I am currently a Buzzsprout user but looking into Captivate because of their podcast website creation support (i.e. ease of creating a really good-looking and customized page on my WordPress site) to host my podcast. I'm curious that you didn't mention this as one of their differentiating features - what do you think of it?

Neal, did you ever make a decision? I’ve been with Buzzsprout from the start, but have recently really been considering switching to Captivate. Just curious if you made the switch, and what your thoughts are, if so?

@@kevinlowe3503 Haven't made the switch yet - I did look into Captivate-generated websites and its pretty cool. On the other hand, you can also build a website with Podpage. I'll let you know should I decide one way or the other...by the way heading to Podcast Movement? I'll be there!

@@NealSchaffer yeah, Podpage is pretty amazing. I’ve actually just been considering Captivate for some of their other features related to helping you grow your show. And no, I don’t think I’m going to be able to make it to Podcast Movement.

@@kevinlowe3503 Hey, what features do you speak of? Now you have ME curious! The dealbreaker for me with Captivate is they don't have Dynamic Ad Insertion, but apparently it is high on their priority. If they were to launch that, that might just be the trigger point for me ... unless Buzzsprout teams up with PodPage or does something vis a vis website promotion!

Really good Video. I've been looking for another podcast host as buzzsprout caps off the amount of content that you can produce. this made my choice. I'd love to have you on a episode of my podcast to discuss podcast growth and for you to provide advice to new/prospective podcasters.

Captivate Rocks. Their support is amazing and they always are putting out great content. Very good for the newby who wants to monetize. I've used them for over a year and plan on staying for a long time as they continue to upgrade.

I was confused when you used the word "show". Did you mean a channel or an episode? In my mind, a podcast is equivalent to a channel. You may have many episodes uploaded for that channel. Some hosting services allow unlimited podcasts. I'm guessing this is what would constitute a channel, or as you described it, a show. Correct?

When in the video are you referring to?

@@podcastnut 1:10 (monetizing the show: Shew as the channel that includes many episodes? or ONE episode? 2:19 "episode" - This I can relate to a one recording track (episode). You've mentioned the word "episode" a few times at that point, and it was very clear what you meant. At 4:03, I believe you meant one channel. You said "show". While at other times, you kept saying "shows," and I wasn't sure what they actually offer. 6:30 "unlimited shows" - means unlimited channels, and in each channel (show), unlimited episodes - correct? 8:19 I'm guessing it is like the previous sentence. These are just a few examples that when hearing the words "podcast", "show", an "episode", I wasn't sure if a show is equivalent to a channel. I don't want to sound like complaining. I'm not. Just asking for clarification if you have the time. Thank you for the comment.
