turbo charged ( Banks Sidewinder) only wheleed once still looks pretty good Automatic need to see this thing to believe had it for 13 years garage kept
Nice TJR find. I too got lucky and found a great deal on a silver 03 TJ Rubicon last year with 94,000 miles. I had to settle for an automatic, could not find an affordable manual but no complaints. My first jeep but plan to keep it for life.
@@bradhelfrich629 Why less than are out of the factory are better than TJs, with the longer wheelbase, more clearance for bigger tires, axles improved, easier to disconnect sway bar.
Dude, that is my dream vehicle. In perusing used car websites, I've actually seen two of them for sale in my area, one with an automatic and one with a manual. Neither were over $20K either. It hurt to watch them pass by, with me helpless to get one.
Greg Houghton he didnt say anything funny..........soooo.........the tj is worth preserving, the last of the real jeeps and has that iconic amc straight six....
with all the bells and whistles that one has, along with how clean it is, it's worth it. Same thing happened to me with my YJ - I ended up loving the auto transmission as well because I drive it in SoCal traffic and go rock crawling
That is a sweet Jeep. Lemme know if you want to review my ZJ that cost 1/10th as much, has peeling paint and mismatched tires. The most fun is learning how automatic transmissions work (or don’t) and how to survive I-70 at 40mph while stuck in 2nd. Actually I’m hoping to get a TJ next.
Do yourself a favor and get a winch before the other things you mentioned, you will thank me later if you’re really wheeling this rig.. nice Jeep by the way bro
Good find on a sweet ride. Took me over a year to find my 05 LJ. Your comments about the Rubicon Express Super Flex lift have sealed the deal , that's the one for my LJ. Thank you. Here is one for you. I invested in a Insane Audio Head unit that brought me right up to date with the rest of humanity, to a point of course. Check them out
"Ultra Rare" because they only painted 200 something yellow? They made 76,000 Wranglers in 2003... lol it's not ultra rare. It's actually pretty normal.
It's a first year Rubicon that made up only 0.28% of the total produced for that year. This color is only found on 0.33% of all Wrangler TJs. I'd call that pretty rare.
MultiPurposeReviewer Paint doesn't make a Jeep rare. Sorry bud. Paint gets scraped off and becomes Badges of Honor. Rare cuz it's a first gen Rubi? Nah, wishful thinking. If this would have had one of a kind "experimental show car" Jeep suspension components or a pre-production never unveiled Hemi-- THAT'S ultra rare. I take it you are the one that would post a 15 year old Honda Civic on Craigslist for $15k because of it's "limited edition" sky blue paint.
Rare: (of a thing) not found in large numbers and consequently of interest or value. There exists only 212 examples of this color on this trim, out of hundreds of thousands. By definition, that makes it rare.
Very cool color but an all black interior sucks. Typical lazy, cheap Chrysler did this boring tired look bs on at least 80% of the TJs during its run. Khaki with a black bezel and air vents look great and would be a huge improvement.
If after watching this video, you don't know what the big deal is, then you should just leave, because you clearly aren't at a level that's acceptable for TFL.
Real Jeep guys don't give a crap about what color a Jeep left the factory as. These two guys obviously don't know jack about Jeep's. Hell that's the first time ever driving a tj for one of them and the first Jeep the other has owned.
No such thing as "jeep" and "rare" in the same sentence and especially not because of color. Definitely not "ultra rare" in this case. These are a dime a dozen and he spent too much for an 03, good god. Wah wah...
I have a 2004 willys TJ original paint. Much more exclusive. Much cooler paint. And I've put 100k in 5 years of daily driving it. My only vechile for life. It's been totalled 2 times I've rebuild it both times no one's ever giving me a video. He's hasn't even used his jeep 10k is nothing that is one trip for me
WeBePwning lmao not sure how I'm a keyboard warrior by pointing out your annoying personality. Go ahead though and keep responding and prove to everyone else how much of a dipshit you are. LOL!!! "...let alone a jeep" hey man, not sure what you think you're sitting on, but if what the gentleman in the video said is anything to go by, 15k isn't a whole heck of a lot of money. People buying brand new Kia Elantras are out spending you and your rattle box status symbol lol
Alexander Chavez DUDE honestly you proved my point too on you assuming shit and not knowing a damn thing just a petty hater with no Jeep or 4wdrive. I didn't pay 15k for my Jeep either (Its manual too) and I certainly don't care what you think bro you just are sad your car can't even handle 5 seconds of what my Jeep can. Have a nice pathic life driving on black top all day to your local strip mall loser.
I own the Jeep in this video! Got it with the stickers and moved the lights wiring from inside the grill to moving around it. Awesome seeing it here!! Still runs like new!

I just picked up my 01 60th anniversary with 92k Mike's for 7800, 3 inch rancho lift, 33s fully loaded, 5 speed, man I love TJs!
And I also have one of those 212 inca gold from 2003. Beautiful.
I have one with 28000 miles on mine, it stays on pavement but I'm old
Most Jeep guys like myself could care less about how rare a Jeep is in stock form. What matters the most is the condition and how well it performs off-road. Not if they only made one purple one ever.
Facts! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Dealer near me had an Inca Gold TJ for sale last year and I admit I drooled a bit every time I passed by. Such a great color. I love my Solar Yellow but would not at all mind an Inca Gold.

I also have an 04 Rubicon that I love but, unfortunately Vermont winters have taken its toll.
Sorry to hear that!

Yes she is! Bless her!
Bought an 03 Rubi manual with 20,500 miles year before last and an 05 Rubi Auto with 85,000 this year. I enjoy them both . Expect to pay around 20k now for a nice one with low miles.
Found one for 13k . Should I buy it? 86k miles.
I have a white TJ Rubicon manual, bought from Stevenson Toyota in Lakewood last year after the hail storm, got a massive deal... just a few dings in the hood is all!
Imo TJs are the best jeeps.I love my 05 LJ. I bought it 3 years ago with 103k for 12k. Best deal I could find on an lj
I have an '05 TJ Rocky Mtn and I definitely agree!
Love it! Nice looking TJ 1st year rubi and rare color whats not to love.
I have 03 Rubicon with 60K Miles turbo charged ( Banks Sidewinder) only wheleed once still looks pretty good Automatic need to see this thing to believe had it for 13 years garage kept

wranglers should be manuals
Nice
Justin Time u buy a standard tranny and stick in there
Auto is way better of road an the 904 T/ Flight is a great auto .👍🏻🇦🇺⛽️💯
Just bought a Red 2003 half door Rubicon for 15500.00 w/62000 miles.. No Rust.. I'm Happy.
nice jeep... good job TFL...
Love the jeep. I have a 2003, manual, Rubicon in Khaki Metallic. Have had thoughts of restoring it back to stock.
This makes me love my 03 rubicon tj so much more🤘🤘🤘
I have a Manual 2004 Jeep Wrangler sport hahah got it 5 months ago with 110,000 miles
I found my 2003 with 28,000 miles in garage kept condition in 2014. And of course I Love My Ride!!! TJ's all the way. Suck it JKU's!
Dude 2pt0 Out of curiosity, why are you hating on JK's? And why are TJ's 'better'?
TJs retain the jeep look a lot more than the JKs, the JKs may be a better off road vehicle, but they are not a better "jeep"
@@ForTwinTeeBleezEt JK's aren't better
off road than a TJ...
@@bradhelfrich629 Why less than are out of the factory are better than TJs, with the longer wheelbase, more clearance for bigger tires, axles improved, easier to disconnect sway bar.
I have a 2003 Blue Rubicon with auto transmission. Where do I find how many of those were built?
Ahhhhh, the paint makes it rare.
What steering set up is that? Looks good
You should take it up Gold mine Hill
Nice TJ. It looks like front axle is a Dana 44 which is nice.
Last week I got a 2006 jeep rubicon with 16000 miles
my 04 rubicon has the same exact dent on the passenger front fender... if you are watching.. how did that happen?
Um, “Goldilocks?”
Goldielocks….Great name:)
the *"DUDE I... "* was cut off so I swear you had TheDudeInBlue guest staring.
What a nice jeep “yep”
I have the same color jeep in a sport! Love it
Are you sure it’s real Inca gold? I believe this color was only available in the rubicon trim
He should her Goldie, it might be obvious it may not. Sounds like a good name for the Jeep I don't know never driven her but it's just a suggestion.
I say call it old gold. Goodwin Andre. How do you like the H2?
I found a 2003 Rubicon with only 37k on the ticker.
TJ Rubicon Tomb Raider Edition, I want to see that!
Dude, that is my dream vehicle. In perusing used car websites, I've actually seen two of them for sale in my area, one with an automatic and one with a manual. Neither were over $20K either. It hurt to watch them pass by, with me helpless to get one.
MultiPurposeReviewer yeah there was one near me. Again really hard to let pass.
just sold mine for $14k, they are around just gotta look
Great colour
Nice find ! Up date?
great color
what are the tire size
As a collector he should try to bring it back to stock.
Haha, good one. Maybe if he still has it when he's sixty he'll restore it to stock.
Greg Houghton he didnt say anything funny..........soooo.........the tj is worth preserving, the last of the real jeeps and has that iconic amc straight six....
Very cool, love it!
i bought mine 1 year old with 8,000 miles on it with more options for 15k
Huh? Spends a year looking for a nice manual trans Rubicon, finds one advertised as a manual trans but it’s an auto and buys it. Ooohkay.
Rod Z lol oh yeah you're rt!! Bought it cause its rare and holds value I bet, I would. Then id look for another with a manual lol.
with all the bells and whistles that one has, along with how clean it is, it's worth it. Same thing happened to me with my YJ - I ended up loving the auto transmission as well because I drive it in SoCal traffic and go rock crawling
Love my 03 tj
what's the difference between a rubicon and an 03 TJ?
First year of the Rubicon
_LJ rubicon rare_ TJ easy to find
Sorry a clean and I mean clean TJ is hard to find...
Don’t ever sell that thing! Unless you’re selling it to me🙂
Name it "Goldy-Locks"
That is a sweet Jeep. Lemme know if you want to review my ZJ that cost 1/10th as much, has peeling paint and mismatched tires. The most fun is learning how automatic transmissions work (or don’t) and how to survive I-70 at 40mph while stuck in 2nd. Actually I’m hoping to get a TJ next.
Worlds highest SPG (smile's per gallon)
other than the color what is rare?
You should have waited for a manual
agreed
Autos preform better off-road.
My brother gave me a 06 rubicon with 100000 👍😊
How's it running these days?
Good kid
Name = Goldie

As a Wrangler TJ Rubicon, yes. As a vehicle in Inca Gold, that depends on the person.
It’s a 04 but they started production in 03, people are stupid as hell. That’s like saying a 07 jk is a 06 😂😂😂
doesn't mean they stoopit, mikey..
