They're known as primulas or polyanthus -all flowers work slightly differently but I think different coloured primulas are by far the easiest to get an effect from.
Thank you for showing so many examples!! Great inspirations!
Thanks for watching!
Stunning !!!! May I ask what you use as a sealant to protect the picture!!! I’d like to make a Mother’s Day card on 140lb paper.
Love, love, love the technique. And the background music was happy making experience all the way around.
I have never heard of this technique before, I’ll definitely incorporate it into my paintings, thanks so much for showing us how to do it.

May I ask what tool you were using to scrap off the smashed flower bits when you were done, please? T. Y.
I think it is a paint brush
Do you need to seal the paper? Will it keep well? I really like this. Thank you so much. 🌼🌻❤
No need
Christina, did you use watercolor paper?? Just wondering if it picks up the colors better..... Thank you. Great job.
Watercolour paper is stronger but any paper will take the transfer of colour.
Can you spray the finished picture with something to prevent it from fading?
Basically,it's the equivalent of a grass stain so best to frame your pic and keep it away from sunlight!
Are they colorfast?
Kinda- have you ever tried getting grass stains out ?
@@ChristinasArtClasses lol...I get it
