Wow, you beat me. I wasn't even checking out guys at that age- I was more concentrated on barbie dolls. I have liked older men since 8th grade. Late, I guess, compared to you, but better than never. I want to see this movie too! But people around me will suspect why...can't let them figure out my secret....I'll start receiving too many odd looks
I saw it and its not that bad. (I was thinking of him the whole time, maybe that's why) Implied torture and only a smidgen of blood. I like how they imply it and not show directly..its a very artistic effect. The last scene of closet land on this site, the 9 of 9 one: boy, is that steamy! I want him to hold me like that!! I would highly recomend it to a Rickman fan.

If anyone is still looking for a copy of this film, you might like to know that (certainly very recently) HMV were knocking it out on DVD for a mere £3.00; even Alan Rickman's less than finest hour (to be fair the guy put a LOT of effort into it & it should have been great) has to be worth that for a quick look!!
If anyone knows where I can get hold of a good quality copy of the documentary that was shown on TV sometime in the early 90's of the making of this, please let me know. The Alan Rickman Download Haven (brits&clips) have it in full (& I now see that someone has uploaded it on youtube too - from the same source) but it is almost unwatchable due to it's bad quality. It may or may not be called 'Madly, Truly ... Alan Rickman The Making of Mesmer' but it is a behind-the-sceens look at the film.
The whole movie?!? Where did you find it? I've been searching for weeks but couldn't find any torrent to download... Is it available for purchase only? Where?
@RavynneRune I saw in an alan rickman fanvideo that had a clip from this moviein it that it looked like he felt the woman up inthe movie. she was sitting down and he runs his hand over her lacey dress. seemed more sensual than anything else. from what I couldtell that looked nice.
@DubhCion to me sensual is better so if that is the way you would describe the movie than that definitely is a plus. it doesn't look like one of his better movies but worth checking out.
BTW: The film is SO not good, though AR looks fabulous! It suffered from many problems before it finally got made & it shows! The sound quality on the DVD is also bad - you really have to switch it up high if you want to hear AR at times, & it seems to be constantly 'obscured' by over-powering music, plus the plot is hard to follow!! It's also full of editing mistakes & a real mix of acting styles, making it unintentionally comical at times! However, 'porn' (as some have suggested) it ain't!!
Only toenail pulling, and they don't show it, but he only says it, and she screams, and they shoot a picture of his hands with a tiny bit of blood. That's the worst of it. Didn't want to ruin it for you, but you seemed scared about it. There's this one scene where Rickman has great acting...once you watch it I'm sure you'll know what I mean.
To think, Alan did this movie the year I was born. Dang, he looks good in this.

This movie reminds me of VALMONT... For some reason... Both men are handsome, woman catching, and the movies are all set in the early years.
