Pen - Copic Multiliner 0.05 (any fine pen will do, biro is ideal too!)
Sketchbook - Japanese Moleskine (any sketchpad with fine paper)
In this drawing session, we head up into the hills by bike to draw a WW2 pillbox, (thankfully it was never needed)
I’ll show the full drawing process (Around 45 minutes) in real time so you can draw along, as ever I will try my best to talk you through the thinking behind the process throughout.
It’s worth remembering, this is my own preferred technique and there is no wrong way to draw so long as you’re enjoying the process.
A few things covered in this drawing:
    .Finding angles
    .Symmetry
    .Tonal Range
    .Letting go of perfection
    .Gesturing details
    .The Journey within a drawing
The main advice in this video, “Draw what fascinates you!” there are plenty of reasons for this, mainly because it’s more fun, but it also helps with your engagement, which is key when trying to best capture a subject.
When you need that extra bit of patience, you can remind yourself why you are drawing and be motivated to continue!
Plenty of my videos so far have been from my home or in the studio, I will now introduce more videos covering how to draw on location, as this is a huge passion of mine and the main reason I am now a professional artist.
Although this does make for trickier recording conditions so bear with me on this as I gradually work out better setups for filming on location.
Feel free to mute and put on your own music to draw along with, the goal is enjoyment, not judgment. Be kind to yourself, every journey has a starting point and you never stop learning when it comes to drawing, me very much included.
As always I’d love to see your drawings inspired by these videos so please tag and share on social media using @lukeadamhawker #drawwithluke #LukeAdamHawker

Really enjoyed following along in real time with this one. Such a great subject to draw. I think I'm might have a go at the pillboxes that are local to me. Thanks for the inspiration.

What an amazing drawing! I love your art. I imagine this loose style to be a lot harder to learn than detail-loving accuracy. Perhaps you could in future videos give some more advice on simplifying the object?
Thank you for this rich bag of advice
