    Hi! Just another gorgeous video and an interesting hut contest! My wife and I always come skiing on these mountains in winter. Sophie Huette in Winter is one of our favourites, but to be honest, Alpe di Siusi (Seiserhalm) is a bit too flat for alpine skiers and is certainly very charming and appealing in summertime with its beautiful meadows! So, no really fair competition for sure! Many thanks for sharing!

      Thank you for watching! Please check before you go, or for winter hours.The last three summers the road was closed between 9 and 5 for the general public cars going up the mountain. You may come down the mountain in a car at any time. There are two cable cars that also bring visitors to the meadows during the day. Enjoy your trip!

    Beautiful videos of a lovely place. We visited some of these same places a couple of years ago, took many pics and videos but some got deleted by mistake.. wanted to request if I may use a few secs bits of your scenery footage from this video for my Dolomites trip montage? Thank you so much in advance..

      So happy to hear this brought back good memories! Thank you for watching. We're sorry to hear your photography got deleted! If you're creating something private for you and your immediate family, of course you can use a few seconds of scenery to fill in what you lost. If you're pulling together your own TH-cam travel, other video/vlog, or photography to post publicly we ask you not to use our footage. Do you think you'll go back to the Dolomites?

    Thank you very much for the video. We are planning to fly over End of May - I hope the huts are open. Which hike did you prefer and how long are the hikes all together? Troier Hut, Sofie hut and then back down with the Gondola from which you started? Or did you like the Seiser Alm better? By the way, which one of you speaks German? Thank you for you hiking descriptions. Best regards from SoCal. -- Cheers.

      Have a great time on your trip to the Dolomites! We always go to both Seceda (steep, dramatic views) and Seiser Alm (majestic, open space) as they are pretty different. And we spend a whole day on each. You can check the webcams to help decide what looks most promising in May, as the snow conditions over the winter will influence the start of spring and summer in the Alps. Most of the huts have a website or there are very good tourist offices in Ortisei and Selva if you need help with opening hours and suggestions. Before going to the Seiser Alm, if by car, please check the opening hours of the road in the upward direction is closed by mid-morning and only open again in the early evening. Going down by car there are no restrictions.

      @@happygoluckytravel Great to hear from you! Thank you for your response, it was much appreciated. We're planning a trip to the Dolomites in September, and stumbled across your amazing video which showed us so much we didn't know before. We're not quite sure how to navigate the trail and find the alpine huts from A to Z.
      Much appreciated.

      Have a wonderful trip! All the huts are detailed in the description/details section of the video if you click MORE at the title. To navigate the trails, stop at the tourist office at any of the villages in Val Gardena and they will give you a free hiking map and any advice you need. You can also ask them the opening hours of the huts as these can change depending on the season. Enjoy your time!

      @@happygoluckytravel they are all easily accessible? Travelling with kids

    • @happygoluckytravel
      @happygoluckytravel  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Depends on your kids -- we did see many families on the trails. Seiser Alm is easier, especially if you take the Panorama chairlift up from Compatch, then the walking is mostly across and down the meadow. Gostner, Tuene and Rauch huts are on the Seiser Alm.
      For the Seceda area, you can take the Aerial tram from Ortisei to the top of the mountain and walk down to Troier or Sofie. Then you can keep walking down to the Col Riser gondola, ride to the bottom, and bus back to Ortisei. The route we took in the video starting at the top of the Col Riser gondola, going up to the huts was the same as 100 flights of stairs.
