Freda Payne is one person who needs an Unsung. She is all but forgotten today.
I know this is old and I hope you see this. Phyllis Hyman was among the first season of Unsung. You can probably find it on TH-cam.
I miss OLD BET. It showed us as intellectual people who were beautiful and cultured. We were into art 🎨, theater 🎭 and real musicianship 🎶. It’s sad what that channel has turned into.
I have to agree with you. Programming such as this, movies, news, etc. BET+ is no different.
I remember when my grandparents and my parents used to watch this show " Today's black woman " on BET . I was started high school in 85 it's was more educational then than now

The cast of this production was incredible. Saw it twice. Years later I saw it performed in London and it was a respectable job. But I really enjoyed the Broadway version. Great memories.

The interviewer is not very good, though seemingly well intentioned. They all look great, too bad BET gave up on that type of programming.
