Eel might just be one of the most underrated dishes in Vietnam. Today, I’m going down to the Mekong Delta to meet a guy who’s not only been catching these eels his whole life, but he does it all while blind. He’s blind, but when it comes to eel hunting, he’s got it down better than most.
We’re trekking through rice fields, setting traditional traps, and seeing how this guy survives off the land with nothing but his instincts. It’s raw, real, and damn impressive. After the hunt, I’m gonna dive into a feast of eel dishes-from the classic eel noodle soup in Hanoi to steaming big, meaty eels in bamboo.
This isn’t your usual food episode-it’s about resilience, tradition, and a seriously inspiring story of how one man makes a living against the odds.
Great video as always but the music in between different sections is too loud.
Your videos are just truly OTC, out of this space. I love the rawness, the poisons, the dangers, the whole craziness that makes you unique. Looking for Tarantulas, Monkey Brains etc
This was reuploaded to fix the weird freeze at 2:13 or thereabouts from the previous version.
Hi Andrew: thanks for yet another excellent video. Hugh respect for the blind eel fisherman and kudos to your enthusiastic guide…..and good to see your subs growing. Hope you will hit 200K very soon.
Awesomeness 👌....watching from Kenya 🇰🇪
She's amazing ❤
Looks delicious! Didn't know Hanoi has eels. Usually get the unagi dishes from Japan here. Lylla provided some interesting commentary to the dish too!
This man is an absolute inspiration.
What a fucking legend!
Did you find this lady through Max McFarlin?
Another wonderful video Andrew!! Keep knocking them out of the park!
as a few others have said the music is a problem id probably just ditch it all together man I like ure stuff but it takes away from it doesnt add to it keep it up though just an honest suggestion if you do decide to keep it definitely turn it down a bit, other than that keep up the great content!
Huge respect to that blind guy. When there is a will there is a way.
Music should be softer when you are talking. Music during transition is too loud.
ALL the comments from last night are gone, including mine ✝️🐢
They use to be very cheap when they use to be plentiful
They are way slimy, but they make great catfish bait. I need to eat some.
freshwater eels here in australia are amazing but no one really eats them
Your content is getting better every new vids!
The music is too loud. It’s hard to hear you.
Temu version of Sonny 😂

Love your videos.

She is absolutely delightful! I love the energy your guide brought to the video.
Hey Andrew chú Dũng has the southern accent. You are in Hanoi. I don’t think they ship the eels from the south to the north
It’s kind of confuse me.
Chu Dung was filmed in the south. He mentioned that he is near the Mekong. When he eat with the girl it was in hanoi
❤
Unsubbed because annoying music
Have not had Ell in some time ,But never like that ....
For sure it's a must Try...Thank You Andrew
