i am in shock!! why this clear illustrative video has really small amount of views! i don't understand... this comment i dedicate to your future success. thanks a lot!
for some reason i could solve my rotation problems by googling a lot. but having a full explanaition video which can be used as reference to know how the methods actually work and in which case they are more convenient than others, this video is a really good guide. good job
your website and videos explaination is so great and clear one thing that is really cool is when some technical details are needed as background for one tutorial and many tutorials may not cover it but sometimes explaining them is really useful for example in Raycast tutorial in your blog when the "out" keyword of C# explained to have a better understanding of Raycast funtction. good luck keep this up!
Hey man thanks for this! I was recently messing with rotations in my game, and it was not fun 😅. I used all sorts of built-in functions and properties like .EularAngles or Rotate() but didn't really know what I was doing. So this video clears things up a lot, thanks!
you are tutorials King i already know the concepts which u posted videos on but when i see those vidoes i'm learning new thing for every minute. Amazing work can u do the Tutorial on Animations Different types of patterns DoTween. i knew there are lot of Videos on Animations but i belive when u make a video that is top of all
Your video was so useful, im trying to do a worms type game and i didin't knew how to make the gun rotate around a point instead of rotating on his center.
Liked your video! I'm new to programming and trying to build a cube game. Could you make a video that shows when onmousedown it rotates to a side and onmousedown again shows a different side and continues the process to the last side.
Hello. Anyone have a simple sitting on chair tutorial in unity?Like there will be an arrow on top of the chair and when you click or trigger it you will sit on chair or something similar. My problem is I don't sit on chair I sit in front of it while facing it.Anyone know how I can rotate my character before I sit? Thank you
if i place my object i want to rotate under the parent object i want to rotate around, the center of the parent object simply snaps to that of the child object, how do i fix this?
all I want is the rotate tool, just like the default move tool, to change once the rotation of the light source once, for workflow reasons, before I export the model from unity and never look back at unity again😭 In Blender you just clock "r" and it rotates :c
It's literally impossible to find. Everyone talks about everything and writes functions in c++ or c# idk. I literally just want to learn how to get those three circles to rotate the object once in the scene editor xDDD Maybe I'll ask GPT
Unity needs to hire you for tutorials on their official channel

Great to hear it helped!
Which one of these would be best to rotate my character's vertical axis of rotation to a slope?
Awesome video

i have the same issue

6:43 How do you see those red, blue, green circles around the object?
It's literally impossible to find.

Rotate tool in the top left corner, second next to the hand symbol, just above the Hierarchy window on my default settings for Unity 2019.sth.sth
Like any normal person, I just destroy the original object and recreate it with the new rotation, each frame.
how is this free!? THANK YOU
Wait this great tutorial isn't made by unity
am I the only one that thinks it's extremely stupid that X is the vertical axis?
BÆÑŅĄŇÆ ŘŒŢÆȚƏ
by god this is confusing
