Very similar to my childhood. I grew up in the woods, and had bears and all kinds of animals over the years. My land, became a reserve for the bear. She returned every so often to have cubs. Farmer shot the mother to supposedly protect their cattle. The young still come to have their cubs, as my father does not hunt. The bears eat the moles on his septic bed, to help remove them and from doing damage.
I am Métis, so i have no nation. From all nations, but no rites as i have blue eyes and look white man in winter. I darken in the sun, but the racism follows. I was picked on for being black boy in august, white boy in winter, and of course red man in summer...
Thank you for the knowledge you pass on to the young generations. You are wise and retained a lot as I can tell by how you tell the songs of old.

That’s what I was thinking. My grandparents said they were brainwashed by the boarding schools. My grandpa was starved and chain bed too a radiator for speaking Ojibwa in church with his cousin. He said he need get spoke Ojibwa after that again. My grandma didn’t start speaking Ojibwa till she got dementia. My grandma knew Lakota but by the Time I was older, all her relatives that she spoke with had passed because she lived in MPLS and started her own family where she raised her kids. Idk if her husband, my grandpa spoke fluent or not but he probably did. I’m thinking he did anyways, I know he went to boarding school tho

The story contains several layers of meaning, including themes of transformation, acceptance, and the interconnectedness of all beings. The woman-bear is a symbol of the wildness and unpredictability of nature, and her relationship with the man and the boy represents the possibility of bridging the gap between human and animal worlds.
When the man dies, the bear takes his soul to the spirit world, showing that the connection between the human and natural worlds extends beyond death. The story highlights the importance of respecting and living in harmony with nature, and the belief that humans and animals are all part of a greater whole. It also speaks to the transformative power of love and acceptance, and the idea that we are all capable of growth and change.

What does it mean? I have to admit I have a very long way to go spiritually... but this is another story of the great circle of life? Maybe I think this because I helped my parents until they transcended.

I have found my soul mate as well brother and she calls herself Mama bear. When I was in kindergarten sitting in class the first day in Hawaii the teacher gave us a worksheet and explained how to do the math problems so I started doing the worksheet as everyone's hands went up asking for help as I did the problems and when the teacher stood over my shoulder she ripped me back out my chair and threw me on the floor I didnt understand why I was just doing what she asked, I told my mother about it that night, and the next day my Mother went and showed her what it meant to be a Mama bear I never saw that teacher again and was afraid to do well and I changed a little towards adults I think if I remember correctly we moved back to Portland Oregon where I was born next to the Willamette river when I was 7. We moved to Hawaii when I was 6 months old my Mom is Hawaiian Philipino German and Portugese she went back to be with family, My Grandma on my Dads side told me I have Norwegian French Canadian, German Blackfoot, and Black my Heritage is rich and when my Mother passed away she left jewelry for us to choose from and I picked a broken broach of a turtle with a moonstone mounted in it and I put it on a pooka shell necklace my mother wore. My Grandma on my Mothers side used to travel the World as a young woman doing Hula shows and my family lived on Molokai
Thank you again brother much love

Reincarnation. He put this out story out because he knew a certain someone would find it. He worded and explained it for that person to understand. Listen to the rest of the stories they are all told much differently than this one and listen to what he says at the end “What do we learn from a story such as this ask yourself what does it mean what do i have to take away from this story you’ll understand when you think about it…..”
