What lessons can be learned in this case? 1. There are two kinds of shots: one that makes you an idiot and one that makes you dead. Best to keep 'em away from each other. 2. Don't look down the barrel of a loaded gun. You could really shoot your eye out. Thanks for your analysis, Dr. G. Very unfortunate turn of events.
My theory on this case has always been that, considering that (1) Lee wasn’t experienced with firearms, (2) the close friendship, (3) the level of intoxication, and (4h Lee’s lying about the business opportunities/failures, they were sitting together, very drunk, and Lee asked Rob to end his life for him and make it look like he shot himself, because he didn’t have the ability/courage to do it. Perhaps he poured his heart out. Perhaps he told Rob that his wife would be better taken care of if he died, and they were both so drunk. That’s my theory 🤷🏼♀️
I watched the dateline on this. Dude was so drunk he could have been blacked out and done this… or not done it, or done it by accident. But it was so frustrating to hear the cops say “he wasn’t acting sad” “she wasn’t acting like a widow”. Like there’s a certain way someone is supposed to act.

As a cop he knows the rules of firearms safety. However, being impaired by alcohol, as we all know, limits your ability to reason coherently. That being said, I wonder if the gun was present the whole time. With her close connection to her step dad, he'd be aware of her frustration with her husband. He did her a favor. He probably was willing to take the fall thinking he'd get off lightly or completely. Possibly a spur of the moment idea. Unfortunately for him, he wasn't able to think too clearly and screwed up his ability to hide the truth. Moral of the story, if you're going to commit a crime, don't do it drunk. If she was that frustrated with her husband that'd he'd think getting rid of him was a favor for her, I'd like to point out that divorce accomplishes the same thing with the added bonus of child support and being completely legal. Offing broke husbands not only creates potential legal problems, deprives the mother of child support, but also leaves the wife with the husband's debts. Bad idea.

Theory #5. I feel Rob's step daughter and Rob worked out a deal whereas Rob takes out Lee. Hollo Dr Grande. Do have any insights into the question of weather the human drive to be popular has any evolutionary advantages that led to it being selected for?. Or do you think it is a societal pressure? Or maybe another cause?
In the styling of Jeff Foxworthy; if you can't pay attention to the speaker because in your head you're busy realigning the items in the background, you might be a neurotic. That out of the way... I'm curious about the ballistics of suicide vs homicide. And do those with neurotic traits genuinely excel at analytical based professions such as forensics?
Can they stop you from washing your hands? It's just a guess, but I'm thinking, if they haven't arrested you, all they can do is ask you, or recommend, that you don't. You said it as a crack, but I think it probably went down that way; they stood there in amazement as he disregarded their advice/request. Then, I guess, this action becomes a fact in itself, for whatever it's worth in a trial. Idk, interesting.
Most people that have a permit to carry concealed if they have their gun with them at all, it's going to be on their person. They're not going to store it someplace else unless as was mentioned here, it's locked- up in the trunk of the car altogether and that would only be if they went into someplace where Firearms were prohibited.
Anyone else want him to cover Barry Morphew? He allegedly killed his wife Suzanne Morphew. They lived in Colorado and Suzanne was reported missing when her abandoned bicycle was found on a path at their Puma Path residence. She was reported missing on that Mother's day when she was alone. Her husband Barry said that she must have been taken by a mountain lion. The police couldn't find her and eventually Barry was arrested but as the trial was going on the prosecution dropped the case. It's in limbo and Suzanne is still missing.

Of course I'd love the doc's input on this case! in the meantime i recommend checking out "It's a Crime" here on TH-cam-- she's done a ton of very in-depth coverage on barry morphew! Based on the info in this video I believe the theory that Rob showed the gun to Lee. Lee held the gun and looked down the barrel but he was drunk and his hands were shaky and his thumb depressed the trigger. This left Rob in a terrible position. As a former police officer and a currant lawyer he knew that letting another person examine a loaded gun is wrong and handling a gun while intoxicated is doubly wrong.
Murder is not inconsistent with anyone's personality. I am a sweet little great granny. 👵🏻 I can think of half a dozen instances where, had there been a weapon in my hand, I definitely would have done the deed! 🤷🏼♀️
I hate that argument that only a certain type of person can kill someone anybody can murder someone it's really not that hard. It's Whether or not you can deal with the consequences of your actions. Like dealing with mans law or having to deal with your own thoughts at 3:00 a.m.
Imo, Belinda and her stepfather planned the killing. Their behaviors, actions, the insurance payout/financial gain for Belinda and possibly some financial gain for stepdad, and the facts of the case point to guilt on both of their parts. I feel so bad for the victim and the children.
Rob is guilty. Period. I’m not sure how anyone could even doubt that. As for the specific charges brought against him, there are several possibilities in my opinion. As you said in the second half of the video, I agree that there are a few scenarios that could have led up to Lee’s death: - *Rob straight up murdered him.* (I won’t even begin to theorize motive because that’s a whole *other* discussion.) - *Rob was just showing Lee his gun and it accidentally discharged.* Lee may have expressed interest in purchasing a gun for his own personal reasons and asked Rob what he would suggest. Rob, then, brought out his firearm as a visual aid in explaining different guns and how they work. - *Lee asked Rob to shoot him.* Lee saw this as a way to escape his debt, but he didn’t want to leave his wife and children with that debt to repay and maybe a little extra to get a new life started - assuming there was a life insurance policy? Lee couldn’t do it himself, even with the liquid courage, so he asked Rob to do him a solid. Whether intentional (coerced or not) or due to negligence; drunk or not, Rob is guilty. He knows firearms. He also knows to keep the safety on unless he is intending to fire it. His actions, or inactions, directly caused the death of Lee.
My feeling is Rob killed Lee to help Belinda. She had perhaps previously told Rob about all the nonsenses Lee was into and wasn’t pulling his weight financially. She may have even told Rob she was better off if Lee was dead……Rob brought an arsenal to a nice family evening. Rob also believed as he was ex cop, he could muddy up the waters and make it through the system by way of being an ex cop…..gives him certain privileges…… Rob was just trying to help Belinda, but poor Lee needed to be unalived for this. Andor as Rob was step dad he may have hoped Belinda may be so grateful to him they get together eventually romantically (he harbours a secret longing for Belinda) if he could get Lee gone and swoop in and play daddy. Sad state of affairs.
I think the gunshot was accidental; mixing alcohol & weapons is NEVER a good idea. I think Lee could've taken the opportunity to "check out" of his troubled life. Rob should have told the truth, I don't think he did 😐
Excellent video 📹 INTERVENTION (involving a pistol 🔫) DEBT is the greatest curse on any family 👪 It is worse than than drugs, alcohol or gambling. Entrepreneurs and would be businessman induce great hardships on their family. Promises and hopes wear thin. They are often in debt and the family has to go without. Living standards have reached a comfortable level in North America and Western Europe. People could do reasonable jobs and pay their bills.
One theory I have is that Rob and Lee got into an argument about Lee's financial situation. Rob might have been feeling protective of his stepdaughter and perhaps he blamed Lee for their financial troubles. Maybe Rob felt that his stepdaughter deserved a better husband than Lee and this led to a massive, alcohol-fueled fight which somehow ended up with Rob's weapon involved. Not sure at this point if Rob intentionally killed Lee or if it was an accidental outcome from their fight 🤔
I don’t agree that theory 3 is more likely than theory 2, or than theory 4. But you have wrongly assumed that just one of them did it. They could have been drunkenly grappling over the gun, e.g. because Rob didn’t like how Lee was holding it and was trying to get it off him. Rob could therefore plausibly have been unsure who pulled the trigger. He’s still culpable, though.
I realise this is not the subject of this video, but can we speculate about how someone like Amber Heard might be really good in a situation like portraying Jodi Arias?
Amber Heard is an actress - whether good or bad actor, she is acting. You can never really tell the truth when its an actor, because they know how to act the part!! That goes for Johnny Depp too, although I think he is genuine. This is one big stage for them both to air their dirty laundry!
@Headake I was mainly thinking about the similarities in the delivery/performance of the testimony to the jury. I shall now observe a moment of silence for the bee.
Seems like she should have been far more pursued. Sounds like possible affair with Belinda or she convinced him to do it saying "let's make it look like a suicide". Also how did Rob hear multi pops?
This quy reminds me of the quacks my narcissistic mother took me to as a kid. I'd bet he is another self deluded Dr only in the field to prove their own sanity to themselves.

lol. I see his post almost every day. He keeps changing the number of days back and forth. Day 330, next Day 227! He seems like a really nice guy/girl. I hope Dr. Grande does this one. The guy has a huge youtube channel, now!
@@bthomson 👋 Hi, B! Hope you have a lovely day! 🤟

It would be amusing if DTG could analyze Eric Cartman from South Park!!

Those background items are very dear to the Grande Groupies! Several of the cacti have names and they do move around sometimes!
I only hope this story is as intriguing as Dr Grande's choosen title ( : ..... huh? Lol
It's in limbo and Suzanne is still missing.
for sure!!!!! ☺ I've followed this case a lot too and barry just seems SO guilty to me! (i get how its tough without no body discovered, but still! 😳). Of course I'd love the doc's input on this case! in the meantime i recommend checking out "It's a Crime" here on TH-cam-- she's done a ton of very in-depth coverage on barry morphew! Lots of videos! 🤗
Alcohol, oh alcohol! What tragedy had been done under your influence!
Not the way I thought this was gonna go at all.
I feel like 2 was most probable. Get drunk, accidentally discharge, then try to cover it up, especially since there’s no malice between the two.
Hi Dr. Grande. Will you analyze the Buffalo shooter Peyton Gendron and the "white replacement theory"?
Check out a channel called History Debunked.
Murder is not inconsistent with anyone's personality. I am a sweet little great granny. 👵🏻
I can think of half a dozen instances where, had there been a weapon in my hand, I definitely would have done the deed! 🤷🏼♀️

I hate that argument that only a certain type of person can kill someone anybody can murder someone it's really not that hard. It's Whether or not you can deal with the consequences of your actions. Like dealing with mans law or having to deal with your own thoughts at 3:00 a.m.
Not related to this vid but I wanna know what you think about that whole Brendan Schaub and Tigerbelly stuff going on if you're privy to it
Imo, Belinda and her stepfather planned the killing.
As you said in the second half of the video, I agree that there are a few scenarios that could have led up to Lee’s death:
- *Rob straight up murdered him.* (I won’t even begin to theorize motive because that’s a whole *other* discussion.)
- *Rob was just showing Lee his gun and it accidentally discharged.* Lee may have expressed interest in purchasing a gun for his own personal reasons and asked Rob what he would suggest.
Holy shit I didn’t intend on that comment being so lengthy 😳 whoops! 😝

This case was radder than rad.
You should help lawyers
I think the gunshot was accidental; mixing alcohol & weapons is NEVER a good idea. I think Lee could've taken the opportunity to "check out" of his troubled life. Rob should have told the truth, I don't think he did 😐
It's obvious that Rob was sleepwalking. (/sarc for those in Rio Linda)
Honestly, one can anybody listen to this and still argue that casual fun ownership is safe
Rob is an ex-cop. Not a casual gun-owner.
Excellent video 📹
INTERVENTION (involving a pistol 🔫)
DEBT is the greatest curse on any family 👪
It is worse than than drugs, alcohol or gambling.
Day 302 of no Sammy the Bull Gravano video
I realise this is not the subject of this video, but can we speculate about how someone like Amber Heard might be really good in a situation like portraying Jodi Arias?
Amber Heard is an actress - whether good or bad actor, she is acting. You can never really tell the truth when its an actor, because they know how to act the part!! That goes for Johnny Depp too, although I think he is genuine. This is one big stage for them both to air their dirty laundry!
@Headake I was mainly thinking about the similarities in the delivery/performance of the testimony to the jury. I shall now observe a moment of silence for the bee.
This was a strange one any of those explanations could be true
Seems like she should have been far more pursued. Sounds like possible affair with Belinda or she convinced him to do it saying "let's make it look like a suicide". Also how did Rob hear multi pops?
Please remove the in video ads, thank you
Belinda is just a terrible name lol
Did Rob have a thing for the stepdaughter or hope to? Maybe she wanted hubby dead.
