- We just witnessed the first chapter in what could be a legendary career for Jayson Tatum. His confidence, polish, and pure skill as a rookie do not come often, and he showed it in the playoffs. Check out how.

Tatum played his heart out during the playoffs... definitely showed signs when he was more of an experienced player than a rookie. The future is bright.
He reached deep into his bag for a glimpse of his prime to help get the Celtics to the ECFs
Danny Ainge has to have one of the best eyes in the league for talent. Saw this coming before everyone caught on the bandwagon
Joshua Baynes it’s crazy that he’s been this good since high school
Danny L He was a God at Chaminade. Best player out of St. Louis for sure
Joshua Baynes he was a god at duke too, especially in the ACC tournament, that’s when I knew he deserved to be a top 3 pick
Yeah he's new-age Jerry West
NeoAkira101 Jerry west?
It’s amazing how polished his game is
I see Kobe passing by.
And the fact that he still has a lot to work on makes it scary to think what he could become!
Kobe Bryant Faxxxx Kobe
He's gonna be the next Kobe
That boy is special. He will end up as one of the all time greats.
YEZZIR
This has aged pretty well
@@clearbandwagoner9249 yessir like fine wine
2nd most points in the playoffs as a rookie in the nba EVER...2nd to a guy named Kareem...let that sink in. He will be the best player in the game within 2 to 3 years under Brad. Not even scratched the surface of his game as a defender, rebounder or shot blocker.
Well, he did play NINE more games than Kareem. Still incredible. Love this guy.
Aged pretty well, not exactly the best though
Him and D Mitch are going to be absolute superstars
Jake Molnar agreed. I think Donovan might have a few better years than Tatum because he is more the man on his team than Tatum is, but that Tatum will have more longevity due to his body type and height. Once Donovan loses a step he will be just another skilled guard whereas Tatum can move up and play the 4 because of his height.
+BPD MF tatum will slay all the way no one come close how special he is his era will be unstoppable lets go celtics!!!
Jake Molnar no respect to ben
kristian park I’ll give respect to Ben when he learned how to shoot more than 5 feet away from the basket
kristian park learns *^
Never trade with the celtics again. Never. No matter how good the trade may look the celtics always wins big
If Philly trade wouldn't have happened, Celtics would just have taken Tatum at #1
S. Tihonov yeah, but Philly wouldn't have given up a king's pick that will likely be lottery.
S. Tihonov the Celtics said that after, but everyone 1st pick was Fultz.
samuel morrison everyone except boston obviously
Boston traded it for a reason. Even if they kept it, Tatum would've been drafted first.
And the goat has posted a video again!!
We're back!
I feel like he is going to be like a stronger, and even more crafty version of KD when he gets into his prime...I’ve been saying all yea he’s a young Kobe and he just might reach that tier someday bc this man is a killer!! ☘️
Oh and don’t forget, we didn’t just get the best player in the draft...Danny Ainge also finessed Philly out of a first round pick 😂🐐
Out of all rookies this year, I truly believe Taytum will be the one with the most chips.
Doubt it.
Being on the 2nd most stacked team in the nba helps
Alex Maloney They're not stacked. Just like the Spurs aren't stacked. They just have a great but yet unexperienced coach.
Who other than the Warriors is more stacked? C's have 2 top-25 talents in Kyrie and Hayward, an underrated defensive anchor and stabilizing vet in Horford, and two of the brightest young talents in the Association who will only get better.
Alex Maloney true it’s impressive the way he led that team with Kyrie and Hayward out tho
Tatum is gonna thrive next season. Having two guys like Hayward and Kyrie that demand attention from the defense, Tatum is gonna have some beautiful looks and will get the space he needs to go to work
That Dude Najarian idk about that 😶
Boy was this wrong let’s hope he can do something without Kyrie taking all the touches
WOW. I'm still a newbie to the whole basketball world and this might be my first video about techniques and how players play. I'm speechless! this video is awesome and veery precise 💯💯 kudos to you for the work you've done here 💪👏
been a fan since I was young so.. welcome to the world of hoops! 😂😂😂😂
my favourite player alongside bron
You can really see shades of Kobe in those midrange jumpers and stepaways, never really noticed it before but it's clear JT emulated a lot of that style in developing his game
Greatest basketball channel on youtube. Love this channel, and use it to help my game even at my ripe old age lol, keep it up
he is what brandon ingram should've been like
XxXStoneFingerXxX that’s what I say too lol
I don’t know if Ingram could be that fluid. I believe in him tho, especially since Ingram has scoring capabilities and sort of help run the offense. Ingram’s footwork and body control is not up to par with Tatum (which might be some core related issues too, I don’t know), and Tatum is a better shooter. Their defense is about the same, maybe Ingram having an edge with the longer frame
Ingram is more point forward-ish, with a decent three
Jason is an explosive scorer from everywhere like KD
Their games r different
XxXStoneFingerXxX if he was in Boston he'd be playing as good as Tatum I'm sure.
Amazing his game is so polished and composed especially for a rookie it’s crazy
i have been learnin' from theese videos a lot ...Thanks 👍👍👍
He’s gonna get more moves in his bag too.. and once he gets stronger then gets some calls.. Watch out lol
lijah moody especially playing with kyrie
Zatora11 right! Dude gon be dangerous
lijah moody we saw that in the playoffs. In the regular season he was officiated like a rookie usually is. Once the playoffs got going and it was clear that he was the man on the Celtics and he was getting at least a highlight a game on ESPN, then he started getting protection and coin flip calls. It was obvious to me and I watched every minute of every game all year going back to summer league. I think it happens to a lot of guys in the playoffs and some of them don't take advantage of it or don't realize it, but he did and he drove at the bucket much more because of it. Win or lose, the Milwaukee series did so much for Tatum. It showed him he can compete at that level, it showed him how defenders play in the playoffs, and he refined his game from games 3 and 4 to games 5, 6, and 7. He learns fast. That's his best quality. He only looked like a rookie in his first game vs LeBron when LeBron blocked his first shot and then Gordon Hayward happened, but after halftime he came out and dropped like 19 in the second half to nearly overcome a 20pt deficit.
Crazy to believe Fultz and Lonzo were drafted ahead of him. He is gonna be a special player in a few years. He already is
What is so nasty is when you look at the score when he does some of his best stuff. Most of the time it's tied, behind by a couple, or ahead by a couple. On a very well spread offense he is the guy who gets the ball on key possessions, not always, but usually. On a team with a bunch of stars and young guys, he is the stand out. When Kyrie needed to get bailed out on a bad drive (rare as they may be for him), he looked for Tatum. That says a lot. A guy who normally looked to LeBron as a bail out pass is now looking at Tatum the same way. Tatum also looks taller than on opening night. He started the season at 6'8 in shoes and by the playoffs he was a hair shorter than Al Horford who is 6'11 in shoes.
Follow our journey and much more! Let's make this go big 🙏 th-cam.com/video/Tt0s0NnqmI4/w-d-xo.html
And Kobe is helping him develop and improve his game during the off-season. This kid is going to be an Assassin by next season or the season after.
His release is so pretty
Love this channel, always make good videos with good music
This and your Kyrie video were my faves. Their play style is like watching art. THIS is why I'm obsessed with basketball.
His move is like a perfect mix between Paul Pierce and Kobe (If I'm not mistaken, He once said in his twitter that Kobe is his idol)
witsawat90 Not lebron?
witsawat90 his idol is lebron
TRUE, his idol was Kobe growing up. Copying all his moves. But then his dad or another family member told him he would have a more of a young Paul Pierce, the Truth, body type and started watching his moves on tape. And now he plays as a Celtic!
Lol his idol is not Lebron. It is Kobe. The only knew Lebron because his uncle played on the Cavs with Lebron. In the Lebron photo, he was wearing Kobe jersey.
get the fuck outta here. His favorites player was and still is Kobe.
This beat is fireee. And the whole video too mannn it's very helpful
Some of the best basketball videos. Love this channel keep it up!
Watching this now makes me so damn proud. He's already an All-Star and a top 5 player in the east. I also like how you can clearly see the difference of his release and how his shots fall from then to now, his jumper is so smooth now and the ball goes in more cleanly than before.
That Boy From My City St.Louis... The Murda Capital. You Know How Them Boys In The Hood Be Ballin
Great video. Can't wait to see him continue to develop and take over the league.
For a person like me who doesnt really know the inner workings of basketball playstyles I could really understand what he was doing thanks to this video really well done
Man is clutch asf! Most of those shots he was taking were key in each round. Cnt wait for the season to start.
Tatum with the facial. OOF.
Chandasouk pause
Was expecting another mashup of random highlights and commentaries. Actually provided some information and organization breaking down what he did. Better production than 99% of what you see on TNT/ESPN.
Don't forget that he started and played in every single game except 1 time right before the playoffs when the starters were getting rest and letting China league guys play alongside G league guys. So far he is durable.
Always happy to see a new attention to detail, especially if it's one of my Cs☘️
The future in the making 💯 kid has i bright future if he doesn’t get any serious injuries.
I just pray he don't have to deal with injuries in his career cause what we miss in t mac Tatum bringing that style back to the game
Can you make a video of Jrue holiday he was a big part in the pelicans making the playoffs and was all defensive 1st team
T.A.T.U.M🔥
The only thing i'm concerned with is how often he complains. In short, his maturity on the court. He's young, so that will come in time. Jaylen Brown is a great example of a young player that can keep his composure together. This is coming from a long time Celtics fan, i'm just being real.
This video will go down in history
Great vids! Truly enjoy ya channel. Another Celtics legend Paul Pierce please!!
Love to watch this kid amazed at his abilities at a young age glad danny passed on fultz
JUMPSHOT NASTY AF BOYYY
Can you make an attention to detail on Paul pierce
RING ONE BABY!!!!!
we need a update ... he’s blossomed to one of the best iso scorers in the game.
This boy will be a Eastern Conference All Star next year
He has a nice game. I’m a fan now!
Special player just special
I was just shaking my head throughout the entire video.
What is this kid gonna become? Scary
In a year or two, we will be seeing Tatum's first run at league MVP. Mark my words.
Definitely the most polished rookie in a long time!
My favorite was him dunking on Bron In game 7
This kid play smart and high confident. Everyone knew he gonna be like Kawhi type of player.
He cooked TT all series
lmfao TT having nightmares about getting switched onto JT
Can you make a series on the different positions and how to be effective in each one
He'll be an mvp candidate by the time he is 25. No fewer than 8 all star starts and maybe 12 all star appearances. I see a scoring title if the team gets bad enough to have him taking many more shots than he gets with the depth they have now.
Great vid
Didn’t he also average like a few points lower in the playoffs then Kareem?
Amazing video
All this attention to detail... without even touching the other end if the court. Unlike players he will be close to i.e. Kobe, ect. This kid can play elite defense. Boston is stacked.
Jayson Tatum is a brilliant player and is a future MVP
This dude! He is basically like Grant Hill with range and a couple updates.
Tatum, Mitchell, and yes Simmons are looking like they will put their own mark on the NBA much like the ‘06 NBA draft.
06 draft was quite bad...
Ya you mean the 2003 draft with Lebron Melo wade and bosh?
Dennis smith dunk approach/takeoff or any dunk mechanics
"He's a rookie !!!"
This shldvebeen the ROTY
Dramachi Typo nah. He had way less on his plate that Simmons or Donovan. If Tatum was on Phoenix or something then maybe, but he was in a system that limits stats for individuals and RotY is about stats. Simmons want just under averaging a triple double, that will work every year.
montel sprinkle I'm a Celtics fan I think simmons or Mitchell should have won over Tatum for sure even though I think Tatum is a better player than both of them
We need a trae young breakdown ASAP
It reminds me of Kobe's mid range plays
Can you make a video on shooting mechanics like you made a series on dribbling moves and momentum
nice vid bro
i’ve been saying Tatum was nice since when he carried us through the ACC tournament 🤘🤦♂️🤫🐐😭😭😭
please never leave BOSTON JT ...
Damn how was his game that smooth already
He will be the best player from this rookie class
REMEMBER DEFENSE WINS CHAMPIONSHIPS
Can you make attention to detail videos on my high school players
2 years later he is killing the playoffs again
Can u guys do an analytical video on what happened to IT? I know he isn’t getting much chances but there has to be another reason that has to do with his game specifically
Jon Williams it's called injury. He put off getting surgery on his hip and hurt it worse. Then he skipped surgery again, instead letting it heal on its own, then finally got the surgery at the end of the year. He'll be back next year, probably as a Laker.
It was fun to watch him this season
Concerned me a little to watch him lose some composure against LBJ tho
GIVE HIS TRAINER DREW HANLEN A LOT OF CREDUT FOR EVERYTHING THAT YOUVE NOTICED IN HIS GAME
Remake this video cause Tatum a better player now
6:42 was nasty he got two people lmfao
Can you make a curry attention to detail
AM A CAVS FANS BUT THIS KID IS GONNA BE GREAT NO DOUBT
Damn he's like a young paul pierce for real
Kyle Lowry, JJ Redick or a "How to Drive With More Power" Video Next
Canadian Baller Kyle Lowry how to consistently be a no show in the playoffs
Canadian Baller lift weghts
a kobe-Paul pierce hybrid
Please do a guide to shooting!!
Daniel Carrasco attention to detail for shooting mechanics
NBA's future is in good hands... mitchell, tatum, embid, simmons, kuzma, Jaylen brown, ingram, markkanen, porzingis, Devin booker, KAT, Giannis, and ok.. lonzo..
That release is too finesse
Should make a deron Williams details
Do charles barkley people forget how dirty he was so pay a little homage to sir charles
How tall is he. His legs seem unusually long, yet he can still drive pretty well (unlike the usual tall guy awkwardness).
Different tips and tricks on shooting mechanics from NBA players
How have u not done one about curry. Not about his handle or athleticism, just an attention to detail about him
Kobe took this channel's idea of attention to detail and made it his own for ESPN plus
BAMB is Kobe man...
Whenever I watch Jayson Tatum I forget he’s a rookie
