You absolutely nailed it! SubH, Zoia, NightSky are the only things that really caught my eye recently, and are a huge breath of fresh air in a sea of boring/iterative products.
I spent varying parts of this video marveling at the gear and cracking up about the digitone. I love when people’s gear looks...used and human. Sometimes I’ll be watching a gear video and everything looks either unused, fully wiped of prints NCIS style and dry cleaned. You have such a great vibe- enjoying my deep dive into your channel.
@@micedevice2389 no one mentioning that the Canon 17-55 lens is in the pic, but not in the video...why isn’t anyone outraged about that 😂 Simply put: The Digitone lays flat, easier for a flat table lay thumbnail. Subharmonicon not so much. ZOIA isn’t in the thumbnail either. Some stuff from the video isn’t in the thumbnail and some stuff from the thumbnail isn’t in the video, at the end of the day it’s just esthetics.
@@NoirEtBlancVie I was quite surprised to see a Digitone in a "gear I actually use" video from you. I saw it and was like... "Wait, what? Is this April Fools Day?"
I love watching your vids. you are one of the best out there. smooth, silky, informative and engaging. Keep up the good work. your stop motions are insane!!
Weird how the Zoia's never come up in conversation, but yeah, it's such an intiguing pedal and I'm super curious as to whether I could find room for it as a synth moreso than an effects unit, honestly.
That's a really interesting list, particularly the camera stuff. (Note to self: Need to upgrade my webcam :-) ) I think anyone would also find it revealing to see what gear - hard and soft - they have been using over the past year.
Great vid. I always say my Zoom H6 is my most used piece of gear that I never thought I would use nearly every week. They make such great portable recordings and the modularity is hard to beat!
I hear you...sad that the Subharmonicon didn’t come through on that bundle deal, coulda been sweet for some. I’m thinking about the mood sound studio pack. That way I’ll get the DFAM and Mother in my setup for one price. 🤔
SubH + ZOIA yussss. I've been toying recently with putting the SubH to the left input and the DFAM to the right, and routing them through separate patches, and resulting in a stereo mix of the two. If I were any good with them, it would be a gig rig with just those three pieces of equipment.
Yeah, people ask me about the ZOIA all the time, I find it challenging to review properly, still trying to figure it out. They were planning on sending me a prototype of the Eurorack version, but I slacked on replying to the email 😁 Probably for the best seeing as my last video expressed how I don’t enjoy the Eurorack process as much as people assume I should 💁🏾♂️
Yeah, Noir! H5 FTW! It is (almost) completely immune to DRM shenanigans. Whatever you want to record,it records (again, almost - there is a blank cue for some stuff you want to record, but I've only encountered it once out of literally thousands of recordings). Keep it and tresure it, dude. Things aren't made like that anymore.
@@NoirEtBlancVie well oh well, it arrived today and I've been noodling with it all day. Definitely interesting, not sure how it'll integrate with the rest or will become its own island setup, but seems like a lot of fun! Keep safe and thanks for the videos and for the little push I needed to get the harmonicon!
Can you send me a digitakt..jk...I'm actually saving up for one and normally I probably could never afford something like that but I hope I can some day ....PS love your show and thank you for the reviews 😊

Thumbnail: Digitone
Video: Doesn't even mention a Digitone
Noir: trollface.gif
My face knowing people keep wanting me to make a video saying I love the Digitone, but me knowing I won’t. 😈
@@NoirEtBlancVie so what’s the point on that thumbnail? Kind of a prank?

Hell ya, the Nightsky has been a huge source of inspiration.
What do you use it for, like I mean it’s so flexible, but mainly what effect?
NightSky or Bigsky?
Dope vid bro! Love it!

I keep thinking I'm going to sell mine. It's amazingly powerful, but the user interface just annoys me so much.

Wow, thanks for the tips, do you have a video on how you use the tempest with the nightsky? interesting approach!

Still need that Subharmonicon to complete my kit with the DFAM & Mother-32. Such great pieces of gear!

@@NoirEtBlancVie yeah those newer sound studio bundles are great deals! So worth it.
Crackup that the thumbnail has a digitone but your most useful synth was the Subharmonicon.

I've been eyeing that Nightsky ever since it dropped! Awesome vid
Hey hey! I feel like this was such a trash video. Like a highlights show 😋 I know the Nightsky is a killer!
Have my eye on the Zoia, but there is also mention of a Modular Zoia euroburo, so still waiting on the release and price of that one.
totally agree on the zoom h5. Its awesome
As soon as I was typing up a question about it, you mention the Zoia! Fantastic, I absolutely love mine! Seen the Eurorack version coming out soon?

Sound Devices all the way. Best in class, built in Wisconsin, just amazing stuff.
what’s your workflow with the Zoom
Yo, Blk&Wht, what did you end up doing with all that modular kit?? Less modular kit means more $$ for more non-modular kit!!! Holler at me!
Is the digitone like the honorable mention?
Nope, goes along with what I wrote in the description.......
Also it lays flat so more thumbnail friendly.
Expensive collection!
A canon lens with a Sony DSLR? I didn't know that could work, do you use an adapter?
Awwww yeah, Sigma MC1 adapter! I actually only have 1 Sony lens everything else is canon 😋
@@NoirEtBlancVie I'll be damned.
so you got my sub, fair enough. Lets see what this channel is about ;)
You’ve made a terrible mistake 😄 Unsub ASAP.
@@NoirEtBlancVie ....argh ... what have I done ...
I was hoping we would see the TimbreWolf pop up.
HELLLL NO 😂
Good concept for your type of video. Also probably easier to make than most of your edited stuff
Ah you caught on to that...this is like filler content 😉
@@NoirEtBlancVie haha sorry! but yeah Nothing wrong with that. Great video as always!

I miss him. He’s MIA 😩
I expected your white hoodie sweater shirt to make an appearance.

Sure friend 😊
Subharmonicon love
To subharmonicon or not to subharmonicon, that has been my question for months.
SubharmoniCAN! (Means, get it)

Ah, I see you're a man of culture
Hahaha, I need all those megapixel for my clickbait Digitone thumbnails 😉
Noir: It was hard for me me to spend $3000 on the A7Rii.
Also Noir: It’s my on-the-road camera.

Lol. Damn, thinking back the Modal002 would be nice instead of this camera 😋
