Totally get that California as a whole can be hard but for those that still love to live in California or want to live in it, Redding is a great option to consider.
Some don’t have a choice right now. Best to make the best of a tough situation. I’m slowly leaving SF where I was born and raised. Got married, moved to the South Bay. Next we have our eyes on Chico, Red Bluff or Redding. Then after a few years, Idaho. I know this state has abandoned God so what happens next will be totally justified. I just don’t want to be in the highly populated areas in case something bad happens.
That’s amazing! We have helped a lot of families relocate up here & everybody loves the change of pace in life, scenery & the more affordable cost of living. Happy to help & discuss pros/cons etc so you can make the best decision for you all. You can easily book a consult with us if that is most helpful to you. tr.ee/eH2ohycw8j
41 year resident and transplant from L.A. This is a good evaluation but I would say the current political tide at the Shasta County level goes to the extreme right! It will be interesting on election night when it comes to certifying our election at the county level!
Yeah we are a bit of a conservative area for sure. It will be interesting this election how the data correlates to the last poll I shared in this video.
“All liberal cities are awful so I’m going to move to the countryside to get away from it. However I will continue voting for the dumpster fire brain rot that destroyed where I came from.” - Average liberal who can’t connect the dots and accept responsibility. Repent and believe the gospel! voting isn’t going to save this nation! Turning from sin will!
I was born and raised in Redding (Mercy Hospital- 1959)- Although still conservative, it has tilted a bit left over the years, sadly. Why do people leave cities like SF and LA for places like Redding, already knowing the political climate, and then complain?
@@BannerSound Things change. I feel Redding is much more conservative now or at least people are much more angry about things than they were. In fact if you look in the more distant past in Redding (before both of us) Redding had far more union jobs and the area was more Democratic leanings. Certainly in the depression and WWII times. I'm believe in the majority rules and accepting or election results! Let things fall as the may.
Curious where you are hearing that stat. I own a commercial building and trust me, if it’s on my property and if I ever had an issue, I’m defending myself.
@ I’m referring to the Cascade Theater with their security screening. We went to concert there and arrived early so walked around downtown and were confronted by a crazy person I was not able to bring anything I could use to protect myself due to the restrictions at the venue.
Yeah, way too hot! I function best between 55 and 65 degrees. So at 105 I am almost unconscious. 🙂Unfortunately, this is the number one deal breaker for me. Otherwise I would consider moving there.
California is expensive. It’s humid in the summer. I like California because I love the view of the water and because all my own my life I’ve been here. But honestly, I doubt you’d wanna live in Lynnwood California. It’s better to live in a different city one that doesn’t Really figure top list of most preferable places to live. I would actually prefer a nice sunny area in the suburbs with a view and a big house with a lot of land.
city is irrelevant when the whole state is a dealbreaker

My boyfriend and I are thinking about moving from LA to Redding and I've been really enjoying your videos.

Crime downtown is made more dangerous when some venues prevent you from defending yourself and your family.
It seems like the whole state of California is anti-self defense.

I've lived in Redding a long time, and I find this recap accurate and honest. Good video Faith!
Thanks so much for watching & commenting! Definitely try to keep it as honest as possible!
I was born in Redding since 1956. It changed a lot some good some bad.

lol I own a nightlife company in Vegas so no nightlife is perfect
Yep most people moving here don’t want a nightlife like in Vegas. We definitely have options but nothing as extreme as a big city.
Any street action up there
Not sure what action you are looking for, but no one is out on the street when it's 110f.
