You should go! I heard that caves in Florida are awesome, and a cenote trip in the Yucatan Peninsula is a must to do!! I hope you can make it sooner o later.

In USA students normally tip them about 10%, in Mexico, if is out of a resort, some chelas (beers), in Indonesia a thanks see you later is normal (because we work with backpackers)... Maybe you can ask the manager of the Dive center to know more or less the standard of the area.
hahaha definitely a mosquito. Those buggers are everywhere in the jungle 😂There are some fish in the cenotes, but they are not the highlight of diving there, that's for sure! Diving in cenotes is all about the light, formations and sensations of being inside the cavern.

Cenote Xulo and Mosquito factory are super cool! But just for full cave dives
Yes they are! There are so many great full cave dives there. Another one that we love is Jailhouse in Tulum 😍
I enjoyed Xu-lo, but my favorite dive was the the Chinese Gardens line in Tajma Ha. Such a variety of sights on a single dive.
