One thing I've noticed about CC (and probably why the Fever started so slow and have built momentum as her and Aliyah Boston continue to work together) is that her pass game is unreal to the point that it's actually kind of too fast for the WNBA. And she is showing she can be a triple double threat , she had 2 other times already this season where she was only a rebound away from a triple double before finally getting it vs NY .
Also , some try to say that Clark wasn't known until Reese waved her hand at her, taunting her , Clark was known well before that with all those deep three's she was taking .

Caitlin Clark is getting better and better. The past five games, she has been averaging 11.6 assists, 7.4 rebounds, two steals, and 16.6 points. Crissy Sides is beginning to allow Caitlin to run & gun without restraining her. Wait until her scoring production goes up into the 20 point range. This team is about to explode! The only possibility they won't reach their potential is if Sides slows down the offense & alternates point guard positions. Keep Caitlin away from the 2-guard spot!!! This is going to be the All-American team. Caitlin, Boston & Mitchell are going to be unstoppable soon. Of course, there is a factual narrative of jealousy, vindictiveness & the desire by people to want her to fail. The white & black division they are trying to create is not working.

And now you see why there is a legit Clark Effect - her play has led to her teams' games breaking many all-time records in attendance and tv ratings for both college and the WNBA. And here is Clark's most impressive collge stat, plus the most impressive thing she did in college imho (EDITED for a typo):
    - She is the only college player ever to rank in the top 50 all-time in both scoring and assists - and not just top 50, but she's #1 in scoring and #3 in assists.
    - She led her Iowa teams to back-to-back national championship games with much less talent than every single team they played from the Elite 8-onwards in both years. No team with such a talent gap/deficit had ever done that before.
I can back all of this up with her all-time stats and rankings, plus player recruiting rankings/stars for everyone who played on all of her and those other aforementioned teams, bc I did all the research myself, but I've previously posted about this a bunch under her some of her college vids, plus I don't want to make this particular post an essay.

You can watch a lot of CC on you tube. You got to watch the game against NY when she got the triple double and broke Lady Birds record for double double (pts and assists); or against Phoenix when she broke someone's ankle

I saw that play. I guess that is an expression for a move that throws your defender off their feet, in that case, their ankles clashed.

She’s doing all of this in the WNBA while being full court pressed and double teamed every single game 😄. Opposing coaches treat her like it’s their elimination game because she’s on another level lol.

Man his reaction to seeing Caitlin for the first time was hilarious. The thing about her is she's the complete package. I watched the triple double game. The Liberty was killing it. I thought for sure after she got the triple double the Fever would lose. If you don't bury CC and let her hang around she will kill you. Her passing was sick. Boston and Mitchell are really stepping up.

Brother, I’m 71 and have never watched a WNBA game in my life…until I started following Caitlin Clark at Iowa. I’m an old Laker Fan. Elgin Baylor was my favorite player back then. From Los Angeles! Like you, I have lost my NBA thing…but I am DVRing the Fever 😂 to watch Caitlin Clark! 🤣 Hey…I really enjoyed your reaction! Great job!!! 👏 She sure makes it fun again!!!

What she did in college was absolutely spectacular and was at the top of her game and ability in that league, what she’s doing in the WNBA is almost more impressive in how she’s figuring out what she has to do to get her team an identity and start winning, in the pros!! She inspires me.

This is why people love Caitlin. This is why I became a fan. Her haters try to say we only like her because she's white. I literally never thought about her race until haters started constantly bringing it up. They also say all she does is shoot 3s. As you can see in this video she's a 3 level scorer. She can score from anywhere, and she's a great passer. She's Steph Curry mixed with Bron and Steve Nash passing wise in my opinion. That's why we love her game. Haters are blind to that.

    • @gphillimo
      @gphillimo 12 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

She's also the most heavily guarded player in the WNBA. They pick her up all 94 feet. She's the most doubled and triple teamed player as well. All this as a rookie because teams are so afraid of her cooking them. Even with how they guard her she is still 2nd in the WNBA in assist, and top 15 in scoring.

  • @williamcarr7347

I'm like you! I'm an NFL diehard. Love MLB. But, not a basketball fan. And, in the past, women's basketball was embarrassing to watch. They just weren't good. But NOW? OMG! About 2 years ago, my niece told me I have to watch women's college ball because they were ballin' like never before. And, the first time I watched I was so impressed. There is no difference between men & women's basketball anymore. These ladies look so smooth out there. But . . I still wasn't that interested until now. All this Caitlin Clark, Angel Reese buzz got me watching and Caitlin is incredible to watch. They're all pretty incredible. It's a whole new WNBA with these new ladies.

I heard the hype a few months ago and thought...eh...women's basketball is a joke. Perhaps it used to be pretty bad because I tried watching it years ago--it was embarrassing. Caitlin Clark has reminded me how much I used to love watching basketball back in the day. The WMBA has definitely improved from years ago, but Caitlin Clark is on another level. She reminds me of when Jordan came into the league in the 80s. He had plenty of haters back then, but look at his legacy. Caitlin is having a similar impact to Jordan, and I'm enjoying every moment of it.

She's a jaw-dropping game changer, just like Steph Curry was at Davidson. And much like Steph, Caitlin is a stand-up, class act human being. Her WNBA detractors are having a hard time explaining her success. It's taking a long time, but they're starting to get it. Watching Caitlin Clark play basketball is like watching The Warning play rock and roll live. You won't forget it.

For those of use who have played basketball for some time in out lives and watched NBA greats. it doesn't take but a few plays to recognize a great player. The Media can hype a player but those of know what BS they are.
Clarks NCAA career is because she was the best player on her team of average college players. She needed to be the scorer. In the WNBA her roles is to be much more then a shooter. Once she get more comfortable of her role on the court her all around game will be more important. She needs to mix-up going left or right and improve her mid-range game.
The only problem is not all great players become great because of issue on and off the court.
