In 2 weeks we will go op Col Raiser again. We been there in 2007 with rain and a little of snow early September. Hope fpr better weather this time. We intend to climb to the Seceda, doing the same trip you did but with a cheaper starting point😂 it's 60 Euros vs 90.
If we do Seceda in the first part of the day, what other trail will you recommend for the 2-nd part of the day? Can Seceda be done in the same day with Sassolungo or is too much? Thank you 🙏
Doing the full hike for both trails in one day would be quite a lot, and is not necessary. You definitely can do both in one day. However, you don’t need to do the whole trail on seceda to see everything, the best view is from the gondola station.
My husband and I can't wait to do this hike during our honeymoon in the Dolomites, it looks epic. I don't see the alltrails link in the description, do you mind linking it again?
Sorry about that, I’ve added it to the description for you. If you have any other questions about the hike or the dolomites in general let us know! We’re happy to share anything we can to make your trip amazing 😁
I can use some help planing my trip. I am planning to go to Seceda on May 23rd. It looks like most of the cable cars will not be in service except for Col Raiser. Any idea how long is the hike from the Col Raiser cable car arrival station to Seceda? I will arrive in the early afternoon so I am worried about not making it back in time for the last cable car at 5 pm. Thank you!
The climb from col raiser station to the seceda station is 500m over 4km. It’s quite steep in places but should take about an hour. This is the full loop we did, which took 3.5 hours. The cable car does not operate until May 31st. If you want to visit seceda before then You will need to hike all the way up. There may still be snow and ice in places, check with the tourist information before you hike to see if the trails are even open.
If there are no cable cars running when you go this is likely your best bet: Santa Cristina - Rifugio Firenze - Seceda on AllTrails www.alltrails.com/en-gb/trail/italy/south-tyrol/santa-cristina-rifugio-firenze-seceda But this is a much bigger hike than we did, over 1,000m of elevation gain if you don’t have the option to use the gondola.
@@trailtalestravelyes , I'll see it if we can get through it , we are very amateur hiker too 😂. The last mountain we try is the blue crater of mount ijen in East Java . But I think seceda have more walkable trails .

Wow great content! Writing skills and drone videography, both were impressive!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Excellent - I also love the Dolomites and uploaded a video of Seceda very recently ! Wishing you well on your travels and hikes (have subscribed).

@@trailtalestravelThank you! If you will have to choose between these two, which one will be preferred?

@@trailtalestravel thanks for your answer . Do you have the trail map for an easy hike to seceda ? I'll go there by a car
