i was just listening to the soundtrack of the video game bloodbourn and it reminded me of this movie's soundtrack, the style is very similar imo. but bloodbourn is just a bit more sinister sounding.
This movie deserved the best mix award in the 2000's oscar awards.
Don't you guys love that effect, when you listen to the soundtrack of the movie, and the movie plays in your mind instantly, reminding you of what was happening in each scene?
❤❤❤❤❤
I listened to this soundtrack during my first trip to Egypt. It was simply magical.
Love it. I listen to the Jurassic park and lost world OST and it does the same thing for me
Absolutely! Especially during the final scene
That's what art is especially music. It compliments the relevant scenes. Unfortunately, nowadays, we don't mostly see that.
One of the absolute best adventure films. My childhood! I used to repeat and parody all the Ancient Egyptian lines LOL
Oh O'conell, you always had more balls than brains ... hehe
Omg we are same bro 😂😂😭
👏 👏 👏... 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 Classical Film
This is the main reason I love Egyptian mythology and Egyptian so much
I used to pretend I was Brendan Frazier chasing the mummy with a torch on the kindergarten playground. Then my teacher put me in timeout and I still don’t know why. Felt bad man
One of my top 5 scores. Goldsmiths work in the 90s was incredible
Да это верно, я постоянно пересматриваю этот фильм, щас так не снимают, эх хотелось бы обратно всех этих героев , чтобы сняли продолжения на египетскую тему❤
The lower pitched interpretation of the leitmotif at 19:07 - 19:15 is so good. Just pure evil!
8:45 'Imhotep! My priest! AAAAAH!'
I was hearing all it in my mind 😅
Also reminds me of a scene from 'Deep Rising'
One of my faaaavorite movies of all time.
Mine 2😉👍
4:10~ Camel race

Oh my goodness! Thank you so much for creating this! I asked for this on your Dinosaur video - thank you, thank you, thank you!!!
Glad you like it!
New technologies won't always help you achieve the best results. You still need creativity and heart in making art. This is what the difference is between Mummy 1999 and Mummy 2017.
I had forgotten how much this soundtrack slaps.
Truly a timeless classic!
Thank you so much for sharing this. One of the best adventure movies of all time!!!
Thank you sooooo much

Really really cool OST, great job "maestro" Goldsmith
Rumor has it that Brandon Fraser wants the 4th movie 😍 I hope they will released it in 2024 cause that would be the perfect year for the 4th sequence
God that would be so good, but it seems unlikely unfortunately
@@thatonerotom8999 if the creator’s ever did bring the franchise back? What title it should be called?????
After what they did with the 3rd, I hope not 😢 They ruined it
I pretend that movie doesn't exist lol

Making this the soundtrack of Ancient Egypt is equivelent to me playing the Irish Bagpipes as a soundtrack to a Western Cowboy movie.. im gona let that sink for a bit for all the people that grew up on this just to realize what the hell they were listening to
And? Every movie is scored based on impressions. Almost no movie is scored period accurate or authentic to the music of the place or time. As if there were symphony orchestras playing Copelandeque music in the old west yet that’s what westerns usually sound like.
you couldn't have sounded more pretentious if you tried lmao nice!
@drlca6601 if facts r pretentious to u then u have a bigger deeper issue..
Ok i take it back. You sounded even more pretentious... Well done!@@thebicycleman8062
enlighten us on ancient egyptian music then snob
assassin creed origin
tomb raider indiana jones uncharted
moon knight
there is that constant sound of a plucking baglamas which is sooooooo stupid coz that instrument was NEVER EVER related to North Africa or Egypt - and for them to make it a constant main lead instrument is soooo dumb - as a kid listening to this I never understood why the music has NOTHING to do with Anicent Egypt - then I grew up and realized "oh western people in general just don't bother actually trying to get it right, they jus imagine wht they THINK old music from north africa may be like.
I think you miss the point of the music to the movie, it is not representative of ancient Egypt as much as it flows with the movie itself. It is beautiful music to be enjoyed.
Not to mention that the movie is being experienced by the characters in the movie who are not ancient Egyptians. This argument is silly. It’s like saying that a movie taking place in prehistoric days should sound like animal roars. There was NO musical identity for the period so it’s up to the composer to create a score that helps the audience to experience the movie the way THEY would experience the situation.
repetitive
Yeah. It’s called a theme. Something almost missing from scores nowadays.
