massive tip for AKS-74u builds. No matter what top rails you already have, replace the rear iron sight with the rail and put your red dot there. The meta handguard and rail combo is very cool looking, but if you put a red dot on the far end the gun feels floaty, and if you put it on the rear end it appears too close to your face. You are 100% right, this gun is very powerful Another one I HIGHLY recommend is the AK-12, but unsuppressed. The gun is doggo when suppressed, but with no silencer it is ridiculously fun because of the higher fire-rate
It’s this and the ak12 when it comes to 545 bullets. They work really really well when you got bp and bs. Throughout the whole wipe I kept picking up all bp and bs whenever I found it. Always felt like I’d have a streak of bad or subpar raids and end up seeing all the 545 I have then build one and get pulled out of the streak. Ggs like seeing ya head over and get some action at the dorms.
The AKS-74u has definitely been my favorite in that caliber of guns this wipe, it feels great to shoot. Just sucks that it's being held back by how bad 545 rounds feel this wipe, I swear sometimes it's like they just do nothing.
Although it's much more pronounced in PVE with the scav AI changes and them coming in larger numbers towards gunfights I have noticed it's better to bring a lot more ammo and mags than I used to. 2 60 rounders can quickly be used up with plenty of targets to spare, especially in the indoors, or at longer distances.
Yeah with the changes u are definitely right. I sometimes just used 2x 30mags back in the day but that is no longer viable considering how quick you get rushed by scavs
Same here bro. I still run the lvl 1 modded AKS-74U, but i always take 4 additional 30 round mags + 120spare ammo. The scavs just keep coming, even if i try to stay mobile on urban maps. Its not that big of an issue on Woods.
ive been using the gun forever, it just works and has forever. its not the best but its workhorse even without much modding, something just throwing on a recoil pad PBS1 red dot and grips
love the ak 545 but im not using it...idk why but it doesnt work for me build it almost exactly the same as you do but seems i cant make it work some how but love to see how you did with that build bro! still standing strong late wipe nice vid my guy! keep it up for sure!
5.45 becomes waaay too inconsistent unless you're going for headshots all the time. If the guns that use it had a better fire rate it might not be so bad but late wipe 5.45 aint it.
I know it’s a great weapon, however for some reason the fire rate throws me off and it feels like shit in my hands, I have 6k hours in the game and can never make this gun work great in my hands, I’m far better off with western guns, but no doubt this gun is a demon

The only thing I don’t like about this gun late wipe is sometimes people just TANK rounds. It’s pretty much a head shot machine.
Sometimes it does happen tbh, but with the new armor changes I feel like everybody tanks anyways and at least you have good pen🤣
