Redding is a shithole that’s owned by the Bethel cult. Just move to Chico or Medford even.

Ethnic i do not recommend, visiting yes but living don't do it .

I’m interested in moving, then buying something remote and near the mountains. Just property is good but a fixer upper is ok too.

Full Of Felons, Homeless & Drug Addicts be sure to research that since it was purposely skipped.

Love this place! 10/10 Two things are interesting about this place. This location use to be a Filipino market. Not sure if the former business owner sold or converted it. Also, people might find it a bit strange but a lot of the desserts have corn toppings as an option. In East Asian/South East Asian, corn is a common dessert topping. It’s quite authentic in my opinion, but don’t feel weird about asking for no corn 😂. The Ube Croffle here is FIRE btw 🔥❤

Crime downtown is made more dangerous when some venues prevent you from defending yourself and your family.

With all the confusing one way roads and the now implemented paid parking, I try to stay out of downtown Redding as much as possible.

I'm in the southern part of the state and was thinking about moving my family to Shasta County but my deep blue county turned red this election so we're going to stay and fight.

People move to nice city > State DOT turns it into a sprawl-y dump > People move to next nice place.

If you're thinking of moving to San Francisco, move to Redding.

Bethel Church is a reason avoid or leave Redding

Some of that outbound migration also has to do with people exiting the Bethel Church bubble. Almost every person I know who went there specifically to be part of that moved back after a few years. I'm not surprised - used to drink that flavor-aide until I realized its no different or better than any megachurch full of charlatans. Heard stories from folks about being consistently harassed by students to be prayed over and touched without permission by seemingly well-meaning but pushy students. Vibes were weird the times I've been there. If that's your cup, that's cool, just be aware if you aren't religious you're going to get reminded of the presence Bethel Church pretty much everywhere you go.

It's called your Culty neighbor. My cousins came for the cult - even stuck it out across the interstate from it in the RV park for 3 years with 4 kids - but they are trying to go back to Kansas or Oklahoma. They've finally seen Redding for what it is ..............a Money trap with a MegaCult.

Don’t worry honey I ain’t coming to your neck of the woods to retire. I’m looking at coastal towns like Crescent City with homes selling in the low $300’s

I’m sick of people with their city attitude moving here. So many drive insane and don’t seem to care about anything but getting where they need to go. Its not the same. I love our wildlife and I see city people hitting animals in the country and they don’t stop, nor do they give a poop about anything… I say go back where you came from.
