    Love my High and Dry waders. I bought em two years ago after seeing Joel Strickland's video on Best Waders. True to his word, they are the best waders to date. I have 3 pairs of Banded, a Cabelas neoprene, and another top brand or two. They all leak at the seams - not from punctures. 2+ Seasons now -No leaks anywhere. Very glad for the Kevlar knee pads as yesterday pulling the boat out, my knee went across a sharp piece of metal that protects the tail lights. I heard the sound of ripping and expected a cold water rush. NOPE! it was the metal grinding over the Kevlar knee patches.- wow no leak or tear.
    They are right - most comfortable boots out there.
    I do hate the old two back strap suspenders. I sewed the cross strap at the top of my waders to keep em from sliding down my shoulder, but still don't like em. Glad you went to the Y type strap
    Wish I had the zipper waders cause as I get older or maybe the volume of coffee, I need to take a leak more often. Getting undressed in rain and snow - not so much fun!
    Now, I do love the waders but they don't need changing/wear out, every year or two and I cannot bring myself to buy new waders just for the zipper and new suspenders for my convenience. Especially when I have 5 other sets on the rack that leak a little.
    Great waders, Thanks Joel Strickland, "Surviving Duck Season" for introducing em to me (as well as so many of your video tips - thanks
    Golden Boy, noticed on earlier videos he was wearing High and Dry. Great person to have wearing the waders - always positive guy. Great hunter and video producer - keep finding new places and making new videos

    God yeah! I bought a pair of high and dry at the beginning of last season and they are amazing! I used to use Cabela's armor Flex before Cabela's sold out to Bass Pro Shops and the quality became crap and there were no more lifetime warranties. So I was looking for a pair of waders that were really tough and I was directed to high and dry. I was a little skeptical because they didn't have a coating like armor Flex or Cordura but they are amazing. I don't have The Zipper ones I just have the regular neoprene

    Neoprene Lacrosse from the mid 90's were as tuff as they come. A little hot, but they flat out lasted.

    Just got a pair this season. Had a question before I ordered and it was answered by the owner in less than an hour. First pair of breathable waders and I love ‘Em.

    I fell for the high and dry super durable waders. I got them 2023 at the start of teal season. Now Jan 10th, 2024. Front velcro is completely coming off, wader belt holders in the back are coming apart, front knee guards are ripped, and multiple holes. Was wet as a dog today!

      Sorry to hear that man, your the first bad experience ive heard with the zippered. Every product has a certain percentage of failures. Give the customer service a call and they will take care of you. Some of the best in the business

    I bought my son a cheap pair of waders as it's our first season to ever duck hunt neither one of us ever has, I was given some waders and am grateful the only problem is the boots 2 sizes to big. Maybe one day I can afford a pair they look nice

    Maybe when my waders need replaced. Been looking at high and dry waders but when I needed em they were out of stock so I went elsewhere. Maybe next time.
    Definitely like the strap idea. That's the problem I have with my breathables. Fully adjusted and straps still too long, had to tie a knot in them
    Ever think about doing a what's on my lanyard video?

    How do the top of the boots fit? (Where the boots connect to the wader) I’ve got 21” calves and it seems no one makes a wader with a boot opening big enough unless I only wear shorts. Tuffing it out with my Roger’s Waders right now but they almost cut the circulation off in my legs they are so tight, lol. Wish wader companies listed the boot opening circumference in their measurements

    • @ChasingGreen
      @ChasingGreen  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Im not sure on that as i wouldnt say i have big calves. But i know you could email or call hnd and they would definitely let you know of they have a fit for you.

    I want to get a pair of these, but all the pictures the pockets look low to me. I hunt a couple of spots where the water comes dam near over my waders. My roger eilte has a hole and looming for new pair. When you said you been in chest deep water do the hand warmer pockets get wet?

    • @ChasingGreen
      @ChasingGreen  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      You can adjust pretty easily to draw up higher but if you in titty deep water they are going to gett wet. You can only get them so high.

    How baggy are the waders? I’m not a small guy, but a lot of waders I’ve tried seem to be very loose.

    I got my hodges neoprene waders from a fire department that was throwing them away because they got new ones and these had been patched a few times. Those waders finally gave out on me after 4 seasons. Im lost on what to buy because i loved them so much and i dont want to buy new waders every season

    how do you layer the high n dry waders for cold weather? I have the regular breathables and I freeze just because i’m not used to not having insulation.

    • @ChasingGreen
      @ChasingGreen  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I just wear 3 layers almost every morning. A merino wool base layer, standard thermals, and then jeans and i never get cold unless im standing in waist deep water for hours at a time, in which case neoprene would be a better option. But i hunt in single digit temps regularly and never get cold. I will add, i love cold weather. If its extremely cold, i add jogging pants over all that.

  • @reddog270ss
    @reddog270ss 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    So what do you wear under your waders being they are not insulated? I made the switch to breathable this year but have the rogers 2n1 elite with zip out insulation. So far no complaints I wear wader pants or some type.of fast dry jogger/tech pant thickness depends on temp.

      @ChasingGreen ty for reply. I have gone away from wearing jeans as they make you cold and restrict movement and blood flow but the wool base layer and wader pants might be OK for me

    You said pockets and hand warmer are chest hi but vid looks like just above the waist. Does the hand warmer.pocket fill with water in just above waist water level?

    • @ChasingGreen
      @ChasingGreen  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You can quickly adjust to have them higher, i wear mine at that level because that is where they sit best for normal conditions. If im going through high water, i adjust strap. But no, ive never gotten them wet

    What’s your opinion on these compared to sitka or chene? I own neither but was just wondering. Going on my third season with the lacrosse alpha agility waders. Had to do quite a bit of aquaseal work on the crotch seams earlier this year but no other issues.

    • @ChasingGreen
      @ChasingGreen  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      3 seasons is pretty solid nowadays. I havnt worn sitka or chene but have had lots of friends that have. Definitely quality waders. Just too high of a price tag for the same quality as i get out of high n dry. The lifetime warranty is great but ive heard it takes awhile to fix during duck season so I'd still need a backup pair for if i have to send them in for repair, which from what ive heard, i have to pay for. I can buy 3 pair of the hnd non zippered for that and be good for over a decade lol

    What would you recommend for hunting in Texas? If they are too cold for late season in the Midwest could you get away with wearing wading pants under them to stay warm? Also in relation to your regular shoe size what size would you recommend? Thanks!

    • @ChasingGreen
      @ChasingGreen  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Well there not too cold for late season in the midwest, ive worn them in single digit snow days multiple times so yes i think you will be more than fine in texas. For me they fit true to size on boot. I wear same wader size as i do shoe. I would ask them though if your a half
