Hi, im from Poland, no problems in terms of opening account in TBC, still (OCT 2024). I will be trying or looking for opportunities to move there. 1% of tax is an insane level, and if you are a contractor to any European customer, or even overeployed, its easy to earn a ton of money. While Netherlands are having 50% for higher income - i didnt found a reason in your videos why did you left the Georgia? Or maybe there was no reason? Or your new citizenship was a reason? In my eyes this is really good place to settle down or make it as a second home. Its more close to south-east-asia too! :-)
I think for people from Poland it was never an issue to open bank accounts. Only Belarus/Russia. You mentioned it correctly - it's an amazing place for a second home. I need the first home first because I'll never come back to my country of birth. So it's a mix of finding a home/citezenship etc. Georgia is an awesome country but I wouldn't want to live there my whole life. Also, it's too hot for me in summer ;D I don't really care about taxes that much as long as I know where they are going. Also nobody pays 50% in Holland, only very rich people and even for them it's less.
Do you know some digital entrepreneur in georgia ? I am really interested about the 1 % tax scheme. However the problem seems to be the payment system, they don't have stripe ... Do you know other alternatives for client can pay my digital product on my website (europe client and us in the future) ? Thanks :)
Yes, Stripe doesn't support Georgia. I use Paddle. Another alternative is LemonSqueezy. I use both of them even in the country that supports Stripe because they take care of international VAT and Stripe doesn't.
Thanks Dimitri! I decided to register my company through an agency instead of traveling to Georgia because the rental prices are sky high and the quality is very poor! I will go instead to Thailand, which is amazingly cheap still!
One thing i noticed about people in tbilisi, either they are super warm and friendly (minority) or they are very cold and unfriendly (and often even come across as rude ) and not much in between.
If you are not White, you are not a gift from God; I learned that in the flesh. Outside of transactions, I got almost zero love in Tbilisi. I was treated somewhat better in Kutaisi. Everytime I fly out of Tbilisi, they treat me like a terrorist at security checkpoint. They make me take off my belt and shoes but the White person after me walks through with out doing all that. Friggin loathe it. I even got rejected from Halyk and TBC banks and I provided that I have 80K USD in my American bank and showed them my very LEGAL job and still got rejected. I wonder if I will get a driver's licence here in the Republic of Georgia.
Have you already been to Georgia?
Do you have plans to visit it in 2023?
Let me know if you have any questions!
Thanks for sharing.
The best neighborhoods in Batumi are in the old town and areas around. Better to avoid areas with tall buildings like Orbi towers.
Thank's for the update Dmitrii. Do you plan on staying longterm in the Netherlands or maybe explore some other countries after a few years?
Thanks for watching!
Yes, I permanently moved to the Netherlands. It'll be my main residence for at least several years.
I am right now at Tbilisi and feeling the same. :)
Nice! Glad I am not the only one!

Can you run your company still run even you don't live in Tbilisi?
Of course. There is no requirement to live in Georgia.
Thanks brother. How is it for indians who want to open a company? Heard that taxes are less
Hey, your citizenship doesn't matter as far as I know.
Less than 1%? 😅

Yeah, could be. Never thought about it this way.

Endorphin and Big Bites were the best khachapuri restaurants in Tbilisi and they went out of business W T F
Ah, that's too bad. But there are so many great places still.
all due to Russian population increased
