Poor customer service & attitude in the shop. Banter is fine, but you could see the client felt uncomfortable after a while when they persisted to act childish around him.
That's how barbershops are, absolutely hate getting my haircut, have to deal with a bunch of man children.

Wish I could do this with my hair but it's way too thick (not nappy, just thick). My hair just does what it wants. Even soaking wet and with product and combing I can't ever get my hair to slick back flat and smooth.
Ah man, that's definitely the case with a lot of thick haired guys.
The slicked back look is a lot harder to get with that texture. HOWEVER, we have found that a classic side part can work really well with thick hair.

Beardbrand Ah, I tend not to experiment with new hair cuts & styles, as my hair does what it wants. But I've never tried going with a side part, and it's not like it's something I won't be able to get. Gonna have to get my barber to do that for me next time.

It's always good to try and refresh your style every so often. I just wish I'd made more of my hair while I still had it! Ah well, at least I'll always have a beard.
I have very thick hair and I can get it to go straight back or to the side but I can never decide which way it looks best on me. My hair just always feels big and poofy
it's ok to kick about in your down time but that's totally unprofessional when there are clients paying good money for a haircut.

Wow, you're not wrong. I saw this comment before watching the video and assumed that the children would be customers'... Not the "professionals". I'm all for having a relaxed work environment, but there comes a point where the piss is very much being taken. That was when the football was being kicked around a working barber shop. Inconsiderate, childish and embarrassing if you ask me. Extra respect to Dave for pulling it off; you can tell there was some real irritation behind that slap of the football...
edit: That all said, the cutaway when Dave ran after them was funny
Banter's fine but imagine if the barber was just shaving his client's neckline with a straight razor and got hit by the ball.

There's a tendency for whingebags to target abuse towards the staff on these barbershop videos for various reasons, however with this one I feel it's entirely justified due to the shockingly poor behaviour in the background. I know the lads in the shop like to have a laugh and that seems to be part of the appeal but they were out of line here. There was a complete lack of respect and professionalism shown to both their colleague (who was doing his best to rectify that and likely felt embarrassed by their actions) and the paying customer. Business can't be so good that you become completely ignorant of the customer?

Exemplary work from Dave once again. But you'd be forgiven for thinking there was a children's birthday party happening in the background and the only snacks available were blue Smarties, Lucozade and cocaine.

I'm really confused as to why beardbrand posted this. Makes the shop look terrible and reflects poorly on their brand for endorsing it. Not only are the co-workers acting like 12 year olds in the back, but then they try to distract the barber in the middle of a cut!? I'd bet that customer isn't returning.

I've seen many of the videos shot in this shop. I think it's horrendous that any co-worker would allow such a commotion while another co-worker is shooting their instructional/promo video.It's a bad reflection on the shop. Whoever was making that racket should have been told to shut it, or get out. If Beardbrand was my company, I would have been livid that this persisted, and I would have shot the video over.

lol, I don't get it. How do these videos get so many comments saying that the cut looks amazing but there are lines everywhere in it? I think the barbers in the EU have amazing shear techniques and styles, but the clipper work just isn't there. Any decent barber would see those lines and not let the client leave until they were gone.
It makes it hard to concentrate on each step when you have people in the back being extra active and loud for no reason.

I'm not sure who was more irritated at the conduct in the barbershop, the customer or the barber performing the haircut.
Those are the same people if the roles were reversed would be pitching a fit if their co-workers were behaving in such a manner.
As a customer, I would have left without paying. Having fun near someone who cuts my hair with a pair of scissors.

Everyone moaning about the banter in the shop. Barber shops are boring these days I worked in a Jamaican barbershop when I was 16 and it was the best place I’ve ever worked the banter was top tier and everyone got on and the customers got involved. This shop had a bit of mild banter and everyone’s kicking off.
