i don't understand why people keeps saying you can get through small and medium gigs with that, if you are playing in a stadium or a bar its loud enough, EVERYONE mics up their cabs when playing bigger venues so the size is irrelevant

This always gets me too, I don't get why more people haven't caught on. When I first started gigging 2017 I lugged around my 4x12 half stack and once mic'd I quickly realized a 30 watt supro or hot rod deluxe was pretty much going to cover every live situation I was ever going to be put in. So far it has held up to be pretty true.

I think they’re just trying to give you a sound reference without running through the venues PA. So when you walk in to a place on tour and the PA is 2 of the cheapest speakers from guitar center, you know how much volume this thing is gonna have

In my town growin up(mid 90’s) , PA’s were complete junk. We used cranked unmic’d half stacks and the PA was for vocals only, drummer was usually some guy who just played too hard, and I’m not saying it was better. Mix sucked. We just didnt have todays tech. Or any knowledge about audio at all

@@Ottophil right, and pete townsend needed huge marshall stacks for the stadium to hear him, i get that, i understand that just a few years ago you needed those amps, but today a small amp and a mic sound as loud as a marshall stack does when its mice'd up and mixed correctly

How is it with headphones? my old combo amp is dead (electronics) and i wish to use the speaker as a cab and this as a head, but also use headphones.

Have the Micro Terror with the PPC108. I wish i had the PPC112 because the 8" speaker on the small one leaves a lot to be desired on the bass side of things. Good volume and sound on highs and mids, but the 12" speaker in this cab sounds more full and well rounded.

Just get a micro dark with another 8" cab and run aby box and your set

I have one. Too bad the cab isn’t real wood. It sounds better through a 4x10 or 4x12.

    What about for blues?

Orange is great for blues. Throw a Wampler Tumnus in the mix and you're good to go. My guitarist (I'm a bassist) borrowed mine during a gig. We're a blues band.
