Scarlet is such a great character, it is sad that she didn't get more screen time. On top of that she only has one support...really? I mean, picture her having supports with Hana and Hinoka? I could see her being great friends. Can I also say I hate that they tease Ryoma and Scarlet being into each other when they cannot support.
I personally proffer all the birthright characters over conquest characters. For some reason I just didn't find Conquest as enjoyable, not because it was harder, I'm fine with hard.
I'm liking the added touches you're making to your videos, makes them seem a tad more professional while not losing any character. Yeah, I have to say I prefer the Nohrian cast over the Hoshidan one. Not to say there aren't Hoshidans I like (The ninja trio, Oboro, Rinkah, Kaden, Azama, Ryoma and Takumi to name a few), but I found many more Nohrians I liked. So, based on what you've said, Leo's your favourite Dark Knight, Ryoma, Takumi and Xander are in the running for your favourite of those classes, Effie, Camilla and Oboro are your second favourite of those classes, and I'm not sure how Charlotte or Elise rank among your favourites of those ones, while everyone else either isn't quite in the running or is a new class.
Yeah, although the absence that surprised ME was Orochi... Mostly because I thought her personality would appeal to him; then again, I also didn't see Takumi being lower than Kagero (who I too love as a character), although I was at least right in terms of assuming that Oboro would be on the list - and high at that. :-D I'm so glad that for all his jokes about being "butt-hurt", he really does appreciate Takumi as a complex character AND as a highly-useful unit, even admitting that he's on the fence about whether the younger prince of Hoshido is better than Shinon or not. And you can tell that he's going to use the "Revelation"-exclusive Supports and such to inform his opinion about how the characters from the game rank as a whole; Azura had better be HIGH on that list, because there's SO much about her that we learn there which makes her one of the best. FE. Characters. EVER. Scarlet, though, was definitely a pleasant surprise in my eyes; I thought for sure her limited characterisation and lack of Supports (THANK you, CRASH, for pointing out the thing with Ryoma! Gods, IntSys, can you PLEASE stop making these limited Support pools?!) would keep her off, but it seems she shone pretty brightly all things considered... That made my night, since Scarlet's treatment in the other routes has me pretty salty at the BEST of times. OTOH, I'm still scratching my head trying to figure out why everyone loves Setsuna so much. I mean she's eccentric, but she's not THAT interesting... if anything, I for one find Azama the more interesting of Hinoka's retainers (even though admittedly his daughter also helps his case), and even THEN I prefer the other 6 Hoshidan retainers. It's ironic, really: I like Hinoka despite not having a GREAT love for her retainers, but for the Nohrian older sister, Camilla, I like Beruka and Selena a whole lot despite not loving their liege as much... Go figure; especially since Severa was in the lower half of the "Awakening" children, the fact that her more mature and kinder (but still kind of prickly) personality in "Fates" made her a character I adore was a pleasant surprise.
What I like about fates is that a lot of the characters get more screentime in the main story. It's not like 'Hey, nice to join you. See you in the supports!'. Saizo and Kaze are probably the best in that regard. But just having a lot of characters be mini bosses with dialoge in the opposite routes is great. I like Takumi and Leo more than their older brothers. It just feels like they are on a equal level to Corrin. While Ryoma and Xander are great characters, the younger brothers just have more chemistry with other characters.

Well that's an interesting question since I feel birthright is the weakness path but has the least flaws and is the best path for new FE fans, conquest is the overall best path on a technical level since it does the best in most areas, and though revelations is a bit of a mixed bag, it's my overall favourite pathway because of the access to all the characters and level design (which I know the fe fan base cannot stand for the life on them).
Ryouma disappointed me so much. Maybe because I was expecting him to be as interesting as Xander and I found him boring. His only saving grace for me was his OP-ness
I honestly don't know how you say the characters in Hoshido don't come close to Nohr characters. I think of it as the opposite. But I guess we have different... Opinions..........
Yuno is only waifu I can agree that there are some Nohr characters I really like, such as Odin, Selena, Laslow and Peri, but I still honestly think the birthright class is better. Especially the royals. I hate, and I mean HATE Camilla. And no, not because she's fan service. I only think her design and a small bit of her personality is.

I would like to see things from the other side of the spectrum though, maybe you could fill me in on some on your favorite supports so I can better get a view on what differentiates our opinions so.
I think Conquest have the better characters, but I think Birthright has the better story. (Also because she's DLC, when you come to all three paths characters will you include Anna or not in that list?)
Those are gimmicks and plot devices, takumi getting possessed was Iago's thing not his, also the tsundere thing is old and shirty, Subaki is perfect but does mistakes, totally not like they ripped off some characters from past games, right? Hoshido had the weaker cast IMO, a lot of them just felt like rejected character personalities that didn't make it into awakening, that being said however, when birthright nails a character, they nail it right on the head, TL;DR birthright's characters are a mixed bag of great and terrible.

Great list and awesome editing! I personally would've put characters like Azama and Hinata in over Setsuna and Hana, but it's nice seeing someone else take on the characters.
I personally feel that Hoshido in general was a tad bit on the Marry sue side. for example Corrin's mom somehow managed to make a barrier that stops enemies from wanting to fight in Hoshido (though i forget if they kept that in the American version since i kinda was a little skip happy when watching let's plays of birthright.) as well as them being so prosperous and kind a bunch of nobles can fix Nohr's food shortage just like that as well as some other problems that i had with this side of the story
When I used Hana in Revelations, I had Kaze paired with her, and gave her the Killing Edge, and she hits hard, gets crit 50% of the time, and doges attacks like crazy. Being a swordmaster for her is op.
No one probably cares or wants to see this but i want to list my favorites because i want to say my favorites and accept his (though i was surprised a few times). i will do a list for the Birthright and Neutral characters here. if people actually want. i will do my favorite Nohr characters and child units when CrashX makes his child units list - Birthright - 10. Hinata (I just find him so likeable, he's also a great unit in battlefield, since he can learn great skills like Counter and Lancebreaker. i more or so love his personality because i think he's absolutely adorable. he's bouncy, happy, determined and i just love him, also i really love his son Hisame) 9. Rinkah (The only NORMAL club user, she is great in the battlefield ESPECIALLY with a Great Club, her crit percentage is 70% - %80 OAO, i also love her as a character, sure she's angry, stubborn and reckless but that's what i like about her. i so far haven't married her with anyone other than Subaki because i thought the support was great, i'll try to get outside it.) 8. Hayato (Yeah i know he's a Ricken in the sense of character and even classes, he is similar to Ricken but not exactly like him. i think Hayato is about 14 - 16 while Ricken i think is 12 - 14. Hayato i personally prefer because of the abilities he gets. i love Ricken to death but i adore Hayato. on the battlefield i think he is one of the most usefully diverse since like Ricken he starts off magical but actually can easily be changed to physical. i will marry Hayato soon. also i like his daughter but i need to use her more. she's usually one of my earliest since i usually use Hayato for a LONG time...which brings a downside to him...he starts off weaker than a majority of enemies like Ricken but can still hold his own. his personal ability "Pride" will most likely do nothing since the levels stay when he changes classes and you most likely WILL train Hayato up...but that's a small downside) 7. Saizo (I can't find a single person who DOESN'T like Saizo, i use Saizo a fair bit and i really like his personality. i usually make Saizo a Master Ninja starting out but then make him a sword master, and he is still good. it's because he's a physical unit of course but he is the only one out of the 3 Ninja's that can actually use Flame Shurikens, what i mean is that he has the best magic out of all of them and he'll still do damage despite the still fairly low magic. Also i like Asugi and i don't care, ii know he's a child Gaius but i still like him) 6. Hinoka and Sakura (I like Sakura a little more. but i don't use them too much or pay attention to them. i will like them a lot more when i do though, i still really like them personality wise. i just need to use them more) 5. Takumi (He's a great archer, i love his son, i love his design and personality....that's the VERY short version because going over him would be too much) 4. Azama (I really love using him, i love his personality and i just find him funny and interesting, he's a bit lower because i haven't used Mitama yet, i still need to fucking get to her D:
My absolut favorite Character from the entire Game is Takumi. Camilla may only be second, but I still love her. I first married Takumi in Birthright, cause he's so adorable. (And his inferiority complex makes him even more adorable.) And his supports with Kisaragi and Kanna are very cute. I love him.

As much as I love your top ten lists, would you consider making a video about how you go through strategy in Fire Emblem games? I've tried my hardest to go through them on hard difficulty, but I always struggle, and rarely come out of a battle without a loss of a unit. If not a video, some pointers would be appreciated, from the commenters, or Crash himself. Thanks!
I understand you're predicament and personally lots of people would like to know how I play fire emblem, so I might make a video going into the way I play which should help, but a lot of the time the way you play fire emblem depends on the units you have and the chapter your facing because enemies and win conditions and so on.
Nohr better than Hoshido? HAVE YOU SEEN THEIR(Hoshido) STATS?! Hoshido royals are superior. Just look up Mangs and his walkthrough of Birthright. Also Rinkah is the waifu.
They may be superior stat wise, but I think Nohr are the more interesting and better character, and when it comes to fire emblem, that's what matters most to me.

i think there higher stats comes from there classes as a swordmaster xander is pretty fast coupled with darting blow and speedtaker not to mention a round out of stats from the class change
Also. I had 3 archers in the most important chapters, which were Takumi, Setsuna, and Mozu. And damn, were they beasts together (although I didn't support any of them)
This list is pretty agreeable. Nice to see Scarlet here. I only wish she had supports with Ryoma. I think those two could go well together. Glad to see Subaki pretty high up too. He`s a very great unit. I paired him together with Oboro and man those two could tank hits for days. Looking forward to future Fates videos. Keep up the good work.
Sidar Erdem dude, look at it this way: there is no gray morality, everything norh does is bad and everything hoshido does I good, that's a very racist message from IS, the east is good, the west not. That's the reason they are Mary sues. Hoshido's land is brimming with life and good harvest, Norh is not, it is a shame because IS had the ingredients to make the best gray FE Story since FE4, but the pandering for the weebs ruined it, other than that the gameplay is perfect, tho I prefer the durability of the weapons, makes it more tactical
In my experience playing all 3 stories. For birth right I liked Takumi the most since well hes an Archer and is bow string and arrows look like FREAKIN' LASERZ as well as the fact that I have a compound bow myself. He is my favorite and with the point blank skill it gets even better. Also Crash keep up the great work man +1 sub :D
Saizo being the weakest ninja? Woah there; Saizo is the bulkiest, and he doesn't need extra strength like Kagero as long as you give him offensive skills like rend heaven and lethality. My Saizo procs them more often than not haha. Kagero has always been the weakest for me, but I guess we got rng-blessed and screwed differently. Also, I burst out laughing at the blame Takumi part holy shit
As a fellow Nephnee fan, I agree with your love of her and her class, and I also have Oboro as one of my top Birthright characters largely because she reminds me of Neph combatwise and I like her backstory and characterization
Im surprised you found Kagero useful. She was always lacking for me in both birthright and revelations. Her strength was high, but her lower speed made it difficult to 100-0 someone early on. Kaze and Saizo were always good to me in both paths.

In folklore, Pegasi lean towards female. It's really rare for a male to take the reins, hence why Pegasus Knights are mainly female. Subaki rides a Sky Horse, but Shigure rides a Pegasus because he's pretty much a Disney Princess.
I agree with this list for the most part, despite the fact that I never really used Kagero or Setsuna. But my personal favorite is Hayato, who's a savage when you make him an Omnyoji.
Subaki better than Hinoka? ... His growths are disgusting! How can you even say that ... that's like saying Hinata is better than Ryoma. Same for Setsuna ... most of her growths don't even surpass 40%. The only stat she could cap was speed. And don't tell me that I was unlucky, because that's like saying Gunter can be good ... yeah ... can. But I guess their personalities make up for it. So I guess as long as your experience with them was good ... good for you, because I had a hard time liking Setsuna, Hinata, Orochi and Subaki for their performance on the battlefield. 19:12 Setsuna in a nutshell.
i agree with everything you said except orochi. make her a witch when you recruit her and give a speedwing or 2 IF she needs it. bam. orochi is suddenly a monster.
Cruncha Brave Tribe But look at her growths and compare it with Hinoka. Just because you were unlucky in your playthrough, doesn't mean that she's bad. Unlike Subaki she has actually the chance to get good level ups frequently. The game developers didn't seem to learn from the GBA Fighters, who only got Strength and HP ... And btw ... she is a monster in my playthrough. Probably tied with Mozu, Ryoma and Oboro as my best units.
I've used every ninja available in across all versions with Kaze in conquest, Saizo in birthright and Kagero in Revelations. Saizo actually was the best one for me, because he could simply do everything and could fight every unit. He really benefits from the dread scroll, since it grants him some needed resistance and a higher strength cap. Kaze was my worst ninja, but that was probably due to conquest's big focus on defense.
Let me just say. There were way better magekillers like Hana, Subaki and Oboro (she got no damage often from mgaic attacks). But still, he really didn't do much damage, and he really didn't have much strength, so he couldn't keep up with the other 2. His defense was crap too and every mage who attacked him took half his damage (especially those annoying sorcerers)

I respectably disagree with you when it comes to Nohr being overall better then hoshido nearing the end of my own conquest playthrough myself. however I see some absolutely complex and vivid characters in both so It's honestly nothing to get upset over. If you haven't yet I recommend you look into Oboro and Hinata's support on any down time you have if you haven't yet. Knowing you I think it's one you'll get a kick out of,and if you have what did you think of it? great video as usual keep the quality coming my man this was one of your funniest yet!
Best way to make Hana bearable is to somehow get a sunrise katana drop or grind for one in Museum Melee. Hoshido has more opportunities for dodge tanking (but then again, this is assuming we are challenging ourselves and not using the best unit in the game who happens to be a swordmaster).
OH MY GOD I JUST REALIZED! You know how most FE games have a red cavalier and a green cavalier as an homage to Cain and Abel from the first game? I noticed that Fates doesn't have that, but instead has red and green ninjas. Very smooth, Fates, very smooth.

Saizo is the best ninja in my book simply because he has high DEF. Since tonics can be bought for HP and Def, and later Scarlet can buff with Rally Def, you can keep Saizo at the threshold where he takes almost no damage for most of the game. Also the early level design in BR allow magic threats to be dealt with during the player phase so the other ninjas' superior Res is less important. Magic users do not come in large groups until the later chapters when Saizo will have built up his res as well. He requires a pair up, but otherwise is basically a second Ryoma, until the final few chapters when the enemies have higher defenses.
3 Cain and Abel archetypes that literally has a yellow counter part 1 being those ninjas. Can you think of the other ones? Note that 1 yellow is really lime green but I consider yellow
Hm....so either your Hinoka was really RNG screwed or my Subaki was because late game my Hinoka was better in almost all stats than Subaki except for strengh I think.
SUBAKI SUCKS! Lets see, he has a 20 speed growth. 35 with being a Pegasus Knight. And Hinoka is awesome, and I have gotten her to basically be Oboro with Res. I reclasses her to Spear Fighter in Rev during a Reclass only run, and she capped many of her stats.

You know, Crash; the knock off child units in Birthright, and the Awakening vets in Conquest are there for a reason. Not to fill slots: but because of a popularity poll where the winners were Chrom, who appears in Before Awakening, Gaius (Asugi), Cordelia (Caeldori), and Tharja (Rhajat). This information is given to the player during Summer Scramble in Awakening, and Hot Spring Scramble, in which the winners were Lucina (Amiibo), Inigo (Laslow), Owain, (Odin Dark), and Severa (Selena). So really, you can't call them shameless knock offs, because the fan community is responsible for all this.

I can see why you called ryoma a god. On my first birthright playthrough I was fighting Garon on casual (to test the waters) and everyone died except him (and kaden for some reason) so i paired them up and he soloed garon cause he did decent damage and couldn't be hit

Yeah, I have to say I prefer the Nohrian cast over the Hoshidan one. Not to say there aren't Hoshidans I like (The ninja trio, Oboro, Rinkah, Kaden, Azama, Ryoma and Takumi to name a few), but I found many more Nohrians I liked.
So, based on what you've said, Leo's your favourite Dark Knight, Ryoma, Takumi and Xander are in the running for your favourite of those classes, Effie, Camilla and Oboro are your second favourite of those classes, and I'm not sure how Charlotte or Elise rank among your favourites of those ones, while everyone else either isn't quite in the running or is a new class.

Yeah, although the absence that surprised ME was Orochi... Mostly because I thought her personality would appeal to him; then again, I also didn't see Takumi being lower than Kagero (who I too love as a character), although I was at least right in terms of assuming that Oboro would be on the list - and high at that. :-D
I'm so glad that for all his jokes about being "butt-hurt", he really does appreciate Takumi as a complex character AND as a highly-useful unit, even admitting that he's on the fence about whether the younger prince of Hoshido is better than Shinon or not. And you can tell that he's going to use the "Revelation"-exclusive Supports and such to inform his opinion about how the characters from the game rank as a whole; Azura had better be HIGH on that list, because there's SO much about her that we learn there which makes her one of the best. FE. Characters. EVER.
Scarlet, though, was definitely a pleasant surprise in my eyes; I thought for sure her limited characterisation and lack of Supports (THANK you, CRASH, for pointing out the thing with Ryoma! Gods, IntSys, can you PLEASE stop making these limited Support pools?!) would keep her off, but it seems she shone pretty brightly all things considered... That made my night, since Scarlet's treatment in the other routes has me pretty salty at the BEST of times.
OTOH, I'm still scratching my head trying to figure out why everyone loves Setsuna so much. I mean she's eccentric, but she's not THAT interesting... if anything, I for one find Azama the more interesting of Hinoka's retainers (even though admittedly his daughter also helps his case), and even THEN I prefer the other 6 Hoshidan retainers. It's ironic, really: I like Hinoka despite not having a GREAT love for her retainers, but for the Nohrian older sister, Camilla, I like Beruka and Selena a whole lot despite not loving their liege as much... Go figure; especially since Severa was in the lower half of the "Awakening" children, the fact that her more mature and kinder (but still kind of prickly) personality in "Fates" made her a character I adore was a pleasant surprise.

What I like about fates is that a lot of the characters get more screentime in the main story. It's not like 'Hey, nice to join you. See you in the supports!'.
Saizo and Kaze are probably the best in that regard. But just having a lot of characters be mini bosses with dialoge in the opposite routes is great.
I like Takumi and Leo more than their older brothers. It just feels like they are on a equal level to Corrin. While Ryoma and Xander are great characters, the younger brothers just have more chemistry with other characters.

Well that's an interesting question since I feel birthright is the weakness path but has the least flaws and is the best path for new FE fans, conquest is the overall best path on a technical level since it does the best in most areas, and though revelations is a bit of a mixed bag, it's my overall favourite pathway because of the access to all the characters and level design (which I know the fe fan base cannot stand for the life on them).

I personally feel that Hoshido in general was a tad bit on the Marry sue side. for example Corrin's mom somehow managed to make a barrier that stops enemies from wanting to fight in Hoshido (though i forget if they kept that in the American version since i kinda was a little skip happy when watching let's plays of birthright.) as well as them being so prosperous and kind a bunch of nobles can fix Nohr's food shortage just like that as well as some other problems that i had with this side of the story

When I used Hana in Revelations, I had Kaze paired with her, and gave her the Killing Edge, and she hits hard, gets crit 50% of the time, and doges attacks like crazy. Being a swordmaster for her is op.
No one probably cares or wants to see this but i want to list my favorites because i want to say my favorites and accept his (though i was surprised a few times). i will do a list for the Birthright and Neutral characters here. if people actually want. i will do my favorite Nohr characters and child units when CrashX makes his child units list -

10. Hinata (I just find him so likeable, he's also a great unit in battlefield, since he can learn great skills like Counter and Lancebreaker. i more or so love his personality because i think he's absolutely adorable. he's bouncy, happy, determined and i just love him, also i really love his son Hisame)
9. Rinkah (The only NORMAL club user, she is great in the battlefield ESPECIALLY with a Great Club, her crit percentage is 70% - %80 OAO, i also love her as a character, sure she's angry, stubborn and reckless but that's what i like about her. i so far haven't married her with anyone other than Subaki because i thought the support was great, i'll try to get outside it.)
8. Hayato (Yeah i know he's a Ricken in the sense of character and even classes, he is similar to Ricken but not exactly like him. i think Hayato is about 14 - 16 while Ricken i think is 12 - 14. Hayato i personally prefer because of the abilities he gets. i love Ricken to death but i adore Hayato. on the battlefield i think he is one of the most usefully diverse since like Ricken he starts off magical but actually can easily be changed to physical. i will marry Hayato soon. also i like his daughter but i need to use her more. she's usually one of my earliest since i usually use Hayato for a LONG time...which brings a downside to him...he starts off weaker than a majority of enemies like Ricken but can still hold his own. his personal ability "Pride" will most likely do nothing since the levels stay when he changes classes and you most likely WILL train Hayato up...but that's a small downside)
7. Saizo (I can't find a single person who DOESN'T like Saizo, i use Saizo a fair bit and i really like his personality. i usually make Saizo a Master Ninja starting out but then make him a sword master, and he is still good. it's because he's a physical unit of course but he is the only one out of the 3 Ninja's that can actually use Flame Shurikens, what i mean is that he has the best magic out of all of them and he'll still do damage despite the still fairly low magic. Also i like Asugi and i don't care, ii know he's a child Gaius but i still like him)
6. Hinoka and Sakura (I like Sakura a little more. but i don't use them too much or pay attention to them. i will like them a lot more when i do though, i still really like them personality wise. i just need to use them more)
5. Takumi (He's a great archer, i love his son, i love his design and personality....that's the VERY short version because going over him would be too much)
4. Azama (I really love using him, i love his personality and i just find him funny and interesting, he's a bit lower because i haven't used Mitama yet, i still need to fucking get to her D:

My absolut favorite Character from the entire Game is Takumi. Camilla may only be second, but I still love her. I first married Takumi in Birthright, cause he's so adorable. (And his inferiority complex makes him even more adorable.) And his supports with Kisaragi and Kanna are very cute. I love him.

As much as I love your top ten lists, would you consider making a video about how you go through strategy in Fire Emblem games? I've tried my hardest to go through them on hard difficulty, but I always struggle, and rarely come out of a battle without a loss of a unit. If not a video, some pointers would be appreciated, from the commenters, or Crash himself. Thanks!
I understand you're predicament and personally lots of people would like to know how I play fire emblem, so I might make a video going into the way I play which should help, but a lot of the time the way you play fire emblem depends on the units you have and the chapter your facing because enemies and win conditions and so on.

They may be superior stat wise, but I think Nohr are the more interesting and better character, and when it comes to fire emblem, that's what matters most to me.
The personality of units are more important than stats
Even if you are comparing units based on battle ability skills matter as well and knowing how to use a unit to the best of their ability for example Effie with a Brave Lance one shots a lot of sword users though her skill can be rather low for me she hits at least once most of the time and with wary fighter unless there's a mage around it's pretty hard to kill her quickly
Leo has great resistance and pretty good defense can he handle alot of physical units rushing? no but he can hold down an area that has physical and magical units at time if need be with heart seeker his lower skill can somewhat be forgiven and lifetaker gives him some sustain
Last example Nyx
Nyx is a pure glass canon but having the right weapon at the right time can make her devastating even with her low skill which I learned through Revelations as I dropped her early in conquest bow and axe user didn't dare touch her lance wielders bah calamity gale(though a group generals were a problem to evade tank since they have axes and lances)

i think there higher stats comes from there classes as a swordmaster xander is pretty fast coupled with darting blow and speedtaker not to mention a round out of stats from the class change
Also. I had 3 archers in the most important chapters, which were Takumi, Setsuna, and Mozu. And damn, were they beasts together (although I didn't support any of them)
Camilla's character is flatter than Lucina. (Ironically)
This list is pretty agreeable. Nice to see Scarlet here. I only wish she had supports with Ryoma. I think those two could go well together. Glad to see Subaki pretty high up too. He`s a very great unit. I paired him together with Oboro and man those two could tank hits for days. Looking forward to future Fates videos. Keep up the good work.

Sidar Erdem dude, look at it this way: there is no gray morality, everything norh does is bad and everything hoshido does I good, that's a very racist message from IS, the east is good, the west not. That's the reason they are Mary sues. Hoshido's land is brimming with life and good harvest, Norh is not, it is a shame because IS had the ingredients to make the best gray FE Story since FE4, but the pandering for the weebs ruined it, other than that the gameplay is perfect, tho I prefer the durability of the weapons, makes it more tactical

In my experience playing all 3 stories. For birth right I liked Takumi the most since well hes an Archer and is bow string and arrows look like FREAKIN' LASERZ as well as the fact that I have a compound bow myself. He is my favorite and with the point blank skill it gets even better. Also Crash keep up the great work man +1 sub :D

Saizo being the weakest ninja? Woah there; Saizo is the bulkiest, and he doesn't need extra strength like Kagero as long as you give him offensive skills like rend heaven and lethality. My Saizo procs them more often than not haha. Kagero has always been the weakest for me, but I guess we got rng-blessed and screwed differently. Also, I burst out laughing at the blame Takumi part holy shit
As a fellow Nephnee fan, I agree with your love of her and her class, and I also have Oboro as one of my top Birthright characters largely because she reminds me of Neph combatwise and I like her backstory and characterization

Im surprised you found Kagero useful. She was always lacking for me in both birthright and revelations. Her strength was high, but her lower speed made it difficult to 100-0 someone early on. Kaze and Saizo were always good to me in both paths.

I've used every ninja available in across all versions with Kaze in conquest, Saizo in birthright and Kagero in Revelations. Saizo actually was the best one for me, because he could simply do everything and could fight every unit. He really benefits from the dread scroll, since it grants him some needed resistance and a higher strength cap. Kaze was my worst ninja, but that was probably due to conquest's big focus on defense.

Let me just say. There were way better magekillers like Hana, Subaki and Oboro (she got no damage often from mgaic attacks). But still, he really didn't do much damage, and he really didn't have much strength, so he couldn't keep up with the other 2. His defense was crap too and every mage who attacked him took half his damage (especially those annoying sorcerers)

I respectably disagree with you when it comes to Nohr being overall better then hoshido nearing the end of my own conquest playthrough myself. however I see some absolutely complex and vivid characters in both so It's honestly nothing to get upset over. If you haven't yet I recommend you look into Oboro and Hinata's support on any down time you have if you haven't yet. Knowing you I think it's one you'll get a kick out of,and if you have what did you think of it? great video as usual keep the quality coming my man this was one of your funniest yet!

Best way to make Hana bearable is to somehow get a sunrise katana drop or grind for one in Museum Melee. Hoshido has more opportunities for dodge tanking (but then again, this is assuming we are challenging ourselves and not using the best unit in the game who happens to be a swordmaster).
OH MY GOD I JUST REALIZED! You know how most FE games have a red cavalier and a green cavalier as an homage to Cain and Abel from the first game? I noticed that Fates doesn't have that, but instead has red and green ninjas. Very smooth, Fates, very smooth.

Saizo is the best ninja in my book simply because he has high DEF. Since tonics can be bought for HP and Def, and later Scarlet can buff with Rally Def, you can keep Saizo at the threshold where he takes almost no damage for most of the game. Also the early level design in BR allow magic threats to be dealt with during the player phase so the other ninjas' superior Res is less important. Magic users do not come in large groups until the later chapters when Saizo will have built up his res as well. He requires a pair up, but otherwise is basically a second Ryoma, until the final few chapters when the enemies have higher defenses.
the problem is that hinoka was added in rather late in development. kagero was originally the elder sister.
Yeah, Hinoka doesn't exist in the original game's script (the one wrote by Shin Kibayashi)
3 Cain and Abel archetypes that literally has a yellow counter part 1 being those ninjas. Can you think of the other ones? Note that 1 yellow is really lime green but I consider yellow

Hm....so either your Hinoka was really RNG screwed or my Subaki was because late game my Hinoka was better in almost all stats than Subaki except for strengh I think.
It was his Hinoka. Suckbaki has definitely earned his nickname.
SUBAKI SUCKS! Lets see, he has a 20 speed growth. 35 with being a Pegasus Knight. And Hinoka is awesome, and I have gotten her to basically be Oboro with Res. I reclasses her to Spear Fighter in Rev during a Reclass only run, and she capped many of her stats.
Hinoka usually is overall better (Subaki is tankier and skiller, but otherwise Hinoka is better)

Not to fill slots: but because of a popularity poll where the winners were Chrom, who appears in Before Awakening, Gaius (Asugi), Cordelia (Caeldori), and Tharja (Rhajat). This information is given to the player during Summer Scramble in Awakening, and Hot Spring Scramble, in which the winners were Lucina (Amiibo), Inigo (Laslow), Owain, (Odin Dark), and Severa (Selena). So really, you can't call them shameless knock offs, because the fan community is responsible for all this.

I can see why you called ryoma a god. On my first birthright playthrough I was fighting Garon on casual (to test the waters) and everyone died except him (and kaden for some reason) so i paired them up and he soloed garon cause he did decent damage and couldn't be hit
