hopefully this works out. Tourists have money to spend but us locals are stretched thin. The garden walk near Disneyland is a newer outdoor center that struggles to keep shop space occupied. Local restaurants pop up and fail every year. not a lot of local entertainment dollars to spend in this economy.
I think the level of excitement for this project depends on your age group. As an older person I can see why this would seem to be a waste a resources. Younger people would love the night life, and middle aged would love the restaurants, parks, and consider this a good place to live at. You can’t please everyone, but adding all these amenities in a prime location should bring in more money to the area. The Samueli’s know what they’re doing, and I trust their vision.
Thank you for the update. As a resident of Anaheim for over 60 years let me just say this will be by far and away the dumbest thing Anaheim has ever done. The ARTIC transportation center has been a complete and utter waste of money, no one uses it. We also tried this in Anaheim with the Garden Walk which is now home to cheap stores selling absolute crap. We already have plenty of empty apartment buildings in Anaheim and frankly people live in Anaheim to NOT be like Los Angeles. this will simply make getting to a Ducks game even harder making me reconsider my 20 years of season tickets.
Thanks for your input! And wow, 60 years in Anaheim, that’s great! You definitely make some good points. And I agree with you regarding the Gardenwalk. It’s a shame that such a good location is always so slow. What do you think would be a better option for the area, what would you like to see?
Affordable housing never equals good. Anaheim knocked down many businesses near the stadium and built condos. They couldn't sell many of them so converted them to rentals and this was about 20 years ago. What makes this new development better? You want fries with that? Next, I worked in that area near Disneyland. We used to call that area Anaslime. It didn't earn that nickname for just any reason. Use caution. I worked for a large telecom company in Anaheim. Due to technology advances, my job was eliminated. Humans were obsolete at that point and this was a very long time ago. I've been retired for 18 years.
Im a Anaheim resident for 32 years and absolute love this cant wait 🥳🅰️🍊
Very cool!
This will be great! Cant wait to see it all.
Me too! What are you most excited for?
Huge
So huge!

The Garden Walk is a mystery that can’t be solved. It stays afloat because of the big chain restaurants.

That’s so true! Once this is completed, I won’t be as young as I am now and might not feel like same way about all the entertainment 😂
@@LivingInAnaheim haha you have a long time before you start feeling old, and even longer before you start looking old.
I hate parking in the area. It is not inviting as it is now. It has a mediocre brewery Golden Roads. Isn't it currently called the Platinum Triangle?
Luckily Anaheim has sooo many other great breweries! And yes, the OC Vibe is located in the Platinum Triangle area of Anaheim
How much road infrastructure for traffic are they providing.

Bad take
I don’t want to live in Anacrime.
No one is forcing you to.
homeless people can't wait to enjoy it
So I'm assuming you can't wait to join your peers.
There's a reason why Anaheim is nicknamed AnaCrime 😅
Terrible city with the worse school district. Crime is horrible.
Have you ever lived here?
@@LivingInAnaheim yes. The the teachers are the highest paid in California because it is so bad
