After a long search that has lasted more than 5 years I can finally say I found the song of my childhood, this brings back so many memories I almost cried when I found it, what a masterpiece from Goldfrapp.
This is perfection! They could have done a bunch of covers as tribute to the 80s, but they referenced all the best bits and created something that is their own and is inspired. I've read enough reviews that negates the quality of this album, but all I can say is that sometimes people like to make music that is just fun. Goldfrapp doesn't have to push the boundaries every single time, and I cannot find one misstep on Head First. I am one appreciative fan. Thank you for the awesome music.

This album is a lot stronger than I originally thought on first listen. The title track, Head First, is particularly good. People who describe this album with phrases like "Omg that sounds soooo 80s" or "wow so retro" etc are really not appreciating all it has to offer. Granted it is quite different from anything they have produced before, but it is a slick, clever and well produced album - and it is FAR MORE than an 80s cliché.
